Why is it a longshot. They have been offering discounts every month for the last few years. They usually don't come out with spring discounts until at least January. I just don't understand why people are so down about discounts not being released in August when they never have been in the past. I know they released Fd for August and Sept next year, but I heard that is because they are not offering bounceback offers for people that are going this august and september like they normallly do. As far and free dining on memorial day who knows maybe its just a test to see how people respond to it. As far as I know this is the first time they have offered FD in January and February. I am sure there will be discounts.

i have never ever ever gotten a pin code..so that is a long shot for me.... i don't want free dining..so i am going to wish positive thoughts and hope for a room discount.

We're hoping for discounts for our honeymoon May 19-26. We haven't booked yet, and I've been hoping for a nice discount so we can upgrade from Pop to POFQ/POR. Last May year we went May 9-15 and had the gift card offer, which was awesome since it gave us the freedom to buy things we wouldn't normally with 'free' money. This year, I'm hoping for FD or some nice discounts.

Man, no new discounts for our dates, May 15-20th, I'm wanting to stay at BLT with 4 adults and 3 kids, SOOOOO hoping for a discount!!! I guess I'll go ahead and book, and hope for the best??? I don't know. I don't want free dining, so a % off would be VERY nice!!!

^ I'm anxious to book as well because nothing is better than that 'I just booked a trop to Disnwy World!' feeling. I'm trying to hold out until oct/nov- basically just in time for the 180 day ADR mark- to hopefully avoid a rebooking fee.

I've rever rebooked before, how does that work? Do you always get charged a free? I'm using a travel agent since we're linking our families reservation to ours for the wedding and I didn't want to have to keep track of everyone's reservations, transfers to and from the airport/port/resort, cruise excursions, park tickets, etc. I know up upgraded from QSDP to DP less than a month before out last trip, but since out reservation didn't change we weren't charged anything. Any info would be appreciated!

From my understanding you can change your reservations how every much you want until 45 days out with NO fee. At 45 days you start getting a fee charged.

Me too! I really want to book our rooms! As of right now, with no discounts available for our dates, we're planning on room-only ressies @ POP, buying tickets from UCT, & no DDP.

But if Free Dining or another good package discount is released for our dates, I will change it to a package.

I think I am going to make ADRs for one TS per night of our trip at the 180-day mark, even if I don't have DDP booked at that point. We wouldn't eat TS every day if we're paying OOP, but that way if we do decide to add DDP I'll already have the ADRs I want. If we don't end up adding DDP I can just cancel some of the ADRs.

Come on Disney, I hate waiting!

We are already booked for May 27- June 2nd with Free Dining. Since I am an AP holder and DH will already have a ticket as well (spare from this year's Free Dining trip) I am really hoping for a room only offer or AP discount. Since it's just the two of us a room only offer almost always makes more sense. We are not huge fans of the dining plan and we could definitely drop it if it will net us a better room only deal.

I am waiting so impatiently for a discount for May. I need something earlier than the free dining offer at the end of the month. We want to go celebrate some birthdays mid-month! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, hoping for an offer soon, ready to book!!!!

I just had to take the free dining, we had planned and booked for early May, then they announced the dates for free dining. We switched our dates and got the free dining. Now we are just keeping an eye out for anthing else, but not expecting much at this point.

For May 10 they were released 1/1/10. In 2009 the buy 4 get 3 deal was released 11/6/08 but other deals were released in March. In the past it has often been Feb or March before May discounts were released.

Yes but you do have to call and ask for it they won't do it automatically and you might have to change resorts of room type to find availability at that discount. Having a reservation for a specific room type does not guarantee that they will offer you a discount on that room type.

We are already booked for May 5-15th at the Beach Club Villas (2 bedroom). I have family that are considering joining us for the trip and if a pin/discount was released it might be a convincing factor. Would love to hear if anyone knows of anything.

I'm very new to DIS so plz explain "pins" and how I find discounts for my honeymoon. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! I'm trying to save as much as I can for our honeymoon. We're also registered with the disney registry...but trying not to rely on that too much. Thanks everyone!!!!!

From what I understand there are no pins yet for our time frame in May yet. Keep watching in this post as well as this forum and you will see when the pin codes for next year are out. I have heard they are usually released between November and March?
