Happy Tuesday!! Saving us from page 3!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and begining of the work week.

Ds only has school mon-thurs this week...and then is off Friday and all next week for spring break. Did I mention he made the Golf team at his school?? He is so excited about it!!!

Sorry, I somehow missed this post. Congrats to your DS! That's awesome!

Heather, it wasn't that bad. The only bad thing was the overpasses being closed since there's nothing but overpasses between our house and the airport. A couple of hours later you didn't even know it had snowed.

That good. I know we watched a few accidents LIVE on the news cams...they were all on overpasses.

The news did show a cop car going over one of the overpasses (they thought he was demonstrating what would happen, not sure on that one) and he ended up fishtailing. And there was one accident I know of, idiot went around the barricade, but they just left it until the overpasses opened again.

I'm surprised that the price of this cruise hasn't changed at all. Laura & Sandi, I don't remember how early you booked the last cruise but within 3 months of me booking, the price jumped $1000. I think I booked in October of '04 & it jumped $1000 after the Christmas cruise that year. I wonder will we'll see it start to fill. I guess the economy is putting a damper on everything right now.

I'm having a hard time getting excited about it when I know I'll have to suffer through another winter before it's cruise time again. I've had a major case of the winter blues for the last 3 months!

Hey Sandi! Usually we suth-na's just snicker when we hear about those winters in the north (although being from the north, I have lived through many!). But this year, I think we all truly feel sorry for y'all. It has been an unbelievable winter. I have friends in New England who are still trying to dig out. And I know many cities had so much snow there was no where to put it.

So we feel your pain. I hope you have a beautiful spring & summer - you all sure deserve it!

I haven't checked the prices of this cruise either. Ya know...I was supposed to get confirmation in the mail when I changed the dates and I never got it. I have been on line and see that the date changed to this trip. Sometimes Disney mail for ME gets sent to my friends house in FL???? Go figure that one!!

For the next TEN days I don't have to get up at 6:30 am!!! Spring Break is great (this is the first year I haven't been working it since ds was born).

DS and I are going to DD's in Kentucky over his spring break. We'll leave on Thursday and get back on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, depending on the weather and things. Her fiance is having surgery tomorrow to remove a pituitary tumor behind his eye, so we'll be playing it by ear for when he gets home from the hospital. I have a few days coming to me since I was supposed to be off the week of painting, but was in here working instead. I've been getting up around 5:15 with DH every morning. That gets old, so will be ready to sleep in for a week. Other DD's due date (for my GRANDSON) has been moved from Apr. 26 to Apr. 14, so next month should be exciting.

Don't know. A few dates have started going up next year but not ours. Probably has to do with how they were released. No big hype.

Yes, this is our first grandchild. Everyone is very excited. They weren't going to find out the sex, but her husband was looking during the last sonogram and thought he saw something. The doctor confirmed. They only had a girl's name picked out, so they are trying to come up with an alternative that they both like. DD's fiance came through the surgery OK yesterday, but will be in intensive care for a couple of more days. He didn't lose sight in his eye, which is what they were worried about. They won't know long-term effects for awhile. Thank for the prayers and PD. I'm not the only one around here with the winter blues, that's for sure.

Sandi, I'm glad to hear the dd's fiance came out of the surgery ok and still has his sight! I sure hope you all get some sunshine soon!! How exciting about your grandson!!! I was SO sure I was having a little girl..I had the full name picked out...went to have the ultrasound...and it was a boy!! I actually CRIED!!! Of course my mom knew just what to do...take me shopping for boys clothes and things. I of course got over the "shock" very quickly and loved my little man!! (who is going to be 13 this June!!)

My dad was watching the bball game on TV last night when the bad weather came through!! It was all over our news because and AL team was playing then!!!

I sure hope you all in GA are OK!!!

I of course got over the "shock" very quickly and loved my little man!! (who is going to be 13 this June!!)

I had 2 teenaged daughters when DS was born 13 1/2 years ago. What an adjustment for all of us having a little boy. DD was 17 when little brother was born, so at least she knows a little about what to expect with a little boy. Look out for those teenaged years. I didn't think turning 13 would make such a difference, but along with the 'teen' came the attitude. He's been grounded from 'screen time' for the last several weeks due to grades.

I haven't figured out why the newspaper removed the link, but I'm looking for another one. Needless to say, it looks like a bomb went off in downtown Atlanta. Unfortunately, there is more severe weather here right now (north metro and I pray it's north of Angie).
