May 2008 code watch

Can someone explain these codes to me please? I called today and asked if we had any codes attached to our name. I was told we had a couple, but none that would impact our already booked May visit. I assume the May code would be different? I tried to ask what they were, but the CM could not tell me. The CM was very nice and as helpful as possible, but why could she not tell me what the codes were for???? Codes or not we are still going in May, but I sure would like to know what these other codes are for. I'm starting to wish I didn't know about these codes.

Wow, a lot of anniversaries being celebrated in May! Congratulations to all!

We are planning on using up an old certificate for a 5 day cruise in May and then while we were already down there go to Disney! Just couldn't resist.

It's funny, we were using the cruise as an anniversary celebration (which is in March, but we can't make it then), but when I was planning on adding Disney to it I didn't think of that as an anniversary celebration until I read all your posts! Funny me, cruise is an anniversary celebration, but Disney isn't in the same trip!

Well......last night I said to my husband.....surprise.....I've made a decision ......we will just go on the cruise and stay at your parents winter house in Florida and make a few day trips to Disney and check out the properties.....(which I'd rather not do when you are paying so much for the park tickets! I'd like to check out quite a few of them!! You know do my own research!?!) ....we will save the money and put it into finishing the garage and a project on the house. A logical, practical thing to do right? Disney or house ? Plus go to Disney parks with the children next year, which we were planning. (remember this was a couldn't resist opportunity, because we are soo close. The Disney powers pulling us in!

......so then I read all these anniversaries this morning!!! You guys are sure making it hard for me to stick with my decision last night! ...well now my husband I suppose wouldn't be surprised if I changed my mind back today! Whatever makes his princess happy, right?

I am also looking for a code or discount for May. This time last year I booked our trip for May 07 and found a few good deals. I called DIsney last night and they aren't really offering anything right now.

I haven't been on these boards in a while and was wondering when the last time they offered a discount was and what kind of deal it was....

I thought I would come here and vent to my fellow May disers who are going through the same thing.
We leave at on April 30th-May 11th and I have nothing booked except for airfare.Its driving me nuts. I haven't figure out where we staying yet and was hoping for some type of AP rate or discount on rooms. I'm trying to save money because this yr where taking 2 big vacation tripsto disney and would like to save money.As of now where going to stay at a value resort.However the Best Western Lake buena vista in DD disney is calling my name.Its directly across the street from Down town disney plus the rooms are much nicer than the value resorts and cheaper by 25$(on hotwire) I know that we would be giving up EMH but we never go to the evening hours and once in a while go to the AM. I like the convience of staying on property.Letting ME deal with luggage and not have to deal with a car and driving. Can anyone see the madness thats going on in my head. Can Disney just come out with some type of code/discount so I can end all this madness and book a room!

Couldn't agree with you more, with no codes for my Poly visit I am considering the new code for the S/D during my time frame for a savings of $1300 over the Poly. It's not where I want to stay but other places lure you away with their specials.

Hi all,
Just starting to give a little thought to a May trip, it sounds like a great time to go. I got a pin # in the mail that had my address on the postcard, but a different name..it is for 3/30-5/22. Would they honor it even though it's not my name?

Also if I went & started my stay during this period 5/20 or 5/21 and went over the last day would they give me the discount for the entire stay or just for the days in the time period?

One last question, how crowded is Memorial Day wkend?

Try to stick out another week. They usually don't release the discounts until a month or 2 prior to the discount time. Last year we booked our May trip at the end of Feb. with a discounted room rate. (we booked it around the 23rd).

Otherwise you can book at full price and try to get a credit for the difference if a discount does come available for the resort you're staying at.

Anywho, my cut off is Feb 22 i will have seven paydays until my trip and i am gonna start throwing all of my money towards the trip. I am going to switch to the Dolphin for $1348 less than the Poly, if nothing happens before then.

That's what my wife and I are doing. We're already booked and have our plane tickets. If we get a credit for a code down the line great if not, oh well.

great idea! We had friends stay at the Dolphin and they loved it. Think of what you can do with the extra 1348$. If you don't have anything in mind you can donate it to my vacation fund
