Stingray city for sure! We loved it the first/last time we did Western, back in 2006 when DD was 6. She is going to be 12 by the time we make it there next, twice as old! Time flies.

That's been my hestitation with the Stingray City since DD will be 5 (only 3 weeks away from 6) if she will like it or not. How did DD take to the stingrays and swimming in the ocean?

Time sure does fly, it's so sad how fast they grow up.

We did the dolphin encounter in Cozumel and when you booked privately kids under 5 were free! My son was 4 at at the time... he had such a good time too!

I would love to do the dolphin encounter in Cozumel with DD, did you do the extreme or Royal with the foot push or did you do the kiss, hug and swim with them one. I looked at the Royal and didn't know if she would be able to do that. It looks like so much fun.

Have you guys seen the pictures of the dream from some of the people that were on it this past weekend. I posted a link:

I looks beautiful

We just did the encounter (kiss, high five) with the dolphin. it was still soo much fun! :)

School is cancelled again for tomorrow!

I can't believe the kids are out again tomorrow, the sun is shining over here and I was so hoping that this would melt some of this and maybe these cabin fever kids could get back to school. They are so bored, poor things!!

She was the last one to kiss a stingray, but she did kiss it and did warm up to them :). I had my kids try out snorkels and masks in the pool before trying them out in the ocean. That seemed to help. They both enjoy snorkeling very much. Here are some photos from our Stingray city tour. We had family with us, and it was a great tour for our large group.

Hello, everyone! After much debate on our Disney vacation future we have decided on the May 26th sailing of the Fantasy :) My two DC's (will be 6 and just a week shy of 3 at the time) have never been to Disney World so we are hoping to make this a land/sea vacation but that will depend on how many excursions I decide we need to take on the cruise LOL.

Looking at these pictures, it looks like you all had so much fun. What a neat experience. Thank you for sharing, it really lets me put this excursion back on the table!! I am planning on putting DD in swimming lessons this spring and I think that is great idea with them trying out snorkeling equipment in the pool.

:welcome:, my DD is going to be 3 weeks from 6 when we cruise also!! There are so many great excursions for this cruise, the hardest part has been narrowing them down!! Mixing WDW with the cruise is so much fun. We will probably add days to the trip at WDW also, just not sure if it will be before or after

The sting ray pics are awesome! not sure if I will be able to convince my kids :rotfl2: they don't always like touching the rays at the aquarium!!

Welcome kdm2865

I am SOOOO EXCITED!!! I just booked my first cruise ever - and it's a DC!

What fun this will be. My DH went on a 3 or 4 day Bahama cruise before we met, but other than that our whole family will be new to this.

I was getting bored with WDW (gasp! I know!) b'c I felt like I'd conquered almost everything. This gives me something new to research and be obsessive about - LOL :rotfl:

Can't wait!

Welcome SnowWhite!! Bored with WDW, how ever could that be :rotfl2:

Actually the way we booked our trip on DCL this past year was because my son said NO MORE PARKS :scared1: Seriously, how could any child of mine say no more parks, we decided the cruise was a great compromise and we had an awesome vacation!! (I did sneak in a day at MK at MNSSHP, but hey I'm mom :rotfl:).

The stingray experience looks so neat, not to mention Grand Cayman is all about stingray city, snorkeling and the beach. DH is not overly thrilled either with the idea of swimming and touching stingrays, he wants to try and find a way to play golf for the day and then the kids and I do an excursion. The eco outrage tour looks really fun also!!

Has anyone else been reading the reports on the Dream, the ship looks beautiful! I heard that the Fantasy may have a BBB on board, if so I would love to book DD on that. I am curious if they are going to do the same rotations that the Wonder and Magic did for dining, it would definitely help with planning Palo on our cruise if they followed the same schedule.

Seeing 4 pages of comments for a trip that is over a year away has inspired to post that we MIGHT be on this as well. We're on the March 27th Mexican Riviera cruise and we'll book onboard to get the discount and OBC.

We're debating between transatlantic, Europe or a new ship.

BTW, we're Dad, Mom and 2 girls who will be 7 and 9 in 2012.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have updated the 1st post with FE information, a few links, and information about Roll Call. Obviously that post is a work in progress so if there is some information you want posted please let me know and I will update. Magic3forme (Val) has volunteered to keep track of the FE so please either post here or pm her with the information if you are interested in participating.

I know we have a few new cruisers, so I will update the 1st post with information on the FE. If anyone has pictures of there FE from previous cruisers to share that would be great!!

I'm sorry if this is a silly question but since I am a new cruiser and pretty new to Disney planning in general I am a little confused about which restaurants are on the Fantasy. According to the DCL website it is Animator's Palate, Cabanas, Enchanted Garden, Palo and Remy-- it seems like one is missing??

Not silly, The Royal Palace is the one you are missing. The reason it may not be listed on the Fantasy is because the theme and name of that restaurant probably will not be the same as it is on the Dream. On Disney's other two ships the center restaurant in the atrium has two different names with different themes and I suspect they will do the same thing with the Fantasy and the Dream.

Thanks, that totally makes sense :) Too bad-- my daughter would have loved The Royal Palace!

Your daughter, I am totally disappointed :lmao:, that's my favorite on the Dream, I love the look of that restaurant.

Has anyone's kids attended the pj party in the clubs with pluto? I think DD would really enjoy this, but wanted to hear first hand what other kids thought of this.
