Hello, fellow May WDW Venturers! My SO and I will be going down May 4th through May 18th. We'll be at our beloved AKL the 4th through the 11th; then we'll be heading over to the Poly (first time there AND with a MK view, to boot!) the 11th through the 18th. To say we are beside ourselves with anticipation and excitement is a drastic understatement!

We will be there DS(4) and I from May 15-20. We are staying at POP this is our first visit and our first vacation with just us 2. I am beside myself with excitement.

We are booked at POFQ from May 3rd-10th. It's the first time for my daughters (ages 2 and 3) and my inlaws!

I booked yesterday May 25-May 30th at WL. Only 286 more days....

Those are the exact dates we will be there too and probably at the same resort. I am up in the air still about it.

anyone been to disney during the week before memorial day weekend..?? anyone know how the crowds were.

We went last year May 5th to May 12th and the longest we waited for anything was a half hour crowds were light and we loved it!

this year we are going May 14th to May 21st..any thoughts???

I will be going to Disney to celebrate my 50th and a friends 60th. She has never been to Disney and the last for me was over 10 years ago. We will be going May 11-17 staying at POFQ. We will be with another couple who was there this past May. We can't wait and any ideas will be be greatly helpful. Thanks. Pam

right now we have reservations at the carribean resort - but after reading some pretty negative reviews, I'm thinking about switching to one of the value resorts. although I'm so indecisive and can't make up my mind - so I might just stay at the carribean (not all reviews have been bad).

We're going the first week of May - we don't have the exact dates yet. It's a mini-family reunion with about 9 of us going together. We're booking tomorrow (just waiting to hear from one last aunt...) but it looks like it might be at WL. I'm so excited because I've never been there and it was my first choice!!!

right now we have reservations at the carribean resort - but after reading some pretty negative reviews, I'm thinking about switching to one of the value resorts. although I'm so indecisive and can't make up my mind - so I might just stay at the carribean (not all reviews have been bad).

The CBR is our favoritest resort that is not a monorail deluxe (who doesn't love those?) and I will be there April 30-May 6 for a girls' week - and my BFF's first trip EVER. We're celebrating 20 years of friendship (since junior high... gah... has it been two decades already??)

I usually just shrug off the negative reviews because I have found there are about as many people who love love love the CBR as those who hate hate hate it. One thing that is true, though, is that it is very spread-out. We like it that way and sitting on the beach alone at dawn is worth it to me, but if you are the kind of traveler who depends on the proximity of your resort's food court (we don't - almost never eat there) then it can be a negative point if you don't request and get a room in a prime location. Also, the main pool at this resort is going to be under renovation so if your son is a swimming-pool-slide fanatic you might want to think about another resort... hope you don't though because the CBR is great!

We've done all four of the Values and all four of the Moderates, and CBR is still home.

We'll be there from May 3-May 17 in a FIFTEEN family member EXTRAVAGANZA (that would be WAY more dramatic if I knew how to spell extravaganza correctly)!!!! We're staying off-site in 2 rental houses. I can NOT wait!

We've stayed at the Carribean the first 2 times we went. Then we joined the DVC. We were def thinking of not joining since the CBR didn't have dvc rooms. We liked it so much there we still pool hop there every yr.

20 days. The longest I've had the privledge of going for was 2 weeks. Of course 5 days into the vacation I got the flu. The worst I've felt in a loooooong time! I think I need a 2 week do over!

We'll be going either May 10th - 20th or 17th - 27th and staying at OKW. Not sure how much more the flight will be if we go the 17th - 27th due to Memorial day on the 24th .
