Okay - a few of us are researching lanyards now and had a question about the name of the group. We will try to incorporate that into the lanyard as well as the insert that goes into the badge holder.

There was discussion about this recently as none of us could remember where the name came from or had it been decided on as a group.

I'm a big fan of "Taking the Magic Across the Atlantic... From Tejas from Espana". It captures more of the spirit of our crossing from Galveston to Barcelona. Our sailing is the first and only so far of Disney ships to do that.

The other question on my mind...

Are people wanting the actual DIS lanyards and badge inserts?

Or just a DIS lanyard insert that would go into the badge of the silver/gold/platinum badge received at port? Since most will be receiving a lanyard at checkin, bringing their own from WDW with pins, etc?

The idea struck me when I saw we have so many platinum, etc - and the insert would still be identifiable as DIS (just put your room key behind it or add second badge holder from previous badges in your stash) but still help keep your DCL Castaway Club status visible (since someone mentioned crew notice that). I also noticed we have some who want lanyards but don't want to contribute $$ in the poll we took... so I thought I would throw out the idea of doing a badge insert only. Thoughts?

Either is fine for me.

Fish extender update

Cutoff date will be 6weeks prior to cruise embarkation, April 4th.

General consensus seemed to be around 15 to 20 cabins for each group
Would be manageable, so that's what I will work towards.

I really hope somebody picks up the personal navigator, meet again lunch and secret mickey - they all sound awesome!

That's true and it's looking like it will be the only Disney ship to do it for a while if they head back to PC next year!

Lanyards - Mandy I remember seeing a lot people changed there lanyard
To one of there own but just kept the printed pocket with cruise/dis name on.

We could print our own just with same design

You know... that is a very good point, Sarah. I did see several who ended up using their own or the silver/gold/platinum lanyard with the piece of paper inside for DIS. The badge holders seem to remain consistent from cruise to cruise... as far as sizing... and we have someone on the Magic this week so could verify. Heck, even if someone wanted to keep their key in one badge holder but nice printout in another, the clips easily hold two and you can pick those holders up for a dollar at Walmart, etc. Printing our own would take out the part of sending donations, making sure we have enough funds, etc. Could easily upload a file, have names/cabins on it, and people print just their page if they don't know how to change name. I know my color printer isn't the best and I printed FE labels and such at FedEx Kinkos in the past.

Definitely a great thought to consider, Sarah!

I am struggling to find some for DB - I started looking last night! I can find plenty of Muppets ones for men though so he may end up with some Kermy ones, although I am hoping to find some Beaker ones because that is my nickname for him

Have you seen the bottoms that Tesco have in, with Goofy on? I got some for DH as a Valentine gift along with a plain navy t to wear on top. I think he might wear his Mickey ones for Brekkie tho' as they're his faves.

Could someone explain it to me like I'm a 1st grader what organizing the Palo Group Brunch entails. I'm not the best organizer in the world but if it's not too complicated, I may take it on.

Ok, collect names of those who would like to dine as a group in private room at palo for brunch, minimum of 14 people.

Send in fax to dcl requesting private dining for x number of guests on whatever date with names and room/reservation
number.

Simple as long as. people commit and don't cancel last minute.

We had a great time at ours, especially fab for those adults who are travelling alone but would still like to eat at Palo.

Haha! Does he really believe you? I am tempted to get my DB the Tigger onesie because I call him that because he's ginger hence the Beaker nickname as well - because he's got about as much hair as Beaker

So we want to book three 11C rooms. Right now we can book three as GTY. All of us want to book today except my sister who is 100% in as long as she gets the final yes from my nephew's teacher, she has a meeting on Monday with her. We don't want to pay higher than the 11C rate. We do want to book all together. If we book tonight and my sister cancels, what is the loss?

Should we book tonight to confirm the 11C rate or do you think better rates will be coming out? Advice please!
