When I cook I just don't tell half the people that I am cooking low fat or low cal things! :lmao: They enjoy it all the same w/out knowing!!! :thumbsup2

Good morning all!

Should be a beautiful day in the ATL today ... high of around 60. I don't mind the cold if it's going to snow but other than that, I hate it! I'm ready for spring!!! So sorry for those of you that have to deal with the snow on a daily basis. I don't know how you do it.

I wasn't able to log on to the house party this weekend. Hope you all had fun. I was busy.

Good Morning!

Cold here...29 degrees right now and frost on the ground. But they did say it should be warming up here soon!!:cool1:

Happy Monday! Hope it's a good one! :thumbsup2

What a switch; it's supposed to be 60 here today, but with wind gusts up to 45 mph, rain, then turning cold with snow within a couple of days. We saw a beautiful sunrise this morning, but it's cloudy, now. Heather, those recipes sound really good. We don't do anything for super bowl. We're not sports fans at all (Go...insert team name here...!).

It's supposed to be 60 here today also. Although the rain is supposed to be back around midnight tonight.

Those recipes sound great. I don't know if we'll have a party or not. I've kind of been wanting Jason to cook out lately, but it's been too cold and I haven't said anything. So, we'll just have to wait and see.

It did warm here today too!! About 60!!

We are big football fans in my house. We had season tix to the tampa bay bucs (well, we still do but just aren't there to go). I've been wanting to have a cook out too!!! We'll see how the weather is this weekend!!

We are football fans too. I used to have New Orleans Saints season tix but gave them up when I moved. DH went to LSU so we're big LSU fans too. My dad went to school there so I grew up watching LSU & the Saints. I'll NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be a Falcons fan. DH can't believe that I can't be a Falcons fan now that I live here. I will be a Carolina or TB fan before the Falcons! I told him that if UGA & LSU were both in the SEC West, he wouldn't be a UGA fan. When all is said & done & the bowl games are set, we do tend to pull for whatever SEC team is playing as long as they are not playing LSU.

We're big football fans too, mainly college football though. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I do think y'all have a better coach in Saban than LSU has in Miles. We'll see what happens next year w/ LSU now that it is no longer Saban's team. They were definitely a lot more disciplined back then!

I know here in AL college foot ball is BIG TIME!!! I am not used to that!! I'm so used to getting reading for the big games on Sunday, not Saturdays. I never did follow college ball. But now I guess next season I should try to!!!

My dad's boss (well i guess i should say old boss..dad's on disability now)...his boss family is "divided" he is for AL and his wife is for Auburn (I still get the two confused...I know one has a elephant for mascot...and I think Auburn is the tigers??) They say its full on war in their house at times!! :lmao:

I don't know what we are going to do with our season tix next year. Not sure if we'll continue them or not. THis past year we sold them online. :confused3

Alabama has the Crimson Tide and Big Al the Elephant as their mascot. Auburn is the War Eagles and has a tiger as their mascot. I'm so lucky I married a 'Bama fan 'cause there is no way I could live in a divided household.

I'm very happy we have Saban. I think he'll be an awesome coach. He just needs a few seasons to whip that team into shape. I hate that we lost our offensive coordinator though. Major Applewhite was one of the best in the nation. At least we have a coaching staff that people actually want to play for, makes recruiting a little bit easier.

Rescuing us from page 2, again. I'm so glad that I married someone who's not into sports. We were fortunate enough to have a band geek son instead of a jock, I guess. I used to follow baseball (St. Louis Cardinals all the way), but I just can't get excited about it anymore. We used to go to 3 or 4 games a year, but haven't been in several years. DS's 7th grade field trip is an April game at Wrigley field; Cubs vs. ? whatever tickets are available. Whoever they're playing, it will be cold in the Windy City in April:cold:.

Heather, that recipe sounds easy and good. I'm having a little trouble visualizing it though. Is it like a dip or a main course? I have never used canned chicken and wonder how you could substitute fresh chicken breasts instead. I guess you would probably pre-cook it and then cut into cubes?

Sooner or later my sister will learn to trust the info I get from the Disboards! She was unable to get tix to the HM/Miley concert in Orlando when they went on sale. I told her that I was reading that in every city tix would become available through TicketMaster a few days before the concert & that people were reporting getting floor seats the day of the concert. We know someone that did that here. She didn't trust me & bought tix through stubhub for tonight's show. :sad2: She did tell one of her friends about it. Her friend scored floor seats yesterday afternoon for last night's show. She said today that she should have trusted me!

It's amazing how those things are selling. The concert isn't coming here, but the 3D movie is and I think most tickets are sold out for it. One radio station here is auctioning off (2) 10 packs of tickets for charity. It started yesterday I think for 10 bucks and is already up to $145 and doesn't end till Friday.

We were lucky enough to get tickets through Ticketmaster for the concert here in GA. Now my kids wants to go to the 3D movie. I agreed to take them & each can invite a friend. The tickets are $15 a piece for this movie!!! :scared1: By the time we decided to purchase tickets all of the weekend dates/times are sold out at our theater. We'll go to a weekday show ... hopefully it won't be as crowded.

If the bidding is only at $145 for 10 tickets then that's not even face value yet.

I'm watching the auction to see how much it goes for. The closer it gets the higher it's going to go I bet.

THANKS FOR THE INFO...MAYBE NOW I'LL BE ABLE TO GET IT RIGHT!!!

WELL...I'VE NEVER TRIED IT BEFORE...I'M GOING TO USE IT AS MORE OF A SNACK TYPE FOOD. WE AREN'T REALLY GOING TO COOK ANY MEALS FOR DINNER...JUST SNACK ITEMS ..SIS WILL BRING FRIED SHRIMP ONION RINGS AND MAYBE SOME WINGS FOR DAD...I'LL COOK THE 2 THINGS ABOVE AND PIZZA ROLLS AND CHEESE STICKS. THAT WAY THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE...WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT TASTES.

ABOUT THE CHICKEN...I USUALLY USE THE CAN CHICKEN FOR CHICKEN SALAD..AND HAVE USED IT TO MAKE CHICKEN TETRAZZINI (SP??) AND IT WORKS REALLY GOOD. iF YOU COOKED UP A CHICKEN BREAST AND DICED IT UP PRETTY SMALL (ALMOST LIKE SHREDDING IT) OR USE A MIXER THAT SHOULD WORK.

Trust me, once you've lived in Alabama long enough, you'll know the difference. The Saturday of the Iron Bowl might as well be a holiday to me, it's that important.

You also live near a piece of Alabama history. Legion Field was where 'Bama played for a long time. Plus, Paul "Bear" Bryant is buried in Elmwood in B'ham. Saturday was actually the 25th anniversary of his death.

Hi, I'm Emily and I have a football problem.:rotfl2:
