Count us in for May 2011 as well. We (me and the pseudo-hubby) are planning on being at WDW from May 17th - 25th. It will be our first time to WDW and we are so excited. We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary together!

We changed our initial plans from late April to mid-May because of Star Tours II opening on May 17th - my guy is a HUGE Star Wars fan and I would have been so sad to have missed it by a few days. I also understand that Easter falls in late April, which means we will be missing out on those crowds.

If there are any childless couples visiting during the times we're going to be there, please let me know - would be awesome to catch up and maybe share a ride, drink, show or something together.

We are hoping to go around May 15-22 but have a lot of things to figure out in order to pull it off. If we manage to figure everything out it would be the first vacation where the whole immediate family (6 of us) has been able to all go together.

We too would need a decent room discount of some type considering that we would need two rooms or a suite.

We're in. We made our ressies for our first onsite stay at the CBR. We're so excited. We'll be there from May 8 thru 17.

First off, welcome to the Disboards!

Pin codes are distributed randomly. A lot of people say they make up different email addresses, take surveys, price out trips, save offers, etc. and have gotten pin codes. I've done it all and still haven't gotten a darn thing after 15 trips to Disney.

I'd suggest that you keep watch on the Special Offers page on the Disney site. If there's something out there, you'll find it there.

This will be the first my husband and I will visit without our daughter since 1992. Planning on staying at YC and enjoying the deluxe dinning plan. We have not been to the YC since our daughter was five. Planning on May 15 - 25 along with an extra day to visit Sea World. This vacation cannot come soon enough.

We are planning on going mid-May next year as well. We usually go during March/Spring Break when the crowds are high, so we're looking forward to lower crowds-hopefully!

I am also excited about planning my May 2011 trip with my fiancee! Are the crowd levels low, high, medium during this time? We went in Jan 2010 and the crowd levels were great but it was soooooo COLD! We are hoping for much warmer weather in May!

I am also hoping for some discounts - my advice is to book and then have them apply discounts later when they come out (by what I have researched - alot of discounts for this time are released in late March or early April for the May time frame - even if you book earlier you can still have them applied!)

Star Tours II opening on May 17th

So glad I stumbled on this!!! We were thinking of going 5/12-5/17.....now I know we need to push it a day!

I am hoping DH and I can also go in mid-May (probably the same dates as you, starwarsdisney!) to catch the end of F&G as well as the opening of the new Star Tours. We've never been in May before - have always done June. Looking forward to a little less heat but still able to swim, a few less kids and tour groups, and more 'adult time'.

To reserve now and then apply a discount or pin that comes out later - do you reserve direct through Disney or do you need to use a travel agent? Do you need to only book the room now or can you book the whole package (room, tickets, dining plan of choice) and still apply discounts later?

In case the Mouse is listening: I've never seen a PIN but would sure like to!!

It's not a "Tour". It's the Star Wars ride at HS. It's closing this month and the new version is scheduled to open May 17 2011, just in time for the 2011 Star Wars Weekends.

Colbyky, we went May 15-25. Crowd levels were low until the last 3 days. Star wars weekend was extremely crowded at DHS and Epcot. I think some schools get out around May 20th. Next year were going May 9-19. My kids love star wars, but the crowds makes it not worth it for us.

I am hearing that discounts are typical for the past few years in May - most likely a 25% discount for deluxe hotels and less for moderate or value. May even have 30% for deluxe and less for value and moderate. I am really hoping for some discounts on the resorts as the prices can get very high! Good to hear that crowd levels are good!!

Here is to hoping for some good rates and a nice discount to make it easier on all of our wallets!

This year it was 40% deluxe, 45% deluxe villas and 30% moderates. Not sure about values. I'm not expecting discounts to be as deep next year. I would be happy with 20 or 30% off my room at the Boardwalk.

I was able to use the 30% public offer to book our last week of May/first week of June trip this year. I'd love to have that offer again!

Thanks for this info! I think I will now need to work hard to knock off days at the end of our trip vs. the beginning, once we know pricing/budget.
