We have a reervation at BCV's for the period May 19th - 28th for a 1BR. Unfortunately, with leading up to Memorial Day weekend, the DVC 25% room discount is not available. We do have an Annual Pass. What would you do? We booked a 1BR through Member Services on cash for the Friday / Saturday nights with the thought that we would continue to watch the discounts --- both DVC discounts and AP discounts. Do you think we may have any problems converting the DVC Member Services resie to an AP discount resie if it is offered? Any other suggestions? Thanks and Go Vols!

We're in the exact same situation. I ended up splitting up my stay between the BCV for the first three days, then moving to SSR for the last three. We were able to get the member discount at SSR and we love it there. I just didn't want to take the chance we couldn't get the BCV AP discount down the road because we would not pay the rack rate. At least we'll get a taste of the BCV...we already love SSR!
As long as you're willing to pay rack rate if other discounts don't come up or switch to another resort, you should be fine. I'm sure more experienced members will be able to point more out.
Hoping for a great trip...

A little off topic but when I called they charged me 28 points per night when our new DVC planner had it listed at 26! The CM advised me that they will be sending out new point charts. I didn't argue it but it sorta' upset me a little. Do you mind me asking what they charged you? (This was for a one bedroom.)

We are travelling the very same dates. I didn't realize that the DVC discount is not always offered. We are staying at VWL. I have to pay cash for Sat 5/26. Do you know if there is a DVC discount for 5/19? If so, I will pay cash for 5/19 and use pts for 5/26...

I am pretty sure that if you booked with the AP discount the reservations can not be linked so you may have to check out and then check back in. You might have to change rooms. When you use points and pay cash (with or with out the member discount) you can make the entire reservation through MS and have it linked so it is treated as one reservation. The DVC and Disney reservation system are seperate so you can not link a reservation.

We were charged 28 points per night (Sun-Thurs) for our May 1BR ressie at BCV.
