Hi all, been lurking for years, first post.

Planning a trip in May of next year. I am wondering about the crowd levels mid May. I understand it will be higher with schools letting out, but how bad can it be? Is there anyone here with less than 5 trips under their belt that can tell a difference between a 6 or 8 crowd calendar day? I don't hold much confidence in those besides the fact that it will be crowded or even more crowded.

Also for reference, I survived Dec. 26th to Jan 3, 2016 at disney. With 4 kids. Complete and total Madness!! We were told by a CM that Epcot on new year's eve had 75,000 people in it. But in all honesty, I'm glad I did, because anything less should be a cake walk.

But I digress, am I crazy for going in mid may?

I've been in May. I thought the crowds were pretty manageable. For reference: The craziest time I've gone was Thanksgiving week and the crowds didn't bother me then.

Honestly, I don't pay attention to crowd calendars as Disney is always busy.

Also, welcome to the Disboards! :welcome:

May is decent, the one thing I will say is that could be around when Toy Story Land is open here and that could make attendance go up around the park just like Avatar did last year.

Thanks, I figured as much. I love Disney. I even traded an Alaskan trip for it. I figure my kids youth will be gone quicker than the wilds of Alaska. So I opted for another disney trip. Plus, Avatar!!
