Starting my countdown for when we can book our trip for BLT May 25, 2014. It'll be our first time going HOME. Anyone else visiting next May? We're hoping the new mine cart will be open and haven't been since October so we're excited to see the new Fantasyland!!

We are!

We're planning on being there May 8th through 18th -- and staying on-site for the first time!!!

Waiting for the 2014 prices & packages to come out this summer! :cool1:

Add another may 2014 trip here!! We were supposed to go may 2013 but it didnt pan out as planned. First time trip for the whole family! A year from now we will all be in DISNEY EEE!!!

We are planning the April 28th- May 5th! I'm anxious to book too!

20 days and counting until we book! I know it's far off, but how many of you have started looking into ADRs? Any favorites? We try to go someplace different every time. Debating on rather we should do BOG as CS or TS. What are your thoughts?

We are going to Orlando in May 2014, but we aren't sure which parks we will be going to.

Also planning to book for May 2014! Yay! Our last trip was May 2011 and it was ideal weather (rained 1 hour on our first day while we were landing and that was it!) with managable crowds.

I'm so undecided on the dates because I want to fit in a Star Wars weekend, but want to avoid memorial day weekend which looks like it falls during the same time. I'd like to go as early in May as possible to avoid increasing heat and crowds as schools get out.

Any speculation on whether the first weekend will be May 17th or May 24th? Because of the way the dates fall (Is May 31/June 1st the last weekend of May, or the first weekend of June for SWW?) its hard to predict the dates. When do they officially get announced because i'm thinking I will need to book before then for sure! Decisions decisions!! At this point I'm thinking may 28th - June might guarantee two very happy little boys! :yay:

We are going to disney for the first time ever in may 2014. When are all of you going to start booking? I know that right now 2014 package rates arent even out yet. So my newbie question is do you guys wait for the new prices to come out? Or book room only and then convert later to the package? TIA!

We are going on our first WDW visit in May 2014! Hoping to book May 1 - 22nd :dance3:

First trip ever? Congrats! My first trip to WDW was our honeymoon & I've been hooked ever since! You're going to have a blast!! We book with DVC so we start booking 11 months for our hotel and book our food at the 180 day window. Will you be staying on site? How many will be in your group? If you want to spread out you could always look into renting DVC points. I've never done that but there's a lot of people on here that could tell you how if you're interested. We've also stayed at one of the value hotels once (All Star Music) for a quick weekend trip and it was nice. That's the thing with disney-wherever you stay, it's going to be nice! There's no such thing as a bad hotel IMO. :)

I looked into renting dvc but since its our first time id really rather have whole control of our ressies and bookings. Its 6 of us 3 adults a 9yr old 5yr old and 2yr old. We are DEFINITELY staying onsite! So excited, plus its a surprise trip for the kids 3years in the making lol. I have my heart set on AoA in a nemo suite and am hoping that booking in late Aug wont be too late. My sister is in college and I need to be sure that she will be done for the year before we head out. If for some reason i cant get into AoA in a nemo suite then ill try for a POR room with a murphy bed and then a couple rooms at an all stars as a last choice. Id rather have everyone together since connecting rooms arent gauranteed. Do you think Aug is too late for booking? I know the Nemo suites are very popular. :-)

I'd watch for free dining if your going to put it off a little bit. We aren't ever able to do it cause of DVC but I know if your lucky enough to get it--do! :) I've heard such great things about AoA & that it does sell out quickly. POR has some rooms remodeled that are orate themed if you end up there-I think that'd be really cute for a little boy!

Your kids will love this surprise! Be sure to check out the free things at Disney thread. There's a lot of things for kids of all ages! i.e. campfire with chip n dale at fort wilderness-yes it's FREE!!

I had thought about free dining but when i looked historically its not given in may. Did i overlook something? Cause that would be awesome!

We go every May too, but next year it will be with Make A Wish, my son chose his favorite place as his wish.

I guess I'm an optimist. We aren't ever able to do the FD since we book through DVC but I was thinking they offered it in the summer & fall. Maybe it doesn't start until June?

I have seen FD for the fall months. The May discount is usually a room discount. Up to 30% off was the promotion this year
