May-2008 Goers!!!!

We are going from May 11th-18th, but staying off site this time at another resort. Had a comp week given to us at Mystic Dunes, so we booked that and are saving our DVC points to use on future trips! I hope I won't be disappointed on the resort, but it was free so what the heck ... plus we all have AP's so we will be in the parks alot anyway. We always drive to the park so it won't matter not being on site for transportation! Cannot wait ... having withdrawal already from the trip in December!

We'll be Disneying from May 29th thru June 4th.

I wish I could say I scored a deal, but I can't figure out how that's done at WDW...the "deals" are more expensive than my regular plans.

We'll be staying at Movies...hopefully in the Toy Story buildings. I have ADR at Restaurant Marrakesh for the 30th, Tusker House (an hour before the park opens!)on the 31st, and Chef Mickey's on the 1st.

Due to having to change our dates by 2 days, I need to call and cancel ressys we had for the 28th (50's Prime Time Cafe) and 29th (Crystal Palace) and switch them to the 2nd and 3rd.

Sadly, the switch is adding over $200 to our airfare...waa! What gives with that? Is is always cheaper to fly on Tuesday instead of Thursday? I have to say, I was able beat the travel agents price and save us about 10 hours of travel time. Why do Disney travel agents want to stick you with horrid flights? They wanted to send us west...to Salt Lake...then back to Orlando, with a total travel time of about 15 hours!!! I found a flight from Denver to Memphis to Orlando for the same price...and we get in to Orlando at noon, a travel savings of 12 hours!


Anyway, now for the real fun...making schedules and packing lists!

After missing my annual WDW trip last year, I am THRILLED to have book for May 19-24 at Pop Century...Got the tickets, dining plan, preferred room, and all the things I needed for $1800! What a great deal! My DS8 has a birthday on May 30th, so we will be celebrating just a little bit early! Look out, Disney, here we come!!!!

On New Year's Eve, I'd booked a trip for March, but the timing wasn't working out so I changed the ressies to 5-9 May, woohoo! We'll be staying at Pop. I'm not ready to put down $$$ on a resort room yet, seeing that this is going to be our first trip to WDW and I don't know how much time we'll be spending in the room. I put us on the DxDP and got all of our ADRs made (for every restaurant/date/time that I wanted, yay!). I opted for single-day passes to get on the plan, and the remaining days will be bought on base before we leave (dh is military and gets a discount on tickets).

I'm really excited about the trip. I've already decided which park what day, but I need to learn the whole strategy thing. We're not going to try to do everything (saving things for future trips), but I do want to aim for a few rides and shows and whatnot.

I'm going May 14-23. May 14 at CBR then 15-18 on a Disney cruise. Then May 18-23 at Pop! I just love that resort

I MIGHT be going in May. See, we just got back from WDW but our flight to Orlando got cancelled and they gave us vouchers for a free roundtrip. My dad called yesterday and he said he put in a request for the Animal Kingdom Villas! So we will see!

May 17th-24th at POR. I've got the room, airline tickets and ADR's. Haven't bought park tickets yet. We've been to Disney Land three times but this will be our first trip to the World.

We are taking our first trip to WDW April 26-May9. We are staying offsite the Sheraton Vistana Resort. We own a timeshare so we traded to stay here. We also used Miles for our plane tickets. We can't wait, we have been to Disneyland but never WDW.

Staying at AsMu 5/17-24!!! Just talked our friends into goign an dtaking their kids too! YAY!!! I am really excited! We were booked in a Fam Suite, but changed it to two connecting rooms to save $300! We've made all of our ADR's! WOOHOOO!

Just booked a surprise Mom/Daughter trip for Mother's Day weekend, 5/9-5/11. DD9 and I will arrive around noon on the 9th and leave midafternoon on the 11th.

We will be staying offsite- got a great deal on Hotwire for $32/night at an all suite hotel near DTD.

Doing the parks for 1 day (we have 1 leftover day on our 10 day MYW tix from 2005) and doing TL on Sunday. We will also get tickets for the P&P party Friday night, 5/9, as soon as they go on sale.
