May 2012 Can't Decide

DH's Aunt is swapping her RCI points for us to get a 2 bedroom villa.

Our choices are Saratoga Springs May 27 - June 3 or WLV May 12-19. Our favorite ride is BTMRR which is supposed to reopen May 28. What would you do????? We have to decide today.

That's a tough call....both resorts are very pretty and both have many great qualities about them. Even though we haven't stayed at either....yet, we have stayed at WL twice and loved both times. The boat to MK is great plus even though you are in the Magic Kingdom area, you would never know it because they make you feel like you are secluded. We are DVC members and have just purchased interest into SSR and will be staying there for the first time in January. It is a huge resort but it is very pretty and the boat ride to DTD is going to be a plus (we have stayed at both PO resorts and have taken the boat to DTD many times). With all that said and done, I would have to choose WLV only because it is smaller, it is a gorgeous resort, and it is a boat ride away to the MK. Have a great trip .

We've never stayed in a villa, but we have stayed at WL twice and we love it . We love being just a boat ride away from MK and the lodge is just so beautiful with a great pool, good CS option, and an awesome signature restaurant. If it were me, I'd go with VWL .

As much as I love SSR, WL is great for it's location.
Will you have a car? I don't mind SSR when I have a car and we drive to the parks.

Hmmmm....tough call! Honestly, I have been to WDW during both of the times you are debating between. Even though your favorite ride won't be open at the beginning of May, that is our favorite time to go because the crowds are basically non-existant and you can basically walk on any ride. I have never stayed in a villa before but I'm sure both of them are wonderful (WDW wouldn't have it any other way). I would lean towards WLV if it was me but just because WL is my favorite DIS resort

I would go mid May the crowds should be lighter and I prefer WLV
