May 2014 - Saving Up & Banking on a Discount!

Hi,

We're planning a mid-May 2014 stay at Contemporary Resort. While we will book our room as soon as packages become available, we really want the 30% off Deluxe deal, and I know we can adjust our package as deals are released. Has anyone ever NOT gotten this deal for a May stay? Typically, when you book as soon as packages are available, are they at rack rate, or are all deals such as 30% off offered right away?
Last year we stayed late April (2-3 weeks earlier than we plan on staying next year), and got a deal, although it was at POR.
Also, I can't recall - is the 30% off also on park tickets when you purchase as a package? We are not doing the meal plan this time.

I would venture to guess that there will be some sort of discount for May, but nothing will come out right away. Unless it is a deal for a package (like stay/play/dine, free dining, etc), the discount will apply to the room portion only. Also, nobody knows what the discount will be (should there be one), but lately the CR has only been offered at 20% (instead of 30-35% that's offered for some of the others).
