May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

Hey Zerog, sorry to be such a cruise newbie but how were you able to make your ressies today? Is there another level that gets to book even earlier than CC? :confused3

(this question submitted by a lowly member of the group who has to wait until 75 days out to make her ressies ;) )

LOL Pinkie.. Newbie questions are always welcome! :crowded: That's why we're here!!

Unfortunately, you completely missed the conversation (which you are in the middle) between posts #799 and #807 on page 54. :upsidedow

I don't mind repeating it. By booking the REAS (Romantic Escape at Sea) package, that allowed me to make reservations 105 days in advance. The drawback was I had to pay off the cruise in full - which wasn't so bad because I would still have to pay 90 days prior anyhow. Jewelmicky suggested a trick if one was so inclined: to book the REAS, make your reservations, and then cancel the REAS. I think we're going to go ahead and keep ours.

Ahhhh. You know, I think it would be hard to explain the REAS to them, given who my travelling party includes, :lmao: but it sounds lovely. What a wonderful package. Plus, great added bonus with the ressies. Of course, I'm using the fact that I have another month to give me extra time to plan. I don't think I'm ready to make my ressies today!

LOL.....me neither. I have had over a year to plan for all of this and yet, when the crunch comes...duh, can't make the choice. ::yes::

I booked my Palo and Spa treatments Sat. Palo Dinner on Monday 7pm, Palo Brunch on Thurs at 11am. Rasul on Thur at 2pm.

So far I am torn beween the Fury Catamaran and the Pirate Encounter and the Mayan Ruin Tour.

In Key West I think we will just wing it.....probably get trolley tickets.

Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed won't have to cancle the whole thing at 76 days out! :sad2:

Does anyone know at what time it is best to attend Pirate Night? I don't want to miss the fireworks, am thinking of booking our Palo for that night and not sure what time to try for.

Here is a link to a 2008 Navigator:

* Not sure if the length of that link will work here *

The Pirate Party is on the 5th Nite (Wednesday) and started at 9:45pm. The fireworks occur toward the end of the party.

I would like to suggest (to everyone) to familiarize yourself with the layout of the Navigators and how the activities are laid out. The one above is from November 2008; there will probably be updated versions coming out soon for 2009.

Another suggestion is to bring some highlighters. It is helpful to color those activities you might be interested in attending, for easy reference.

Good afternoon everyone

Last nite I made reservations for Palo brunch and dinner. My first choice was to reserve these on sea days and that's what I got. :thumbsup2

Palo Brunch: Day 3, 10:30am
Palo Dinner: Day 6, 6pm

Today I finally decided to do the REAS......So I emailed Tracy (DU) asked her to sign us up; got an email confirmation; then submitted the pay-off balance; got an email confirmation ....all within 30 minutes or so!!! DU is great and has definately earned a loyal (and soon to be repeat) customer!!

Logged onto DCL site and was able to make ressies as follows:

Palo Brunch: Day 3, 10:30 (see you there!!:wave2: )
Palo Dinner: Day 4, 7pm

Needless to say DW is thrilled..........(serious brownie points for me!!!) :beach:
She also got the Cabana Massage booking she wanted!

Great news Jeff and Jennifer. Are you two Jaguar fans like me? (I grew up on the other side of the SJR).

Absolutely!!

They better get it in gear next year!!

Do you live in the Space Coast area now?
(I have the impression you are in central FL).

Any experiences with the High Tea?

DW is interested in the experience.......:confused3

Feedback and/or pics would be great!

In advance.........:thanks:

Sorry, wish I could help. I did a search and it didn't come up, perhaps posting it on the main cruise board would get you some answers. :)

ooohhh...also, I have some news! Yesterday I finally broke down and bought an underwater camera! That way we can use it in the water of course but I can also have it on the beach and not have to worry about the sand etc.!!! I am so excited for it to hurry up and get here!

2nd bit of news! I was really lazy and also ordered a Fish Extender off of Ebay!!!! With so many other things going on I just decided it was worth saving the time etc. on having it made for us. The seller on there only has 3 or 4 pockets but I contacted her and she is making us a two pocket one:cool1: :cheer2: I'll post a pic when I get it!!

I/we are going over our options for an excursion in Grand Cayman. Ages ago I read a trip report of a bunch of ladies that did an excursion out of Crand Cayman privately and it sounded like a lot of fun and not a whole boat load of people, so have spent ages trying to find it and I did.

Here is a link to the report and there are some pics if you scroll down. I also have included the link to the website for the tours, many different ones to choose from. We are wondering if someone else may be interested in one of these tours, and sharing in the cost with us? Have a look and let me know, we are trying to decide something within this week.
