Hi everyone! Can't wait for our cruise! I have a question for you guys about the stop in Nassau. Is it possible to just find a public beach and hang out for awhile there? I will research it on my own, but figured I'd ask the veterans (this is our first time).
I would love to do the blue lagoon, but I think it would be too much for our three year-old.
Also, has anyone done the glass bottom bat our there? I figured that could be something fun to do with him...
Thx for any info!

Well I have only been there once before so not really an expert! I decided to get a day pass at the Hilton 50 adults/25 for kids with food voucher. This is very near port so we can walk there. If you do a search here or on cruise critic boards there are suggestions for people that have done the beach on their own (or google since the search feature here is horrible)
Can't wait for a beach day:)

Here is a link to beach optiond and other info:

Thanks for all of the info. Braysmommy!

Hey everyone, counting down the days 'till our cruise! My mother and I are going together, and we were wondering if we should make reservations at Palo. Since it's such a short trip and we won't overlap any restaurants in the rotation, we weren't sure if it's worth it to cut out a restaurant for Palo.

Anyone have any recommendations for us?

Thanks!

Welcome to our group PearlieQ!!! Was looking at the port of Miami a few minutes ago and it said it was 80 degrees!!! ahhhhhh Would be great to be leaving from there today~!!!

Sue

Thanks!

I agree, a beautiful 80 degree day in Miami sounds lovely, especially with the forecast for more snow tomorrow! Can we fast-forward?

Hi!

Well, the good news is that since it's a 4 night cruise, there will be an overlap in restaurants--you'll visit one of the three restaurants twice during the sailing. Unfortunately, you won't find out which one you'll be repeating and when until you check in at port and get your keycard showing your dining rotation.

With that being the situation, there are a couple of options:

1.) It's said that they hold back a certain number of dining spots at Palo to be booked on board. You could schedule yourself for an early port arrival time then check your dining rotation when you get there. Decide on when you might like to go to Palo and go right to the Dining Reservation area when they open (time and location will be listed in your Navigator). People have had pretty good luck getting tables this way.

2.) Schedule a "Palo Double-Dip". This is where you book yourself a meal at Palo at the farthest possible time away from your regular dining time. If you have early dining, make a 9pm Palo reservation, if you have late dining, do a 5pm Palo reservation, etc. Go to your regular main dining room seating and enjoy the company and the atmosphere but eat very, very lightly--maybe just share an appetizer and sample 1-2 bites of an entree that sounds too good to miss. Then go enjoy Palo!

Good luck with whatever you decide!

I am not sure if I am correct but won't the pirates night be the repeat restaurant? With the pirate menu? Everyone has the same food on pirates night.

That's what I thought I heard too. I thought I remembered someone from a cruise like ours reporting they had a TAAP rotation, so that would make sense since pirate night is the third night (Sat.)

So, if someone wanted to skip the pirate menu they could book Palo for Saturday and not have to worry about missing a rotation restaurant.

Incidentally, not sure if everyone has seen this, but a kind soul posted navigators from "our" cruise a little while back: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3048776&page=3

We just got back from the Dream and the last two nights we were in the same resturant, pirate night was on the third night. Not sure if this cruise would be the same.
