So much to say here! I got way behind during the move and you were an updating fiend! It was very nice to see you and Jo that day, I just wish we had set up some time to get together and really hang out together. I can't believe those awful people to make comments about you right in front of you. I mean to do it at all is not nice, but even worse when you have to listen to it. I didn't realize you had been that sick over the Winter. Thank goodness you pulled through and I hope that the Disney snacks helped you put on some weight. Lord knows they helped me! I'm glad you liked BoG. I thought the lunch was OK, but I think I'd rather choose dinner. Your trip to the Bass Pro Shop sounds interesting. I don't like hunting, but we do enjoy our guns for target shooting. Maybe once we move we'll get back to the range again, it's rather fun as long as you're not trying to kill anything! Your shirt looks good on you. We got that same umbrella and the name tags too! I hope I'm not spoiling too much for our trip!

glad your move seems to be going ok. I use to do target shooting also in a range and really enjoyed that! Looking forward to reading your TR also. Lol re snacks yes they did help thanks!

thanks I know right! I said I wish they made it so it made a light saber swish noise but Jo rightly said no the batteries would make it very heavy to carry. Too true! It's nice and light

Star Wars Friday continued..

After a quick FP+ on Star Tours and another visit to the planet Hoth can you believe ( I love Hoth but I always get this sequence lol ) we headed out to find the handicap area to wait for the Star Wars parade Legends of the Force.

I was very anxious to get a good spot because being in a scooter you aren't very tall! You don't want a basketball player standing in front of you! I also read on the resourceful Star Wars weekends thread that it wasn't very shaded but lucky for me Jo had got me a stroller parasol and attached it to my scooter! The reason for a stroller one is it is full UV proof. My medication makes me sensitive to the sun.

We got to the handicap area which was either side of the road leading up to the stage by the hat. Jo noticed right away that the left hand side was quite shaded so she crossed the road. I followed on Jessie. All the wheelchair space was at the front with room for one person behind each disabled guest. We were delighted with our space!

We waited and chatted with our new neighbours who on my left were super nice. However on my right oh my they would go on to really upset me greatly. The CM were great and friendly and getting us excited. However a teenager approached our area in a wheelchair. She was with her dear Mom. The folks to my right had one wheelchair space for the grandpa at the front which is allowed and also another space for their able bodied son who was sat on the floor. CM said he could stay there unless a person in a wheelchair shows then he has to move. But he would not move for the poor girl in the wheelchair! The Father flatly refused saying he got here early...why should his son move...the CM pleaded with him but he got very aggressive. I tried to talk to him explaining life was not easy being in a chair and that his son could stand and see but he then gave me and Jo abuse! Sadly the CM let him get away with it and the poor girl and Mom were behind us unable to see a thing :-( I was very upset. I did consider giving up my space but Jo said no. He should move.

Anyway..the parade started. It was great! Here are some of the photos..

The parade was great! We finished up. Went for lunch at the ABC commissary. Love it there! We were hungry! Quick service is a bit limited we find at DHS for my diet but we found this place and loved it Jo had a cheese burger which she said was very good and I had a turkey sandwich.

We had a DAS return time for TSMM which we scored after lunch. We had a FP+ later for the Ray Parks show ( he played the very cool Darth Mall ) so we were looking forward to that.

Next up Ray Parks and dinner at HW & V with Jedi Mickey and friends

The parade photos look great. It is strange, I have read a few reports now that people keep getting the same sequence on Startours.

So sorry I've been gone, my grandpa died Monday at hospice of brain cancer. I'm trying to get my mind off of funeral tomorrow, so I've been getting updated!

Sounds like a great trip thus far except for the meanies with ignorant comments & the meanie not sharing the wheelchair spot. Things like that make me so upset

Love your trip to Bass Pro! We have a Gander Mountain, Bass Pro & Cabellas all within 20 mins of my house. My DH is really into to target & range shooting, but does not hunt. He's all about the competition. Did you get lost in the crowd in your new camo shirt ?

It sounds like you got your fill of yummy sugar cereals......

too true! Jo said the way they interacted with the poor grandpa in the wheelchair ( treated him badly ) it was clear he was just there as a parade view ticket. I know re Star Tours lol. The story ends well I would go on to score another sequence later in vacation!

Star Wars continued...The dark side of the afternoon... Feeling a hit hungry we spied that large prehistoric presence by Echo lake. So we had a soft serve ice cream at the Dinosaur Gertie's Ice cream of extinction. I wondered who this dear Gertie the Dinosaur was and a quick research I discovered she one of the first famous cartoon stars dating back to 1914! Well her ice cream hut serves very nice ice cream! I hope it never becomes extinct! We had a FP+ for TSMM so we enjoyed this for the second time today. I am not very good at this but I love it anyway. We lined up for the disabled car with a button as I can't do the pull cord. It still doesn't pull me higher than a Beaver! Jo is great! She got best in car again! Go Jo! Then we rested by Sunset Boulevard in the shade with a drink and waiting for our FP+ for the Ray Parks show A Visit to the Maul. When our time came around we headed for the Premier theatre. The wheelchair spots were at the back with a great view of the stage. No photographs allowed sorry! We really enjoyed this show. He was funny guy! He is English also and with the host James Arnold Taylor they interacted very well. He showed us some cool stunts from Star Wars movies ( he plays Darth Maul in Phantom Menace ) and also his character as Snake eyes in GI Joe. He is trained in several forms of martial arts and explained how he got the part and the development of the famous sith lightsaber that has two light blades. Well worth seeing. Jo enjoyed it and she isn't a Star Wars maniac like myself. After the show we had a reservation at HW&V for Disney Star wars character meal! I was really looking forward to this. It's the first time they had introduced this so we were super keen to try it out! We had never tried this buffet restaurant before so it would be a first for us on two scores. We lined up and then proceeded to the free photo with Ewok Chip and Dale that was included in the price. This line took a long time. They may want to streamline that for next year! Once in we had our photo taken..

Now there is another story to this I did not find out on the night which I am not happy about. Jo did not want to ruin my evening so did not tell me but did several days later. She revealed that her chipmunk started tickling her which was fine. Then he/she did it harder and it started to hurt so Jo said for them to stop. Chipmunk did not but continued to do it harder and in an inappropriate location. Jo is not the sort of person to feel this she loves being touched and tickled so it must have been awful! She said all night she could feel the place where the chipmunk dug it's fingers. I wish she had said I would have really complained that was not right. Anyway we did enjoy HW&V it was great despite creepy Chip or Dale. Next up Star Wars food porn and characters..
