We may be making our first Disneyland trip this May. I know Disney World like the back of my hand, so not knowing nearly everything where I'm going is a strange experience. :confused3

I have one main concern at the moment. Considering Memorial Day is the 31st this year, are we relatively safe park hopping from the 25th-28th? I heard something about some of these nights possibly being Grad Nites, but I don't know...

Anyone else going in May? We've got a looong ways to go...:rolleyes1

Hi duckylady! I went to DLR this past May (Thursday and Friday before Memorial Day) and the crowds weren't terribly bad so you should be okay. Plus, you'll have 4 days at the parks so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy all the attractions.

You are correct in that one of the Grad Nites fall during your trip (on May 27th). I have never been there during Grad Nite so I am not sure if the parks will be closing early to accommodate the kids or if it will be open for everyone. Perhaps someone else can answer that question.

Still, that shouldn't be a big problem for you. Just make sure you have a game plan when you go and you should be fine. Have fun! ::goodvibes:

I am surprising my daughter with a Mom and Daughter trip in May. It is her birthday and my birthday is in June. We have never went as a girls only trip!! I keep telling her she is too old. She will be 14 in May and she keeps begging me to take her back as she loves DL!!! I can hardly wait till she opens her birthday card and sees a plane ticket in it!:yay:

I'm pretty sure Grad Nites only mean that the park closes an hour early - but I've never been, so it might do something to the crowds during the day or something?

Thanks very much for your help. :goodvibes

On a Grad Night day, the Park will close early. It will then re-open for the Grad Night guests only.

Grad Night students arrive in busses from their schools, must stay the entire evening, and depart on their busses.

Is the last week in May still considered off-season, even though it's so close to June?

Regardless, thanks soooo much for the info. c: This is gonna help me a bunch.
