May 19th 2011, Three Day Dream Cruise

Tracy, sounds like our younger ones will get along, they are similar. But it just takes a little longer for her to warm up to new kids. 3 days is a short time, she wants to move to FL, so maybe she can find out what it is like living there :)

No worries there!! My DD11 wouldn't let her take long to warm up!! She would grab her arm and say "Come on, lets go!!!" She is 11 going on 40!!! We will be doing a B2B and I know she will be sad when her new friends leave and we stay!! She is NOT a loner!!

Hmmm What it is like living in Florida. Well all of us (well not DH) are born and raised Orlando Floridians and the best I can say is that we have ALOT of "Staycations". Everything that we like is here, Theme Parks of all kinds, cruises and the beaches!!! We hate the cold and LOVE the heat!! So if she could handle all of that (and the hurricanes that we get once every 10 yrs or so) she would LOVE it here!! Well at least until she is driving, then you have all of those DARN TOURIST that don't know where the heck they are going to deal with!!! :rotfl:

We will all have matching shirts, Mickey Ears with a Pirate Mickey on the side with our names and the cruise date. Two old fat adults, one overly healthy child and one skinny minnie (DD11). Both kids in braces!! My DD11's name is Fallon. So when you see us come up and say "Hi" (cause I have no clue what you guys will be wearing or look like) and then our kids can meet!!

Is anyone (does anyone) carry a little green Mickey on them? I was getting out our cruise/vacation stuff and found mine. But I'm not planning on carrying a purse if I can get away from it. So excited...I turn 29-ish on Friday, and I'm more excited about the cruise than that!
:banana::banana::banana:

I did make us some matching shirts...I'll post them when I get a chance!

ETA: Here is one of the shirts we'll be wearing! I made it with the Yudu!

I just LOVE your shirt!!!! We will have matching shirts too!!

Thanks for the info! Kids did not want the matching shirts, so no idea what we will be wearing either :) I will try to find my LGM and have that on me somehow. I always (well almost) wear a tan Wall Street Journal baseball cap (work there), maybe I should pin the LGM to that? :thumbsup2

Both my DW and I want to work at WDW when I retire and DD12 wants to go to College in FL (zoology). I want to get away from the snow! :)

We are getting to the port around noon and will keep my eye out for your Family.

Hi everyone

I have just updated the very first post in this thread to include the full FE list and details of the DIS meet for those who would like to attend

I hope all the details are correct but feel free to send me a PM if you would like me to change anything

Not long now folks :banana::banana:

Thanks!!:banana::worship:

DIS MEET

3pm on Thursday 19th May @ Currents

'Currents is an outdoor bar located on Deck 13, Forward, offering a commanding view and a sunny spot where guests can order a cool drink and enjoy it there or return to their deck chairs nearby. This breezy bar serves a wide assortment of refreshments

Perched high onboard one of the ships upper decks, Currents is a great lookout spot to see the glorious sea, to glimpse the shore and to relish a golden sunset - all with a refreshing drink in your hand'

Safe travels everyone

This sounds great. I am adding to our agenda and hope to be able to make it there too. It would be mom, dad, DS11, and DS6. See everyone soon.

OK, Call me dumb but what is LGM?? (Little Green Man???) Snow???? Never seen it!! (Honest!!) :rotfl:

Noon???? We hope to be eating by that time!!! :rotfl:

LGM is Lime Green Mickey. I think a lot of people get the mickey heads from the Home Depot paint department where they have the colors on them. They get the lime green color.

Lime Green Mickeys, That is the defacto symbol of Disboards :) You get them at Home Depot in the paint section. They are paint chips for the Disney colors, but are in the shape of a hidden mickey. Saw a lot of snow this year, but not as much as other places!

If you are on the ship at noon, then save us a spot at the bar at 3pm!

OHHHHHH NOW I understand!!! I got a mess load of those and made magnets for our door out of them!!! Do we wear these for other Dis'ers to know who we are??

Kevin ~ No worries, I'll save the WHOLE bar!!!! :rotfl:

We PLAN on leaving our house around 7:30am, drop the car off at the Park N Sail ($6.50 a day instead of the $15 at the port) and be at the Port by 9am, and then we plan on waiting and waiting and waiting until it is our turn to get on board!!! :banana:

Now thats the PLAN, what REALLY happens is another story!!!

My exact same plan. But I have'nt made up my mind as to use the park and cruise or park at the port yet. We will be leaving Disney World I guess around 8 a.m. We will be staying at the Carribean Beach resort while we are there and plan on getting to the port early.

I think I would rather park at the port but DH is from Merritt Island and said that the Park N Sail is just as good and alot cheaper AND he said that trying to get out of parking area when ALL of those people not only on our cruise but other cruises are trying to get out is just horrible and he doesn't want to have to run people over!! :scared1: Sooooo we will be parking at the Park N Sail and using their shuttle!! :sad2: Lets see who's plan actually comes to pass!!! See you there!!! :woohoo:

At the Park N Sail that we are using, if you send them an email to make a reservation it is only $6.50 a day. It would have been $7.50 if no reservation is made. I STILL would rather park at the port!!!;)

Ok, I sent in my info for the park and cruise place.:confused3 They have a coupon on thier site for 10% off if you print it out and bring it in. So I guess it would be around $6.30 a day. $19 vs. $45 to park for three nights is a good difference I guess. Will put that savings in the gas tank I'm sure.

That is great!!! :thumbsup2 That's even cheaper than the one we are using!!! I just LOVE saving money to spend on Disney stuff!!!:banana:

I can't find the coupon... any one got a link? Thanks

To everyone that has received an info packet in the mail, what is inside? I don't think we got one (unless DW has it stashed someplace). I completed the online check-in just about a week ago and we are not using DCL transportation. It is just the Magical Express info or something else? TIA!

I haven't received mine yet eitther. From what I understand it has your luggage tags in it. Plus a book of info. We are using a TA so she said that as soon as she gets them she will send them or way. BUT..... if you don't get it you can always get the luggage tags at the port.

Our packet included a small book with luggage tags, cruise itinerary, info on our online check-in, gratuity guidelines, and any reservations we made for activities or extras online (youth activities, port adventures, etc.). It also had cards with the phone number to give out for emergencies, etc.
