May 24, 2014 Alaskan 9 night Wonder

Moon,

Thanks! If it doesn't involve Photoshop, I can muddle through. However, you started the Mice and Ice and the background. I just ran with it. I'm glad you like them. I like Alaskan Wonderness! I'll work up another sample using your suggestions.

Okay... please let me know what you think.

Do you like "Alaskan Wonder" or "Alaskan Wonderness"?

tink, your group all gave the same gift? I can see how that might be necessary for such a large group, but I really hope we don't end up doing that as I already know what I am doing. Maybe I would have to be my own group.

I am so jealous of your Panama canal sailing--that is on my bucket list, but I don't think DH can get that much time away from his office.

Yes, we gave as a group, same gift for all, but since it was a special cruise and our DIS group was so big, this was a way for people to particpate but not have the expense of doing 400+ cabins as an individual. I did and I know others also did something themselves, :ssst:except I didn't do every cabin. I did the poeple that I had become close to prior to the cruise. We did have many pre-cruise meets at DL for those of us in Califorinia. It was a very special group, some who are now our closest friends.

:wave2:

Just wanted to say we're in :cool1:

The chaos will be me, DH, DD(16), and DS(8) on deck 6

We have planned this as a Surprise Christmas and Graduation cruise but....I am surprising DH with a surprise ;) His bday is in May, hehehe.

Like the logo. Can't wait to add it to signiture or whatever.

Not sure if we can do the FE, I got the packing down to a science for the Caribbean Cruises and this is our first Alaska Cruise :faint: Kinda not sure what to pack and alittle concerned about the weather. We are not cold weather people. Then to throw the big monkey wrench into it, we are fly in from Japan:scared:

:wave2:

Hawaii had closer to 200. :scared1: They split it up in to groups. Our April cruise they are also splitting into groups, which helps those that don't want to do too many. If someone wants to do everyone they just signed up for each group. I'm all for laid back and easy! I'm still pondering participation -- who am I kidding, the kids talk me into it every time!

Oh lord! I feel faint with 200!

Here's an attempt. I like the picture but I don't really like the saying. Maybe Mice on Ice. :lmao: Seriously, I'm open for ideas. Plus I will need to make it smaller.

I am loving these even though I can't see em all very well on the phone I LOVE this pic!!

We did the WB Panama in 2008 and, if I remember correctly, we had like 400. we did break it out into groups, and each group chose 1 gift to give. My group did a dry erase magnet w/pen and our logo on the bottom. Mine is still on my fridge. :goodvibes

Oh man!!! MAN DOWN MAN DOWN!!! 400?!?!? *faint*

MousseauMob said:
Thought about that one, until my DS and DD said it sounded too much like Mike and Ike! :lmao:

Hahaha now I'm thinking Mike's Hard Lemonade

In rereading this I got such a chuckle out of "by next week" and now, a day or so later, you are in charge. I love it. Kind of like, we thought about the Alaskan cruise, and then next day it is booked, and then days later it becomes a B2B for me with SIL going as well. I can move on Disney related decisions faster than on anything else in my life. :goodvibes

A little ADDisney perhaps ;) SQUIRREL!

pequele,

The first page looks great!

Thanks. I haven't got a chance to check the google docs Moon made up but I think that will work too and I will put a link in there. I will also keep tabs on the 1st post for people by putting in a "last updated" note

 disneyfaninaz, I think you did a great job for someone who said "However, don't look at me, because I am not creative enough on the computer to make one."

Of all of your options I like this "Mice and Ice" lettering the best...

...and this version of the other wording the best. The words look better to me with the name and dates having a slightly thicker outline and the itinerary with a thinner outline. Plus I like that you used "Alaskan Wonder" because I have been calling the trip "Alaskan Wonderness" since booking day. I just like the way Alaskan and Wonder sound together. :goodvibes

Love 'Wonderness'

and one more choice:

how about Alaskan WonderLand

Love 'Wonderland' too!

It is apparent I can't keep working all day, you guys have too much fun in here while I'm gone! Tonight I have to work on making a shirt for my son so he can have it for our May trip. Do you realize it is nearly March already!!! Eek!

Oh, I understand and it makes all the sense in the world with a group that large. I have no doubt that I was participating in a FE group that size, it would sure take a lot of pressure off. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun and made lasting friendships. :goodvibes

Welcome Aboard. Wow, coming from Japan, are you living there?

The more trip reports I read and pictures I see from trips taken around our time frame, the more I am starting to think it isn't going to be as cold as I had thought it would be. I see lots of people in t-shirts, shorts and the cold times seem to be Tracy Arm and around the glaciers. I had thought it would be cold all the time, but I am now thinking that isn't so.

Ooh. This version of Mice and Ice looks really COOL! (pun intended again :p)

I love it with Wonderness! I'm going to download a copy now in case I get out voted. :cutie:

Actually it was MousseauMob who started the background and slogan.

:wave2: Welcome!

2 surprises in one vacation! Nice!

Thanks for correcting me. I want to give credit where credit is due. Thanks MousseauMob for getting it started.

I don't know if we have a concensus yet on Wonderness (I like how it kinds of sounds like Wilderness), Wonderland or just plain Wonder. Hopefully we'll get some more feedback before making anything final.

First post is "looking good".

I don't know anything about google docs, so you guys will have to give some good instruction on how to use it, but it sounds like a good plan to me.

Actually with what I put together all you have to do is click the link, fill in your info in the form and google docs will do the rest of the work.

That's exactly where I was going with it. I actually started with Wilderness in my ticker and then I remembered Wonder and put the 2 together.

You can't see it in my sig yet because I have too much in there, so it's buried in my until my Med cruise is over, but here it is

Anyway I agree to let some more votes come in before a decision is made.

Okay, here's another version. I really need to quit now! :rotfl:

miceandicealt2.jpg

seriously I am LOVING these. My favorite font has to be with the Ice Age like font!

HI!!! you can always dress in layers on the plane :lmao: j/k. I am an AWFUL over packer, so I won't even attempt to give you any advise! When is your husband's bday? Mine is the 10th so I guess I'll be celebrating a little, too!

I love em both. I'll throw in another... The WONDERful 9 Night Alaskan Cruise! :rotfl2: Now I'm just messin with y'all!

I just added them but can't get them to be "pretty" links...like just clicking on the title to take you to the page. What am I doing wrong? :badpc:

Sheesh, I can't keep up with you guys! Pesky job keeps me away from my vacation planning fun. What is up with that? :confused3 Don't they know I'm missing out on the fun! :lmao:

Here's a link to the original picture of Mickey and Minnie for those that wanted it.

Mousseau--I love the picture, and I hope we are able to get shots like that on our sailing.

Question for those of you that have been on the Wonder to Alaska, I saw some pictures of the Outlook Cafe, and in one of the pictures, there were several cast iron teapots sitting on the bar. That is what we use for making tea here at home, and I am wondering if those are available to use in the bar or if a CM makes it for you?

I don't remember the Outlook Cafe, was it added when the Wonder started sailing to Alaska or did I just totally miss it when I sailed on her over 11 years ago.

I saw that too a few days ago. Those pots look triple the size of mine at home. But I also notice there seems to be a menu next to the selection of pots. I was thinking maybe it was self serve and you pay per cup.

Never been in Outlook on any ship though so hopefully someone has the correct answer.
