Well...........where is everyone? It has been very busy in my house, both of my girl's birthdays are in December, my car was hit, and I am trying desperately to get ready for Christmas! Anyone else???? Oh....and what week are we on for counting down?

I'm sorry your car was hit! Both my kids and my husband & I have had very bad colds. In fact, I had to bring my 9 month old to the emergency room for his shallow breathing. He is getting better, thank God. Now, if only the rest of us would recover!

We are having a crazy snow storm here in Portland and got 8 inches yesterday (normally three is a very big deal and only happens once every third year or so). We've had snow for about a week now, which is pretty much unheard of. I had to miss out on our tickets to the Nutcracker last Sunday and was rescheduled for tonight, which turned out to be even snowier than last week. So no Nutcracker for me twice! I am bummed because it would be the first time with the kids. Oh, well. There's always next year. Who else is in crazy weather land?

We are in crazy weather land also! Totally sucks! We have about a foot of snow with more on the way on Tuesday! I can't even remember the last time we had a white Christmas (quite some time), but we will be having one this year for sure!

I was out shopping today with my oldest (24) and I had her cracking up in the mall parking lot. It was freakin' cold and snow blowing everywhere, we were walking/running from the car to the mall entrance....with me saying, " I am on a cruise ship in the Western Caribbean with the sun beating on my face...oh, yes, it is warm." She was laughing at me.....I just kept saying it over and over

I think I am finally done my shopping and most of my wrapping, thank goodness, now onto a little baking and cleaning

Hello Everyone! It looks pretty quiet around here! I have put a deposit down for a Cat. 12 (hoping for an upgrade.) We will be happy to just be on the boat....and maybe even try to upgrade at the port.

We would like to join the FE group we will be ... 2 adults and one 6 y/o girl (who does not like anything pink or frilly.) It's a pirates life for her!

I am very excited and am busy looking for cheap airfare and planning for economical shore activities. DP was one of the unlucky ones hit by the Auto layoffs and has had one interview since October! My job at the Hospital will pay the bills....just. I have been putting away money into vacation fund since our last trip last Feb...so we have enough for this trip with the great CAT 12 deals but still have to mind our P and Q's...not something we are particularly good at!

My DD has been asking since Mid summer when we are going back....I gave her the choice of a week at WDW (POR) or 7 day on the Magic....she chose the cruise without any hesitation! So looks like MAGIC HERE WE COME!

Yes - June 2008 Disney Wonder - Double Dip. We took our DS7; DS3 stayed at home with Grandparents.

We did not book a specific cabin this time. We booked a Cat 12. We have never done an inside cabin, but decided to give it a try. We would rather spend the money on Spa, etc.

We did a Cat 6 last time but don't think we will be in the cabin very much this time.

We have done several Carnival Cruises which we discovered in June pales in the shadow of DCL. We no longer have any interest in doing any other cruise line.

I am just caught up with this thread, seems pretty long to be so quiet now.

Guess it's the holiday....will get busier as the cruise gets closer.

I see there is a meet set up for the 1st day, great idea.

On some other DIScruises, I see they have some kind of identifier...lanyard, bracelet, tshirt, etc...so the DISers can recongnize each other. Is there anything like that planned here? Anyone have any ideas?

The rubber/colored bracelets are probably the easiest and most economical.

Hey and welcome to the Magical Mayniacs!! Yes it is a little slow here but I am sure that things will pick up a little as time draws closer

We have talked about t-shirts and/or buttons or something but I do like the idea of the rubber bracelets. Simple but yet effective! I wonder where we can find some lime green rubber bracelets

How did everyone enjoy their little vacation??? We spent ours in Universal Florida which was nice but VERY crowded. We brought our shepherd puppy and he was a big hit...Well I am off to eat some dinner and then clean my house and put things away since we just got home a little bit ago. Hope all are having a great week...and continue that on thru the new year

I like those bands. I am actually working on updating our list(s) and we really should get a move on all of this stuff as it will all come very quickly.

Does someone want to order and keep track of a list for bracelets or whatever it is that we choose? Please pm me and let me know if you are interested? Whoever wants one could do a paypal payment or send the money to whoever orders them and then that person could ship them.
