NICE! Are you one to just need a one way?

I just bought my son and myself some waterproof hiking boots at LL Bean today. Ok, I admit, I don't plan on hiking really but they are waterproof and if needed, then we will have dry feet going on our excursions. And really not very bulky which will be good for packing (would wear them on the plane if I didn't have to take shoes off!!). So now that I bought them there should be no worries about rain! Sunny the whole trip!!!

You can thank me later :)

Sweet, washed car and waterproof shoes. We will have Wonderful weather on our cruise;)

:dance3: We are up next :dance3:

Thoughts of this cruise to help get thru the gov't shutdown and budget "talks" Fingers crossed, it does not last too long and impact too many people.

We are scheduled to visit 3 national parks/monuments next week for our fall break. We are anxiously awaiting some kind of budget agreement so we don't have to cancel our plans.

But, there's always next year to look forward to! :goodvibes

Yes, we're going to fly SWA into Seattle on the way up and take the train into Vancouver. I need to get back on Monday for work, so I'm flying back by myself. Mom and my aunt are going to go back to Seattle on Monday and fly home Tuesday on SWA...

:woohoo: We have started making our FE gifts! 15 done, lots more to go! :goodvibes

Fingers crossed here as well, it does not last long!

I'm so sorry!

I'm sorry about your plans. Nothing like a vacation ruined by a bunch of overgrown children ;)

But on the upside, you have extra money for next year;)

Thanks!

I know, right! It is definitely looking like we'll have to pull the plug on this trip tomorrow. :(

But, you're right, more money for Alaska! ;) Thank goodness, DCL is not run by the government! ::yes::

Well, our fall trip has just officially become a victim of the fed shutdown! I had to cancel it. We'll try again next year, after Alaska!

Oh no!!! Boooo this bums need to get their stuff (but interchange that with a not so nice term inserted here) together. You are still on for Alaska right now right?

So not to get on a political debate but do we have any idea when this might end? I think it is awful peoples lives are being destroyed by this childlike behavior. Right now the only thing that effects is potentially is the renewing of my som's passport (expires in March). I'm just wondering if I should submit it now because I know there will be a huge backlog because I know they are open but not processing as normal. Should I worry? Do you think it would be too much to do it now?

I know, right?

Anyway, when we submit our passports, we submit them through our City Hall, so I would go ahead and put your son's in the queue. I don't see the shut down going further than next week. I don't think Congress really wants not to be able to borrow money.

That's crappy! I'm sorry. Welcome to the USA - everything is closed!

I would submit now.

I think that is the general consensus/hope. My concern is all the "we will win", "don't blink" statements that may make them feel that they can't back down, no matter what. It's like they are playing chicken on the freeway.

I would do your passport now. Dh is in the same boat. He needs to get his passport done also :scared:

Yeh I think I will after we get back from WDW on Nov 4. Everything is ready except a pic. What a PITA.

You leave just before we arrive in WDW. Too bad our paths won't cross, it would have been nice to meet before the cruise. Are you going to be testing out the MagicBands?

Yup we got them and all set up. Should be interesting. I know being DVC and PAP holders we will still have to pull our cards out for discounts and also we have a photo pass plus so I'll have to have that handy too. Ugh. I just hope the temps go down. I am not looking forward to mid 80s really haha
