We are going May 14-25 (12 days) and I have a Mini Van for $312. The way things are going for April Rentals...it looks like they drop down a couple weeks before the dates...I am really hoping to be around $250 or less.

Woo Hoo!! Just booked a Mini Van for 12 days.......242.68!!!
I wonder how much lower it might go over the next week or two.

I used the Visa Code 7015504 and the Travelocity/American Airlines Code AD2359FDF. Oddly, it didn't make a price difference by putting in my insiders ID???

Disneyforus - I think it is because you used the Visa discount code. They only give one discount code + one coupon - not two discount codes + coupon.

I've been trying to find these rates & Ive been putting all these codes in and I cannot figure our how you are all coming up with these rates! Do you go through a certain website? We want to pick up at CCC, is that why Im getting higher prices? I'm looking at the end of May. I've never rented a car before so I have no idea what I'm doing & we need to 2 car seats so that alone is soooo much, I would love to find a good rate!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We only need a weekend rental picking up with National at the Car Car Center. With a Sat night stay, BJ's one free day, NF44Z5JDL and BJ's contract 5027379, we have a quote of $78.79 midsize for 2 days, 1 hour.
The FD online offer was for a 3 day rental, but it accepts it if I book 2 days, 1 hour.
I'll keep checking, but Alamo free day is with a 5 day rental, National's is with a 3 day rental. Our dates are May 26th to May 28th..

The CCC will possibly have higher rates. Bring your own car seats. If you need them in the car, you should use them on the plane.

Yeah I was pricing it out from MCO as well & it is about $40 more for CCC. We're using cares for the plane; we have 1 year old twins so DH & I are going to have our hands pretty full as is with our 2 guys, their stroller & all our luggage (adding 2 carseats is not an option). Taking ME to the resort & picking the car up at the CCC is definitely the way to go for us for this trip. Thank you for the response though.

We're staying at AKV so we really need a car. Next trip is BLT so we can walk to MK & wont have to deal with this

Could I please ask you to help me find the cheapest car for May 1-8? I am an older driver with all kinds of memberships, Amex card, Alamo, Budget, Emerald but can't find anything.

Please help me get a car super cheap.

I'm shocked and thrilled that the pattern held today and we are now at $79.29!

Hasn't dropped today but is holding at this price...I'm guessing that six weeks prior may be the magical lowest price point. Anyone else found that this time frame jives from prior experience?

I just checked Costco Travel for you..prices aren't too much better right now.
An Economy is $193 but you can upgrade to a midsize for $204. Do you have a Costco membership? If not, you can probably get a similar price using the Visa code listed earlier and the American Airlines coupon code for $35 off. I would list them for you but I'm on my iPad and don't have them right next to me. Both are listed in the previous posts. I would keep checking daily using those codes. Good luck!

Use national contract id 8572130 and coupon ND3166ZDQ. The coupon is off the national website and the contract is a KLM flying blue partners code. it is free to joinKLM flying blue partners. You should be able to get a compact for about $175. The higher the priced car, the larger the $ amt of the coupon
($25 off a week) they will take. Best deal is the compact not the economy. Your price will include most extra insurance for free. Free is good!

Just an FYI...you can't change or cancel the ressie thru the website, you have to call. Make sure it's the one you want before you book.

Me too!! All the coupon codes and possibilities exhaust me!

We're paying 226.00 for a full size 10 day rental with Budget. I booked it off Expedia.ca. I am Canadian so I won't have any troubles there. It's the cheapest I could find anywhere and we're splitting it with my inlaws so really it's only costing us half of that and half of the extra driver fee.
I'd love to get a van to fit us all, but it's not happening as far as I can tell.
We'll use the car for the first 4 days of the trip and then when the inlaws get to Florida they'll use it mostly. Dh doesn't like to drive on vacation anyway so we're using it for the Universal part of our trip and then my inlaws can use it to meet us at the parks or the hotel in the mornings (we're staying at different resorts).

If you're at least 25 years of age and a member of the Auto Club, you can rent a full-size car (Chevy Malibu or similar) for a total of $250.74 for 7 days from the Hertz location at the Orlando Airport Marriott.

Renting the same car from Hertz at the airport will come out to $304.56, a savings of $49.82.

That week is higher than the rest of May for some reason. I have been looking for a friend that week. My 10 day rental for later in the month is much cheaper than her 7 day rental for that week.

I have a full size for 10 days (May 10 - May 20) for $141 from Alamo with a free add'l driver. So, the Hertz car would greatly increase the price for me.

Our full size for 10 days is also over the first week of May. It's $225 which isn't too bad, but it's still higher than the rest of you are finding.

I wonder if that first week of May is higher because of the cheerleading/dance worlds at Disney that week
