May 23, 2011 - The UNOFFICIAL "The Bachelorette" - NO SPOILERS, please!

We noticed she isn't wearing a ring, and when will they announce the batchelor?

They don't usually announce the next bachelor/bachelorette until the After the Final Rose show.

Why isn't there even an "After the Final Rose" episode? Usually that's where the guy not chosen gets to confront the Bachelorette to get some closure. Maybe there is no show as there is no NEED to have one. :scratchin

At the end of the show they said to be sure and watch "After the Final Rose" tomorrow night after the Finale.

My TV listings are showing After the Final Rose airs right after the Bachelorette, where all will be revealed... except of course the stuff that we really want to know. :rolleyes1

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Wow, it's going to be a long nite. I am so ready for this show to be over with. :headache: So not worth the time I know I am wasting on it.

Just curious, but is everybody going to watch Batchelor Pad? We call it Batchelor Orgy. I am so not going to waste my time with it. Didn't watch season one. Not gonna watch season two either. I dunno, it just sorta feels :crazy2: to me.

I think more than ever now that Bentley was actually hired by the show to add some spice by his whole drama. A new twist on "The most unexpected Bachelorette ever!" Why else would the producers & Chris let him continue to be on the show when they saw his continual interviews saying his real feelings. The producers are responsible, ultimately for hand choosing each candidate for the Bachelor & Bachelorette. It's supposed to be a give that they try the best they can to choose someone RIGHT for them. They can't help when someone lies & comes on the show (like William) more to become famous. But when one person openly admits he's NOT there for the Bachelorette and continues to scheme, they leave him on the show? Chris never even addressed that point.

Dh mentioned that tonight too. If the true purpose of the show is to help someone find love, they wouldn't allow all this drama nonsense. I think the producers are making a mistake by creating all the drama. It's enough for me to just watch the couples try to make a connection and see the progression. The catty, drama filled, insincere people just annoy me & make me not want to watch.

I do think it's totally unrealistic for the bachelorette to expect a guy to be ready to propose after this. It is not real life and I would be more inclined to pick the guy who wouldn't propose. He is probably the most level headed and really wants it to be a one-time, forever proposal, not just some TV proposal that rarely lasts to the actual marriage.

Is sleazy the word you were looking for? :scared1: I made the mistake of watching it, yuck!! I will pass on this one.

I couldn't agree more. I think if they said something like, "On the next bachelor, we just brought in some normal people that we thought you might like and they're all really nice... no crazies." Would that be so bad? Seems to me that's what the show started out with. Now every show is THE MOST SHOCKING EPISODE YET!!!!!! Give me a break. Usually if you replace the word "shocking" with "lame" you're pretty spot on.

As for the proposal... let's see... The guy (or gal) who gets the final rose will have spent one day with her and her parents, one day with her and his parents, one day on a one on one date (two if you're lucky). And mingled with a bunch of other people for the rest of the time. So... three full(ish) days and a few minutes here and there. Oh, that's enough to base the rest of your life on. Absolutely! :sad2:

Tim has such a Long Island accent. :rotfl:
And a really stupid tattoo. It was gross and I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

After watching tonight's show I don't think she chooses either guy.

I think she chooses Ben. I hope it's not JP, he doesn't deserve the trainwreck it would cause him. Ben can easily drink his stress away, lol!

Putting on my broadcast exec cap the only true purpose of any show is to draw revenue.

Drama, intrigue and controversy cause people to watch. They knew from the VERY beginning that Ashley was about as interesting as watching paint dry so they caused the whole "michelle money" scenario upfront.:sad2: This show is a reality wannabe manager's DREAM. :cloud9:

Like Imzadi said, this was probably the most obvious of all of the previous "scripts".

Agreed. I'd still watch and be more inclined to watch future seasons if they had some freaknig normal contestants. I'm tired of the most shocking episode tags too.

What are you saying, that you can't build a life long marriage off of 3 1/2 days of lust?? ;) Ya, the system is flawed. It sounds like the show works for very few couples and that the REAL relationship begins after the show. Only two couples have married with one other couple still engaged. And how many seasons has this show been on for?? ;)

Ben seems more stable to me and someone more willing to deal with Ashley's baggage and constant need for affirmation. JP is a good guy but I think he'd grow weary of that soon. I wouldn't be surprised if she turned both of them down. JP still seems hung up on the girl who broke his heart anyway. Tonight should be interesting...Ashley's sister seems to be against one of the guys and I'm wondering why.

I DVRd the special last night, but haven't watched it yet. Thinking of fast forwarding through most of it. Are the bloopers at the end? That's my favorite part.

I have never watched Bachelor Pad, never even been tempted, but now that I "know" some of the guys (never watch Bachelor either, only Bachelorette) I might check it out.

So are we all gathering here tonight to watch the finale?!?! :) I have been on strike with watching it each week but I kinda feel that I need to watch the culmination of this shipwreck.

I'll only be on after it's all over (maybe the next day... maybe tonight). Is everyone ready for what we've all been waiting for?!?!? Free Monday nights!! :cool1:

:lmao:

I had never watched any of the seasons...until I found out a girl I graduated highschool with was on Brad's season...and after watching the special last night now know she is on bachelor pad...I get the point of the bachelor/bachelorette..but is there a goal on bachelor pad? Is it about love or money or both? :happytv:

Ashley, Ashley, Ashley, you have major issues! A guy is not going to fix you!:thumbsup2

Ashley needs to stop playing With her bangs!!
