I think I can now Like the Facebook-page, it's on my profile now, but when I go to it, I can Like again so I think there's something wrong with my laptop.

What I also like to read here is that you all have to book your flight back to the U.S. and that is your long flight, for us it's just the oposite way, before the cruise we have to fly a long time. We are thinking to fly to Florida first because it's cheaper from here.

And this is my 10th post! So in my next post I am going to try to upload a picture of the Fantasy:)

This is one picture of the docking out of the Disney Fantasy on January 8 this year in Papenburg, Germany. I am going to look for a subject of the Fantasy and post my other pictures there.

Edit: On this page I've uploaded my pictures: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=45071867#post45071867

Those pictures are awesome!! Thank you for sharing! :) I also clicked on the link - nice!

Thank you! It was so cool to see this ship for the first time it was ever showed to everyone. It is a really huges ship, I knew it would be large, but this large I could'nt imagine. I was really glad that it was a day later than planned, because the 7th I had other plans.

I will be on the Fantasy from 23 June to 7 July - 1st week= Western Caribbean - 2nt week = Eastern Caribbean !! Except now that I've seen her next to the Magic - I think she's way to big. Won't know until I actually sail on her !!

WOW. I just read all 29 pages.

And now I'm even MORE stoked about this cruise!!

I'm Nikki, and DH is named Stacey. We just got off the Dream about 3 weeks ago. Booked the Fantasy 2013 (september- the week of my birthday *points to the numbers in her SN*) while on board. Got home, toyed with a trip in March 2013, one thing led to another and well, here we are! lol :cool1:

Our hope was to actually do the WBTA but with rumors abound regarding the Magic being in DD after her Med season, we decided to book EBTA. The plan, if the price is right, is to move the 2013 Fantasy to the EBTA date and book RTA using the two cruises as dates. That is, if DCL releases the rest of the Magic's 2013 schedule in time to do so.

If they do, we will likely add a week on the WBTA to see Europe. Or maybe not. I'm on the fence. :confused3 The plan was to start seeing Europe in 2014 with visits about every 2-3 years, so we may do a week long Med in 2014 and add 2 weeks in Europe then.

Anyway, back to the present. I'm almost 80% positive that this booking will stay as it is and it'll be the Fantasy we move if need be. Also, I'm thinking of booking with DU, but does anyone know if they will still be running their OBC offer? I just clicked over there and it said you had to book by May 31 to get it.

I look forward to getting to know you all in the upcoming year and can't wait to start planning magnets, shirts, and FE's oh my!

Nikki

PS

I SO want to be a champagne girl....

I have the most amazing fiance in the world!!! I am completing the last class in my master's degree in Dec, I will "walk" in May. She has told me that she wants to take me on a wonderful trip for my graduation present. (we are getting married in Oct 2013 - so this was supposed to be a smaller trip). While on the FIRST NYC cruise on the Magic we heard that this cruise was discounted...well, when we called DVC while on an excursion to WDW (neat, hmm?) we found out the points required were less than one years supply...it really began to seem real.

We scoped out airfare - that also is going to work out pretty well...so...

My AWESOME fiance is paying for this trip!! We are SO excited!!

We are: Padalyn (Cayla), Halloween_Gryl (Cathy) in cabin 6040, we are both big kids who refuse to grow up, and huge Disney fans!

A few questions, now that I have read the whole thread:

...Please add myself and Cathy (Halloween_Gryl) to the FB thread
...does anyone know what the DCL transfers from Houston to Galveston will cost?
...are there any reasonable and decent hotels in Houston (close to the airport I guess) that have liquor stores nearby?

I will have many more questions I am sure...but we are SO excited!!! We are staying in Barcelona for three days post cruise - I have been looking at hotels and have found a few that seem pretty good, she have never been to Barcelona so I want to show her the Gaudi houses and just wander around an amazing city with an amazing woman!

Cayla

Okay - I am about 2 hours past bedtime but gonna post real quick :rotfl2:

Facebook page - you just have to click "Like" and you are on the page. Not much action over there (yet)

YAY for new folks joining! :cool1:

Hotels - no clue yet - but I do know I have stayed near HOU Hobby before, but don't recall liquor stores. Will either use DCL transport or a car because only one car rental agency in Galveston and they really tack on the drop off fee. I think I read before that DCL transfers were in the $35-45 pp range ???? :confused3

Luckily we still have time to plan. Before we know it, we'll be sailing away!!! :thumbsup2

DH and I just booked our hotel for the night prior to the cruise. We plan on flying inthe day before taking a hotel shuttle to and from the airport and adding DCL transfers......Nice job on the FB page

I lucked out last night! I found a one way rental car from Hobby to Galceston.
We are checking out hotels this weekend both in Houston, Galveston & Barcelona.
Now if our wedding plans would go thus smoothly life will be grand!

Just wondering, are we planning any FE's and Secret Mickey's and private brunches and Dis tastings oh my! type events for this cruise? I read on some other meets that they are having logos and shirts and meets and I don't remember reading any of that for this. Course, I know we have a year yet (well technically less than a year :cool1:) but it would be still one more thing to look forward to.

I would assume so... but waiting until a little closer to get the ball rolling and getting someone to take the lead on each event. (?) I know for WBTA I coordinated the PJ breakfast and a private DIS excursion (of about 75 of us), along with tshirts (we were able to order through VistaPrint, but that was a little challenging because VistaPrint gave us different answers... ugh). I think we are each probably already brainstorming FE gifts to make though! We definitely participated in the FE, Secret Mickey, and Pub Crawl. I'm not a champagne drinker, but I *will* be a Champagne Girl this time!!!:thumbsup2

I had started to develop a website, which would have included our roll call and other info on our cruise, including group events. Two others, with more experience then I, have sent me a PM about taking over the website, I'm waiting to see if they want to come up with something.

On a couple of past cruises I organized a number of events for our DISboard group: private tastings, postcard exchanges, room tours, recipe exchanges, book exchanges, private rain forest tour, private sailing/snorkle excursion, Champagne Girls - one a private champagne tasting the other a BYOB in the Disney Suite, group button down camp shirts.

I'll be happy to help anyone who wants to take the lead on any of these. I've been playing around with a shirt design for us.

I thought I had seen something, and couldn't find it again! Maybe that was it. :thumbsup2 Yes - there are SO many DIS activities!

I'm willing to take the lead on organizing an event, though since I will be moving about 5 weeks after the cruise (yay for the end of residency! boo to having to start paying back 200+k worth of student loans) I think it will be more alongs a brunch or tasting or something easier to plan.

I think an excursion would be fun, but seeings as how we are not stopping in the Caribbean on our way to Europe, I don't know what we could do.

I echo MandyGirl, I *will* be a Champagne Girl this time around!! :woohoo:

Wait, the CG thing is open to all of us right? Want to make sure I'm not crashing anything I wasn't invited to. lmao ;)

I would love to organize a shirt or logo or something, but I'm so NOT creative. :confused3

I was at the champagne girls on the WBTA last sept and I remember it was "crashed" by a very envious man!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

It was a really good afternoon and a few of us got some very funny photos afterwards with donald duck.

We also took part in the cocktail mixology that was organised, which was great fun too.

Bren :cool1:
