Sounds as though they found out at just the right time. Any sooner would have felt like a lifetime to them. Now they can help with the planning

It still feels like a lifetime with them knowing, but I am hoping with the float out and the media coverage that will probably occur once it is in New York will help with the countdown.

Thanks. It sounds like your Haley will be six during the cruise and ours only 20 months but we should try to get a picture of the two of them together.

We should definitely try to do that!!! Haley will be a few weeks away from her 6th birthday. We have been trying to explain to her that this is part of her birthday celebration, but she is not getting it!!

We just worked on our excursions this weekend. It looks like we are doing the Nautilus Undersea tour and snorkeling in Grand Cayman
Chaccoben (sp?) Ruins in Costa Maya
Private Driver in Cozumel
and then a total beach day at Castaway Cay.

Still debating whether or not we will leave Haley on the boat for the Mayan Ruins, I think she will be terribly bored and would have a better time at the clubs, but Mitch hates the thought of us going on the tour and her being on the boat with out either one of us. I still have to plan what we want to see in Cozumel for the driver.

We are also still debating when we are leaving, Mitch is trying to get Friday off, but it isn't looking good. Worst case scenario we will leave on Friday and literally just sleep. Mitch even recommended maybe stopping in Orlando and finishing the drive in the morning since we can't get to the port until 11am anyways.

For those that have cruised on the Dream lately, is the 11am time good? Does it seem to be working?

I am concerned about this as well. When we sailed on a Dream double dip cruise in June it was a full ship and the terminal was full. Back when the terminal opened at 10:30 I had an 11:00 arrival time which was the best we could get being just silver castaway club members. People with much later arrival times were already there and you could barely move. I have heard that they are now holding on to people and not letting them into the terminal until closer to the arrival times on their documentation. Does anyone know if this is true?

I am not sure if they are holding people or not. We had the 11am check in time in Sept. no one asked us anything.

We had boarding number 2 or 3..cant remember... but we were on the boat early..it was awesome! We plan to do the same thing! The kids rode the aquaduck right away. I have to figure out when we can start making our reservations!

I just called DCL tonight and requested a dining rotation. Here is what I found out:

Sat: EG (rotational)
Sun: RC (Formal)
Mon: AP (show)
Tues:EG (rotational)
Wed: RC (Pirate)
Thurs: RC (Semi Formal)
Fri: AP (rotational)

It looks as if we won't have the RC rotational dinner. I am not sure if they are going to have the Til We Meet Again menu on the last night.

Now here is for hoping for Palo on Tuesday night

Our night before at the La Quinta Beachfront is also not going to cost me anything since I stay at that hotel so much during the last several years my reward points totally covered our stay that night. DH is totally looking forward to our day there so that he can have dinner at Fishlips.

I have started looking at excursions also. My husband really wants to do the Mayan ruins.
Verygfy - where did you find your information about the excursion at Costa Maya?
He also like the submarine or semi-sub at Grand Cayman, but we are trying to decide which one. I told him I would do some more research.

Both of those excursions I got on DCL website under port excursions, and then of course I read a few reviews from both here and cruise critic.
