May 2008 - whos going..

Unless there's a change... (I didn't book yet... it should be done by the end of the week. Waiting on a confirmation on when my mom's stops working)

We're going to be there from April the 30th to May the 14th!!!

I can't wait! :woohoo:

:woohoo: Just booked MAY 10-17 !! :woohoo:

Coronado Springs Resort ~ Here we come!! :yay:

Now I just have to wait until November to make my ADR's. . . :hourglass

We're going May 27-June 4th. Not sure where we are staying at tho. It is supposed to be a BUDGET trip since DH and I had a trip to Hawaii sprung on us for Oct 2008. (It's my folks 40th and we're all going)

I found a great deal on airfare already. We are leaving from MCI and rates around here are right around $200 or more pp. I said if I found them for $160 I would book them. So I was messing around on the computer one day and went to Hotwire. Lo and behold it came up 139pp for a total of $695 for 5 of us. I was pretty leary going with them as we will have a 2 year old in tow and trying to make it easy on him. I usually like to know the schedule, seat #s, etc. But DH said add an extra day on each side so if flight times are good we are still getting our time in at the park and book it. He said no matter what we'll make it work. OK DONE!!!! I was thrilled with the results!!!! Midwest Air, nonstop, in the middle of the afternoon. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

So now I need to get my hotel reserved, but not sure where we are staying. We have stayed at POP 2x in the past, and I think I might like to try something different. Thought about the ASMovies .........but the thought of having to share busses seems like a nightmare. DH says if we could stay at about $100 a night we could move to a mod.......which I would love, but then Im not sure. Any advice or suggestions here would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Our DD will turn 15 while we are there also. So I am trying to plan something that she'll remember/like without breaking the bank. Again, suggestions welcome.

I'm so excited about going.......and feel like I'm off to a good start.

Congratulations on your trip! :cool1: Sounds like you got a good deal on the flight too! I just checked Hotwire and they have one flight for our dates at $169 RT from Pittsburgh. Last year I was able to get Airtran tickets about 4 months before our trip for $139 RT, so I think I am going to wait and keep checking.

As far as where to stay. . . I would say go for the Moderate if you can!! But I think they are about $145 a night unless you find an excellent discount! Last year in January Disney offered the "May your Way" package special that offered FREE park hoppers & water parks to your base tickets. So that was a huge savings!! I'm hoping to see that discount again! :wizard:

If you do go for a moderate, I highly recommend the Caribbean Beach Resort. :beach: It is so awesome and beautiful! And the rooms there are slightly larger than the other moderates. Which would be nice since you are traveling with a teenager.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Has anyone thought about where you are going to dine yet??? :mickeybar

Can you participate in this even if you have already bought your tickets? We bought tickets before the prices went up. Water parks would be great. My kids would love to go, but I cant justify the cost.
