May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

Band Size Specifications

Large
(fits most adults) 7 3/8"

Medium
(fits most kids and teenagers) 5 7/8"

Child
(for children 4-6 years old)

I didn't know there were different sizes! That's great! I figured they only came in adult sizes. I guess in that case we'd need three child size and three adult size (now I have two back ups!).

There is a sizing chart that you can print out, cut out and try on for size.

I vote for the neon green, doesn't matter to me what the print colour for fill in is, white would be cool and you would be able to see it. Someone else mentioned black, that would be cool too! Yes..........I am the woman that will buy something in too many colours because I can't make up my mind.......so, I will go with the flow.

My vote would be for it to say Magical MAYniacs!

Hey MJ!!

Have you signed up for Fish Extender's and Bracelets?

Hey Laura,

No, I haven't signed up for either yet. I'm trying to convince the hubby (who is a bit shy about meeting new people:) )

On another note....I completely have the winter blues already and we've barely just begun winter! I don't know how I'm going to stand this weather until the cruise. December was a rough month for Michigan, so hopefully the rest of the winter won't be so bad. I need some SUNSHINE!!!!

Zerog-we haven't heard from you in a while....how's the weather there in sunny FL? I'm so jealous:)

That's ok, I'll live vicariously through you! We have a freezing rain advisory until tomorrow afternoon :sad2: .

That's ok....he can hide, it is hard meeting new people sometimes. Our meet won't take long and if he feels awkward, he can do whatever makes him happy. NO stressing out on your vacation! As for the FE, you don't need to meet anyone or talk to anyone even. It should be fun!

Just let us know at some point.

THE WEATHER HERE SUCKS TOO!!!!! If we didn't have this trip planned I would be at the end of my rope already! I need some sunshine too!

The time is going to go very fast now, we are busy doing a major renovation that has gone into full swing the past two days.....that is going to keep us very very busy which will make the time go by even more quickly! It is so exciting! (the cruise coming up I mean) :goodvibes

Hey Everyone...well Im sorry we havent been on in awhile but I do have some sad news....Because of the current economic state, we have had to cancel this trip :sad1: So not only do we not get to do the lovely cruise with everyone on here...we also have to find something else to do to celebrate our 10 year anniversary :sad2:

I am so very sorry to give this sad news, I was hoping to be able to go, but because the deadline for payment is arriving next month, there is no way that we can get up that much money so quickly.

I do have the FE list and will gladly post it for everyone so that whomever may wish to carry on the FE's can do so. I am so very sorry to have to leave this to someone else, but I have gotten you all started on it.

Here is the list and Laura if you want me to...I can PM the list to you as well if you would like me to. So I guess you guys can mark us off the list (as well as choco_latae and family) :guilty:

Cabin #2578 Laura001 2 Adult cruisers 0 kids
Linds79
DisneyDreamer8 2 Adult cruisers 1 kid (boy)
Cabin #7129 Jewelmickey 2 Adult cruisers 1 kid (girl) not girly

That is all that I had so far...sorry If I missed anyone that PMed me about being on the list.

Aww....sorry to hear that you won't be joining us, that is too bad. Thanks for the list, we will take it from here. Hopefully you find something else exciting to do for your Anniversary. Enjoy your other cruise that you are doing.

Hi Everyone!
Dh and I have just signed on to cruise with you all! We were originally on the May 23rd to Tortola, but dh's work schedule wouldn't allow for that one, so we switched to this one. Which works out great because I ended up getting one of my favorite staterooms...a reclassified cat 7! :cool1:
It will just be myself (Lisa) and my husband (Doug) cruising this time. Leaving the man-child at home (our 19...going on 30 son). :) This is our 7th Disney cruise I believe...mostly Western cruises because I love the ports! So if anyone has questions about excursions or ports, I would be happy to help.
We are celebrating our anniversary and getting the honeymoon we never got, so looking forward to this more than I can say...however, cringing at leaving a 19 year old in charge of the house and the dogs! :scared1: Thank goodness for great neighbors! LOL

Welcome! Welcome!! Wow...7 DCL cruises...lucky you! That is awsome too that you are celebrating your anniversary, there are quite a few of us doing that. Could you tell us what your favourite excursion has been on the Western?

As for leaving your 19 year old at home.....I am with ya on that one. We are leaving our 24 year old and our 17 year old home, with our 20 year old probably being home on the weekends. You think one kid can make a mess...LMBO....you should try 3!!!! It is funny cause the 17 year old is the one that will keep everything in one piece!

Thank you for the welcome!
My favorite excursions on the Western....Let's see:
Key West: We loved the White Knuckle speed boat, other than that we just get off the ship and walk the town and eat Key Lime pie on a stick at the Blonde Giraffe.
Grand Caymen: We did the Pirate Encounter, which is great for ages say 7-12, and we did the land and sea tour which was a great way to see the whole place the first time we were there, now we just get off the ship and hit the rum cake factory, the Harley shop and the Del Sol store! :goodvibes
Cozumel: My absolute favorite excursion of all time was the Dolphin swim!!! I loved this one! We have also done the Jeep Tour and that was a total hit. This time we plan on heading to Tulum.
Castaway Cay: I am still waiting for the day they don't cancel the parasailing so I can do this! :) I have been to CC 7 times already (one of our Magic cruises was a double dip)and never been able to parasail! :sad2:
So hope this helps. We have done a few other excursions if anyone wants reviews: The Fury Catamaran in Cozumel, The conch train in KW, The Pirate Soul Museum in KW, The Thriller Power Boat in GC...that's all I can remember right now.

Hey Laura
I had resigned to a 'lurking' position after the attitude issues arose a few months ago.

Hey!

Sorry, didn't mean to put you on the spot, actually I just copied and pasted, I really suck at this stuff, especially trying to keep track of the weeks, I have lost track again and missed this past weekend.....argh! I will remove it if you would like. Also.....would be great if you would hop back in!

Hi Laura
There is no problem whatsoever.... I'm glad to see that you picked up the ball and ran with it. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!

I disappeared from the boards for a while, too. I'm in school and everything suddenly got so busy that something had to be let go - and trip planning won that particular lottery.

It's nice to be back, though. I don't know how active I'll be, since I've got a lot on my plate the next few months, but I'll try to drop in every once in a while. :surfweb:

Bracelets sound good to me. :)

We sail in 16 weeks!

:surfweb: Ok everybody, it is time to WAKE UP!!! :surfweb:

Let me do the math: 16 weeks x 7 = 112 days till the cruise.

For Castaway Club members, Palo and excursion reservations open up 90 days prior to cruise date.
For everyone else, Palo and excursion reservations open up 75 days prior.

Once these doors are unlocked, there is going to be a mad scramble to make reservations and prime times will fill up fast (within a few hours).

So for Castaway Club members, we have about 3 weeks to decide when, where, and what we want to do.

Hey, Zerog, I have missed your math! :)

I need to ask one really stupid question: what's the Castaway Club? I'm assuming that you're a member, Zerog, since you've cruised before. Is it open only to previous cruisers?
