May 25th, 2013 Fantasy Western!

So excited! Today I received all of my door magnets. I had them printed at a printing company. I think I went just a little overboard with them. Doing the Mickey Head theme. I think I literally had 40 of them printed and we still have several months to go. Oh well.... Just part of the fun I suppose.

I don't see our info on the spreadsheet. Here is our info:

Cabin #1
Bruce and Andrea Ferguson
Kaelyn (16) Jade (5)
Celebrating Jade's 6th birthday on 5/30
Participating in FE: still thinking

Cabin #2
Mark and Kathy Moore
Madison (6) Food allergy: Milk
Participating in FE: Still Thinking

Is there any other information you need to know??

Got you on the spreadsheet. Just let me know if you want to do the FE Exchange. Also, I'm assuming that all 3 children are girls, but you never know just going by names.

Yes. All 3 children are girls.
Thanks so much!!

Still over 170 days until we fly out to Orlando but I just honestly can't wait! As soon as the 180-day dinning reservation window kicked in last Monday and me making all of those reservations for WDW, the whole trip feels sooooo real! :)

Let me know if anyone is staying at WDW pre-cruise - would be happy to meet up for a drink or two! Oh, and we have a pontoon boat reserved for Illuminations on Monday before cruise, so if you're interested in sharing, let me know.

I am also VERY excited. I have literally gone totally overboard on the door magnets. I think I am now at 48 but I am sharing with our friends. We are stopping in at Sea World prior to the cruise. I LOVE Disney but my DD wants to see the whales so we are coming down a couple of days early for that. Ready to get this cruise started!! I think half the fun is the anticipation!!

We would like to join the FE.

Andy and Cindy
Emily(15) ( turning 15 during the cruise)
Ally(11) ( very jealous that her sister has a birthday during the cruise- her bday in October is not a time we can cruise)
Cabin 10542

WOW, less than half a year? Seemed so far away, but now it doesn't. We won't be staying at WDW before the cruise, but will be there for a week after.

I know what you mean. I made all our reservations on the 180 day mark and got everything I wanted. I even got Le Cellier for lunch one day. We are hoping for free dining but I doubt we will get it in May. We will be using the Tables in Wonderland discount anyway so we plan on doing lots of eating this trip between WDW and the cruise. I already responded on a big Yes to the cruise on Facebook. I hope we get 4 more people to share this experience. I have heard it is a wonderful cruise. Illuminations is our favorite fireworks show.:worship:

OK everyone. We are under our 6 month mark now. We really need to decide on our group name so those of us doing the FE can work on gifts. I think we had some ideas before so what do you think is our top 2 to choose from? Or did we decide on one and I don't remember?:rotfl2:

Well, since Meghatron bailed on us, we don't have a leader. So . . . I nominate you to get a consensus on cruise name. :thumbsup2

OK Madeline, got you on the spreadsheet. Looks like you'll be neighbors with libpetersen and crew!

FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE INFORMATION

OK folks, we're starting to get up there in the number of cabins signed up for the FE Exchange. To keep costs down, as well as the amount of space needed to get gifts to the ship, I like to split the group once we get to about 20 cabins. I also leave it up to you if you want to deliver to all cabins even though you'll only receive gifts from those on 'your half' of the list (and from anyone on the other half that decides to deliver to all). This should be fun, not a wallet buster.

There was a question on our Facebook page about having to do 70 some gifts now that the list has grown. Remember, you don't HAVE to have a gift for each person, gifts can be per stateroom if it's that kind of gift.

The only question I have for you right now is, do you want to split the list right in the middle or do you want to mix it up so you get to visit all decks? That's more running around, but it's sort of fun to walk all over the ship. And you could always deliver to top decks one day and lower decks the next. Chime in and let me know.

We won't split the list until about 6 or 8 weeks out (maybe we'll have 3 groups by then!) If this will cause a problem for you because you're creating personalized gifts, then maybe we can split earlier. At any rate, I'd like to freeze the list at that time and if there are any stragglers, they can be added to a latecomers list and exchange between themselves, with individual 'earlybirds' given the option to join that group in addition to their original for more fun.

Whew, that means only 3.5 months left until we wrap up the lists. Sounds long, but it will go fast.

I vote for splitting the list in the middle. That will be a lot of running around anyway on such a large ship. I also think that having two groups will help keep costs down. We are just doing one FE for each room and not for individuals in case anyone is confused on that issue. We may put some age specific items in the bag but that was much easier and cheaper for us to do.

On another note, I need some input from everyone. I know there haven't been a lot of people posting on this thread very often but we are getting closer to trip time. Can you all think of what you want our group name to be and post it here? If we can narrow it down to two then we can all vote and pick one. Lets hear all the great ideas!

I will try and think of a really good one. How about "Cruising on a Fantasy"?

OK, I read that and it looked like I was telling everyone to do just one gift for each cabin. :sad2: I just meant that is what WE are doing. Everyone of course can do whichever they want.::yes::

Well to be honest that has been my hesitation. I have never done this before but that many staterooms and people made it a little overwhelming.
