A bbq and fireworks?

Camping or the cottage?

A trip out of the country, pehaps someplace special in Florida? :earsgirl:

Or are you going to chill out at home with a 2-4 or 2?

What are YOU up to this long weekend? :sunny:

We're undecided still.....We usually have a bbq and fireworks party with our friends on Sunday, but this weekend is my FIL's 75th birthday, and we've been invited to their place (Nobel, just north of Parry Sound), for a small family party. I'm not looking forward to the black flies up north!! :scared:

Kim :)

I'll probably be  ! my eyes out all weekend!

First this and now our Ontario Liberal Government!

Anyone elses butt feel sore!:scared:

I haven't been able to sit all day...my butt is killing me!!!

This 2-4 I'll be just hanging out locally, praying for good weather!

Too funny Janet!!:hyper:

The only big thing we have planned is going to see Shrek 2. My DS and DD watch Shrek at least once a week. She is always saying " I watch Shek".

Besides we can't afford to do anything else with our DVC payments starting soon and the dollar going down. I feel I should be buying my American money now but I keep hoping that the rumours of an 80 cent dollar are going to come true, then my second home will be that much cheaper.

Whatever you're doing , Have fun and stay safe!!!

I am doing a motorcycle training course with my DH and 2 friends. Never though at 38 that I would take up this hobby but I love it. Can it a mid-life crisis:tongue: But DH and I decided it was because the kids are getting older we have time to enjoy activities that we like.

Whatever your plans are this weekend everyone enjoy:wave:

That's very cool, Hockeychic!! ::yes:: I think you're still too young to be having a mid-life crisis though......(says the older chick...lol) ;)

LOL Janet!!! :teeth:

The decision has been made. We're off to visit the black flies this weekend.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and anyone else with AC flights, Janet! ::yes::

Very cool Hockeychic! I did a motorcycle training course, one weekend, many years ago in Mississauga. I found it very helpful and informative. I haven't driven or ridden on a motorcycle in years but I often say to DH (neither has he) that when he's retired, we should buy a Goldwing and go "touring". :hyper:

As far as plans for the May 24 weekend, DH probably has a bunch of golf games scheduled, the boys have some plans with their friends, so I will most likely spend some time working in my garden and getting my planters done.

Don't forget to pack the Deet, Kim!

I am taking my Reiki Level Two workshop on Fri and Sat [energy healing ~ my New Age freaky stuff]. If we can find a decent camp site Sat night, we might go camping Sat and Sun night ~ if not, I'm sure we will do something outside with the birds and the bees. S

Seeing that gas is too expensive to really go anywhere,I think we will just be staying around the house.Maybe plant some flowers.Hubby is working both Sunday and Monday(we need to get the money to pay the Fiberals:mad:  )

Havea nice weekend everyone!

This weekend ... not one thing that I absolutely have to do (other than that mound of laundry I've let build-up). DH is going golfing one day (he stands by my Dad's old theory that it "never rains on the golf course"
 ), and then he is going to learn how to install laminate flooring at Home Depot! Hoping for at least one warmer, dry evening where I can enjoy a bottle of wine on the patio.

Whereever you go, whatever you do, have a safe, magical long holiday weekend!

Mary Liz

We will be visiting with my brother and sister-in-law in Mississauga on Saturday, as her Mom just passed away on Tuesday and we wanted to be with them.:( She passed on my DS's birthday too so this has been really sad for all of us.

Sunday we will be having a few friends over for dinner and cards and then Monday DH has to work and I think I'll get started on planting my annuals.....I'm really behind this year.
;)

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!:sunny:

We'll have my parents and my IL's here for the weekend. Ds turns 3 next week so we'll celebrate this weekend - likely in the rain. (I keep reminding myself that the fields need it)

And if things don't go well for AC tomorrow, we'll be hoping our TA was right about automatically being put on another flight.

But, since we have company coming I better get my butt in gear with the house. It's amazing how quickly it can fall apart, ain't it? It was in "show" condition on Monday, now it's in panic conditon...

Have a good one everyone!

I am looking forward to some some rest on the weekend. I have been administering the EQAO all week with my grade 6'ers. It has been a long week! My best buddy is coming up for the weekend from Toronto. Our usual agenda includes eating, sipping strawberry daquri's and jsut having fun.

Have a good one everyone!

Whatever shall I do!!

Well... we are heading to the travel agent Saturday to confirm our ressie for WL and to figure out where we are going to stay the first week of our vacation in October.... that's the exciting part of my weekend!!

Supposed to rain all weekend here so we'll most likely take the boys to see Shrek 2... I guess with the rain gardening is out:(

We're probably going to see Shrek 2 as well! We were going to go to Ontario Place and take advantage of the free admission this weekend but I can't see going if it's going to rain! I hear Shrek 2 is really good! And of course, we have to cheer on Mike Myers, Scarborough's own!

We're also going to visit friends in Oakville on Sunday and my DS (almost 12) is going to teach their DS (5 years old) how to duel with Yu-Gi-Oh cards! My friend says she has tried to figure out the game but just doesn't get it, so she's bringing in an expert!

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and as so many other posters have mentioned, stay safe!

Why is that no one ever visits when the house is tidy, your hair looks good, you've got lots of nibbly bits in the fridge, the beer is cold....etc., etc.???? It's a conspiracy I tell ya'!! :p :D

I'm sorry to hear about your SIL's Mom, Sammi. :(

I'm way behind on my planting too...but don't tell anyone, okay? :flower3: The garden centres will be a zoo this weekend!

Julie the blonde biker babe....I can see it!!! :smooth:

Everyone, enjoy your movies, your beer, fru-fru drinks, fireworks, and new age freaky stuff....;)

:teeth:

Keep safe, and have fun!! ::yes::
