Hooray for keeping your job....a job anyway! I've been a bookkeeper for so long, I don't know how I'd deal with the switch, but I'm betting you'll do just great!

I wish I lived close to a beach. It's my dream some day.

The knee feels pretty good today, actually. Maybe these shots are starting to work.

We love living near the beach, it's just hard to pick some where to vacation!!

I keep telling my husband that if we moved to Florida, it would be soooo much easier to get to all of his favorite Caribbean destinations.....we wouldn't need to think about buying on an island, we could go to them all!

I keep telling my husband that if we moved to Florida, it would be soooo much easier to get to all of his favorite Caribbean destinations.....we wouldn't need to think about buying on an island, we could go to them all!

I wish we lived further south, it's a drive to anywhere from here.

I really have to finish my FEs and pack. I'd do it now (yes I know its 4 AM) but people are sleeping in my "staging area". Mack craweled into bed sometime around 3 AM with a bad dream. I haven't slept since so I thought I'd check in with all of you. You guys sure pack well. I'm so jealous.

I have no excuse for Sunday but Saturday; we had the girls' haircuts, a baby shower, then a softball game, then the Pens game. We are big on Hockey in this house. Taylor (16) is more into hockey than most guys I know. She explains the rules to me. (Hey, does anyone know where the Stanley Cup Finals will show on the ship just in case they go all the way?) The little one has 3 more softball games before we leave.

We leave in 8 days (spening 4 nights at AKV before the ship) and I don't even know where all my shorts are. I thought they were in storage and did take a cursory look today... I've been using my leg surgery as an excuse. I should have never scheduled it so close to the cruise!

See? Typing all of that and I could have been looking!

It's hot here today, 91 degrees! Spent 2.5 hours at the pool this morning, we're inside now and I'm gonna do some PACKING while listening to a Castaway CD that DCL sent me when we retunred from our 2005 7 day cruise (a survival kit...I don't know if they do that anymore or not...)

POPPINS2000 and Heather- That is so funny! I just pulled out my Castaway Club CD Friday evening and played it during Happy Hour!! Love the steel drum music!

Getting so excited! I am planning to order the stateroom decorations today!

Only eight days of work left until vacation!!!!

Are there any early morning walkers out there? I am an early deck 10 walker if any one is interested. I would love the company. Usually it's me and the cm's cleaning and arranging chairs.

I tried to make up a "Twelve Days til Cruising" song, (like the Twelve Days of Christmas) but I am just not creative enough.

12 days to go until the cruise!!! 10 until we are driving to FL!!

Got dh new pants today, have to take them to be hemmed up later today.

Dh still needs to finish the Fish Extender...he cut the wood, but still needs to fix it so we can hang it up!! He thought he was done once he cut it...

I was talking by PM with another cruiser who is thinking of walking in the mornings. I'm not sure what time. I'm not an early morning type of person (well, when I don't have to be) so I'm not sure how early I'll be up. But I do want to walk almost every day!

Wow...only 12 more days...and I have not done any sort of packing or anything at all to get ready...other than shopping. I think all outfits are now accounted for!
I do want to walk also...how early is "early"?? I am not much of an early riser either...but I need to do something to make sure I do not gain any more weight!! And, I think I can get up a little easier on vacation because there's something fun to do...as opposed to getting up and going to work!

Notes to each FE participant? Note on the old door? I guess the only other alternative is to tell everyone at the first meet.

which reminds me, have we fixed the first meet? I know sailaway party was mentioned, did we pick a deinfite location? I think we need to make sure we've fixed it so early travellers who won't have internet know.

I've only got 4 days left in the office. hurrah

I think we'd agreed on meeting directly after the lifeboat drill....just as/before the sailaway party is starting, on Deck 10, Starboard.

That way, we'd meet early enough that families with little ones can still go down to Deck 9 and dance.


And yes...if you upgrade at the port, find someone and pass the word at Sailaway....or try to have it written on small pieces of paper to hand out.
