Good Morning Jeni!
1} Dont forget sunscreen
2} If you havnt already made them, you might want to go directly to the Vista Spa and see if any treatments are left and
3} Once your luggage arrives at your cabin, take 45-an hour to unpack and get acclaimated to your cabin and breathe!
First time on the Magic {2003} I was too excited and didnt do any of that and spent time living out of suitcases and taking care of stuff for my family.
2nd time on the Magic{2005} I took the time, unpacked and relaxed and had a much better time {if thats possible!;) } because I wasnt living out of a suitcase!
The Magic will still be there even if you do take that little time!
Have a great day
Rita

Good info here but i just head for the Bar first thing:banana: :rotfl:

Does anyone know if we will be charged a fee for using our credit card/bank card on the ship? I was just wondering since the ship will still be considered American money.

Also, to all you pro cruisers. What is the one thing you would tell someone to pack that a new cruiser would never think of? Thanks.

No fee. The charge itself is in U.S. dollars.

What to pack???? It's more like what NOT to pack. Best advice - pack what you think you need. Then take half of it out of your suitcase. You'll never use it.

Does anyone know the average cost of a meal in Barcelona? We are trying to figure out how much we would spend on food for one day (for two people). Thanks.

Barcelona, barcelona, barcelona.....

Big city prices pretty much. I'm seeing about 10E for lunch, unless you go fancy - then it can get up to 30E. Dinners around 30E. As in any big city, there are bargain places and there are expensive places. You'll just have to hunt around. Expect to pay high $ in touristy spots like outdoor cafe's with people-watching privileges on the Ramblas.

Of course Euros aren't equivalent to dollars, so add 40-50% to that tab to cover conversion costs.

If you want to save $, eat at places like La Boqueria market. Eat a large lunch and do tapas/dessert for dinner instead. BTW - tortillas for breakfast are omlettes.

I don't see it as much different than here in Ft. Lauderdale, well - that is if the $ and Euro were comparable (which they aren't).

Okay - I need a poll here. Who is planning on bringing their fish extender? For those of you that don't know what a fish extender is - well, it's really cool. There's got to be a pic somewhere... Oh Peter?????

Disney has little "fish" next to your door whichi can be used to clip mail or letters to. Seeing how this isn't quite BIG enough for DISers, a few wonderful people created fish "extenders". They have pockets in them so that you can get even MORE stuff in your "fish" mail.

I have been asked if people will be bringing their fish extenders. Why? Because some very nice people would like to share a little something extra in your fish mail.

I was confused by Peter because he asked where I was going to put mine and I thought "on my fish" :rotfl:

If I have room in my bags, I will be bringing mine!!

It is suggested, but not required... :cool1:

I'm hoping it's ok to bring a Spanish wine from my home away from home - Barcelona :lmao: There is no way I'm going to try to fit in a bottle from home. You're all just going to have to sail with me again sometime to try some fantastic Wisconsin wine !! I'm going on September 1, 2008 with a party in the Roy Suite there too ;)

Wait a minute - should "fantastic wine" and "Wisconsin" really be in the same sentence? :rotfl2:

Another response:

An onboard credit can be used to cover anything that is charged to the
stateroom account (i.e. gifts, merchandise, refreshments, etc.) and is
placed on the stateroom folio. Guests receive an enclosure card in
their stateroom that notifies them about the onboard credit, who
arranged it, and any special message.

To purchase an Onboard Credit, please call 800-601-8455 Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 10:00 PM (EST) or Saturday - Sunday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM (EST).

Guests can exchange dollars for Euros or Euros for dollars onboard the
ship at Guest Services. It will be exchanged at the prevailing rate,
there will not be a charge for the exchange.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Hello Dear Friends! :cool1:

I had a few questions....:confused3

First, after the cruise, my girlfriend and I are going to Malaga(Costa Del Sol), for a couple days, then up to Madrid for a couple more, and I was wondering if anyone else had plans to spend some additional time in Spain? We are going to Malaga not only because it is Gorgeous, but so we can take a day trip over to Tangier, Morocco and Gibralter (I've been to both several times and LOVE going there). Then we are going to Madrid and getting a car and hitting Toledo and some of the surrounding areas. It's going to be fun, and I just wanted to see if we will see any of you in one of or both of those cities?

Second, is anyone making Door Signs? For those of you not familiar, people will use the magnetic sheets printed with cool designs on their door. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a nice design we could download and use on our doors as well... :woohoo:

Lastly, are we all meeting up on the first day so we can finally see each other in person? :grouphug: It would be nicce to touch base, and if we have a listing (voluntary of course) of where everyone is located and of the events we have planned, that would be great... On a previous cruise we did a "DIS-Navigator" in lime green and handed them out to everyone... Just a couple thoughts.... :rolleyes1
