May 2008 - Just not coming Fast enough

We are in the beginning stages of planning our 1st WDW vacation in May of 2008 and its just not coming fast enough... We are soooo looking forward too it and I have become addicited to this board - I just love it... I am currently working on a planning spreadsheet!!!

We are planing on staying at the GF after hours of agonizing over where to stay!!!! and I just CANT WAIT!!!

Our DD will be 4 when we go!!! Hubby has never been (and is hoping to get a chance to EAT some good food) I went to WDW as a child but never staying on site.... and its been a LONG TIME...

Janel - congrats on the trip - we're heading back to the world in May of 2008 too - dual graduation trips for me and my DH (one BS and one MS) - we're psyched!!

DH and I stayed at GF for our honeymoon - it's absolutely ideal - you will fall and love and if you ever return, it will be hard to find anything more beautiful (but please oh please try - there are so many great places to stay!!)

Your 4 year old will be so absolutely enchanted - maybe even your DH too!

We thought that May 2007 would never get here for our kids first trip. Now we are in the double digits.

We've already booked the cruise part of DD's graduation trip for May 2008. Now all we have to do is book the resort stay! Hope to stay at the Poly for a few days before we cruise.

So - when is the earliest that May 2008 resorts can be booked? Do we have to wait until Dec of 2007 when rates are released or is there some magical floating calendar that we can all look forward to marking for our reservations?

We called Disney last weekend and we can book our MAY resort now... but you cant book the package until this summer... Aug or Sept... so you dont have to wait until December... I CANT WAIT TO BOOK OUR TRIP!!! I may get excited and book the room in a few months.... I guess you have to pay for one night???

I am planning for May 17-24, 2008. This will be our second trip and I am so excited. Just have to start saving the money!! We will be staying at POR since there are five of us and I do not want to part with the money for a deluxe this trip (stayed at AKL last time, breathtaking!). Planning is half the fun my 2008 friends, so enjoy and we can all hope that the time passes quick!

We are going in July '08. Wish we could go more often but every 2 years seems to be what we can do ! Last July we drove down with the camper. This time, we want to plan far enough ahead so that we can stay in a cabin. We just did a big purchase, got 2 of the 5 parkhoppers out the way.

Congrats.......I remember planning our first family DWD vacation a couple years ago! IT was a GREAT experience for the whole family! Hope time passes quickly!

We are going in May of this year. I hear early May is still a good time to go. I've also heard around Mother's Day is a bit crazy........but still wonderful!
