I'm doing an FE on our first cruise this May (3 night Bahamian). Not organizing it either! But we only have like 10 cabins which is good and not too crazy. Some people have had like 100! That freaks me out!

We did the WB Panama in 2008 and, if I remember correctly, we had like 400. we did break it out into groups, and each group chose 1 gift to give. My group did a dry erase magnet w/pen and our logo on the bottom. Mine is still on my fridge.

I don't mind organizing. I still haven't decided if I'm participating (even though I already know what I'm planning to give ), but I don't mind organizing it. I like to do it with freedom of people deciding when they want to deliver and not assigning specific dates. If you all are ok with that let me know. Or if someone else has their heart set on being "FE Captain", I can step back.

Here's an attempt. I like the picture but I don't really like the saying. Maybe Mice on Ice. Seriously, I'm open for ideas. Plus I will need to make it smaller.

How about Mice and Ice? But I think the font looks looks cool so far. (Pun intended)

Ok I know I don't have the majority vote, but since every vote so far has been in favor, I'm going to take the FE Captain title and run with it! By tomorrow or the next day I should have a link for signups. The deadline for a mutiny will be 2/28/13. (Just in case new people join this thread and wanted to have a go at it). I'm a fair Captain.

I am also in favor of splitting up into groups if it gets too big. It's a lot less pressure. But you have the option to give to everybody participating if you want to.

It wasn't my first thought, but I can see how they would get that. I don't think it's too much alike. I think you were on the right track. But I'll shut up now and let others give their opinions.

I am so jealous of your Panama canal sailing--that is on my bucket list, but I don't think DH can get that much time away from his office.

Moondaughter23 and I were thinking the Google doc could provide a bit more info about your room, contact info, I was wondering even about maybe (when it gets closer) excursion info perhaps? I can put the link in the 1st post for everyone, too. That way if I slack off for a little bit people can add their info into the doc and all won't be lost??

I don't mind updating the 1st post now that you guys gave me that "duh" moment! I'm still laughing at myself that I couldn't figure THAT out!

And I am NOT good with photoshop, still a newbie! I have no idea even HOW to make a siggie thingie!

First post is "looking good".

I don't know anything about google docs, so you guys will have to give some good instruction on how to use it, but it sounds like a good plan to me.

I'm 75% sure I want to participate. And it's growing stronger by the minute. By next week I might be all in.

In rereading this I got such a chuckle out of "by next week" and now, a day or so later, you are in charge. I love it. Kind of like, we thought about the Alaskan cruise, and then next day it is booked, and then days later it becomes a B2B for me with SIL going as well. I can move on Disney related decisions faster than on anything else in my life.

But you're right. I didn't even have to wait until "next week." I was all in by dinner.

Okay, here's another version. I really need to quit now!

...and this version of the other wording the best. The words look better to me with the name and dates having a slightly thicker outline and the itinerary with a thinner outline. Plus I like that you used "Alaskan Wonder" because I have been calling the trip "Alaskan Wonderness" since booking day. I just like the way Alaskan and Wonder sound together.
