On the Alamo site, I put in my vacation dates (Sat., 5/12 thru Fri. 5/18) and got a base price for a compact of $227/week. For the heck of it, I put in the dates of Sat., 5/12 thru Sat., 5/19, and got a base price of $136 ($119/week; plus $17, Extra Time&Distance)!!

What's up with that? Why do you think the price for a week alone, is higher (quite a bit higher) than the price for a week and a day???

On another note, my Dollar rate dropped again today!! Total down to $192 midsize 5/10-5/20!

Checked mine this morning...got my 5/17-5/26 rental for a premium with Visa code and coupon down from $222 to $192. This started out around $300 when I started looking about six weeks ago
Will keep checking...my goal is around $150-160 but it is getting better!

The Visa code goes into the "contract" box and the coupon code is AD2359FDF and goes into the "coupon" box. The coupon is for $35 off.

I'm finding that the Alamo lower prices seem to be more towards late April into May. I need 2 different rentals. One for April 19-26 (6 seater) and one for April 26-May 12 (17 days) any size (full size likely). I certainly would not split if I didn't have to. But right now two rentals seem to be cheaper than one. I still have almost 6 weeks, so lots of times for some good deals to come up.

Just wanted to say thank you. I used the Visa coupon and got a Premium for May 10 - May 20th for $210 all inclusive.

I also have a Budget SUV, same dates, for $285 so I have to decide if the extra $75 is worth it. Hmmmm...decisions...decisions.

My rental is now down to $129.93 for eight days in mid-May, for a mid-size car. I have to say I'm happy with that rate. MUCH better than the rates we were seeing just a few weeks back.

That's a great price! You still have enough time to continue to watch! I got a total of $267 after taxes for 17 days! Full size. I just hope National starts dropping, as I prefer the aisle service. Funny how they are sister companies, yet the prices are so different!

I have been looking for a rental for June 2-9...They are still high, even with the codes...We are picking up in Lake Buena Vista and dropping off in Ft. Lauderdale. The one way charges are high.

The best rate I found (weeks ago thanks to this thread) was with Budget for our trip May 23-29 - with the codes given I reserved an SUV for $198. The only reason we chose the SUV is because it was the same price as the premium class car and only $10 than the standard size.

I only need 2 days and 1 hour for 5/26 tp 5/28 post fantasy cruise. I booked National at the ccc for $71 for 2 days 1 hour with a $15 bj's coupon ( min rental 3 days). I'll keep checking. All the rest of the coupons are for a free upgrade and we would rather have a compact at a cheaper rate. Picking up and returning to the CCC.. We don't want to rent a car at Port Canaveral, we prefer the bus for just the two of us.

What is the visa code again and is it just for Alamo? We are using the Disney Visa. I also have Costco now so do they give you a site to use with their code or just give you the code to use?

I just used the Costco member code & $30 off coupon to book a midsize (Alamo) from 5/18 to 5/31 for $204.28 total. Also includes an extra driver for free. Not bad for 12 days! The price just dropped about $14 today because I had booked last week at $218. I'll keep checking to see if it goes any lower!!

Just booked a Minivan for 12 days May14-25 for $371, all in. I haven't seen too many comments about minivan prices, is that good? Should I expect it to go lower? We booked through Dollar with our Air and that was $430, so this is definately better.

I used the Visa Code and the coupon AD2359FDF...BTW what is that coupon? It says I may need to show it??
