I got one set of documents today lol, apparently putting my minor child on the other room made him the lead passenger since we are Gold sailing with first timers. However no envelope for my name yet. Glad it came before he was home and I didn't have him check the mail because he would have been all over the fact that it was in his name and want to open it lol.

I just looked at the spread sheet and noted that our bracelets are not on it. I know you received our request b/c I am pretty sure I got a note from you about it. We are in cabin 10570 and its 3 youth and 2 adults. Please let me know if there are any problems. We're so excited and can't wait to participate for the first time!

I was thinking about that this weekend. I like that we did it by the pools last time because the kids could swim, there are drink machines right there, tables and chairs and loungers, etc. I was thinking that Diana could set up shop on a table somewhere between the Mickey and Donald pools, port side, since it seems that the starboard side (that is the side facing the terminal) was busier. Let me take a look at the deck plans again, as I'm thinking that is DIRECTLY where the drink station is, so maybe starboard side would be better.

We were cruisers on the Fantasy that endured Hurricane Sandy back in October, so now we are ready to finish our trip . . . .

Yep the cruise contract page that you sign is all you really need. The book is mostly helpful if you have port transfers.

I'm packed for my sneaking off without my kid cruise for next week though lol. Then after I get back from that I will probably start packing what I won't need to use before the cruise. It will make things easier as some stuff will be packed from that trip.

I like the poolside g2g as long as the weather is decent. A few weeks ago I read about a FE group reserving one of the bar areas for their group. The lady said there was a cast member by the door to direct traffic as well. The kids were in a contained space so that they could mingle a little more amongst themselves. Although i think having the green bracelets eliminates this issue. Of course with thousands of threads being started daily on the Dis, I doubt I can find it.

I like the idea of inside, containment for kids is always a great idea.. wink.
I found one DISgroup that met inside and they took a group photo-- with A DISNEY CHARACTER!!
Anyways, I wonder if we could set something up in advance and have a photo op with a character, that would be cool! Here is the photo: (I have never done this before, I hope the image uploads!) They also met later at 3pm...

I guess I would vote for a later meet time if we wanted a group photo with a character.... But hey, it's all about whatever works...

OMG you sound like me! I already have stuff in my suitcase like sunscreen, water shoes, etc. I could pack today....but then all my clothes would be wrinkled. LOL!

There are some places inside on other decks that would work, but I figure that folks would like to enjoy the air and if it rains, we'd be under cover, or close to it.

EDIT: Checked the deckplans for deck 11 and port side (left side for you landlubbers) between the Donald and Mickey pools will work well I think. If anyone has any other ideas, let's hear them!

Also, what time? I'm thinking around 12:30 to 2:00 or so (after getting something to eat). Too much later and you run into ship tours, spa raffles, etc.

This sounds good to me. We can always have an inside area too in case of rain. We were on the Magic in Oct 2011 when they had the horrible storm come up and the deck party was inside the ship that day. Was not good at all. I am hoping for beautiful weather and our first real deck party this trip.

I have my Disney box ready all the time that I keep stuff in so all I have to do is throw all that stuff in my suitcase with some clothes and I am all set.

Our pirate costumes came in this week. DD & I bought semi-formal and formal dresses. Our shoes should be here tomorrow. DH is having a custom suit made that should be ready by the end of the month.

Between getting ready for the end of school and packing for the trip, the next month should fly by!
