~~~ May 16, 2009 ~~~ Western Magic ~~~
Val - are you guys staying at the Radisson? I saw your shuttle question on teh main board.
I still haven't booked anything yet but am almost positive it'll be the Radisson. The free breakfast at CI&S almost swayed me over there, but their later shuttle time is pushing me back to Radisson. :rolleyes:
Such decisions!!! I need to make up my mind NOW and just DO IT! :laughing:
Jan 24th Navigators are on another site. It will not let me link directly to the site. Do a google search for "magic western navigators".
I think that it will not let you link to it because it is on a non-DIS website.
We are staying at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral. Free breakfast and the shuttle to the port is $3 one-way, and they are suites with full kitchen.
I think I found it! Is it the disneycruiser one? THANKS! :yay: Hopefully they'll stay real similar for our cruise!
I probably better stay off that website. :laughing: The DIS is already addicting. I'm sure if I started branching out to the others, I'd NEVER GET ANYTHING DONE!!!! :rotfl2:
This is a question for anyone...
Do I have to book the pre-cruise package ($139+taxes) or can I just book the super saver rate ($107 or something similar) to get the parking and shuttle? (Or, do I need to book with the group rate Lilligator has done?) We can definitely live without breakfast, so that's not an issue. I just don't want to end up paying for parking and a shuttle if I book the cheaper rate...
I called the Radisson directly when I booked with them and I was told by the representative that the free parking and shuttle comes with all rooms that you book with them. Unfortunately the breakfast does not. :goodvibes
Cool, thanks! We will probably just have a very light breakfast that morning so we'll be ready to enjoy lunch on the ship!:cool1: I'm thinking we'll drive to middle GA on Thursday night when Adam gets off of work, then head on down to Port Canaveral Friday morning. We should arrive by dinner time, and I'm hoping we'll be able to catch a drink with one of our old Carnival cruise buddies who lives in Cape Canaveral.
I'm all planned, now I just need a reasonable tax refund (reasonable...not necessarily generous)...:)
Thanks! It's a prom dress that I found in the juniors dept on a clearance rack! :laughing:
I found this on another thread and thought I would share:
7 day Western Cruises [per 1/10/09]
PLAAPLA 5:30 and 8:00
LAPPLAP 5:45 and 8:15
APLLAPL 6:00 and 8:30
I know this is a different rotation than they had in 2007, so I thought I'd share with anyone else who is used to the "old" way. Now I'm trying to figure out the new menu rotations...:confused3
How do you know what early seating you have?
We are staying at the Residence Inn. My DD is an ATF agent. Got some good rates. We have stayed there three times before. I like the bathroom set-up. The sink is seperated from tub and toilet.
I usually throw in a load of laundry before we get on the ship. Little less packing. I figured with 9 of us, we could come up with a full load.
Still planning excursions. Time is flying.
I am chiming in late. Are people decorating their doors? My kids think I am crazy :crazy2: getting different signs. This being our first Disney cruise, why not!?! I am having fun doing it.
Unfortunately, you won't know until you check in at the terminal and see it printed on your KTTW cards. You can call and request a rotation, but there's no guarantee. We requested last time and got it.
I'll do some stuff. I haven't thought much yet about doing anything "personal" like I did last time when I did anniversary magnets. I still have my Mickey ears to go around the cabin # and some other general things about us. I'm sure as it gets closer I'll do some. I didn't tell Justin about it last time because I knew he would think it was dorky, which he later agreed he would have said. But when he & the boys turned the corner the first time and found the door decorated just for them, they were all excited about it!
morning all, I just paid off the cruise, so now we are officially in! Not, that we weren't before, but I guess I feel once I am out the money - that's it!!!
Happy Friday all!!
We are doing door signs....we always do, and I am making some for my mom and sister's door, hopefully able to surprise them.
This time I am thinking of doing my own baskets and running down to the room and putting them in while everyone is at lunch. I know it's kind of a pain, and I have always gone through Shirley, but 2 baskets for the girls are $100 and then I wanted to do one for my mom and sister which would be another $100....just this week, I got a ton of Hannah Montanta stuff for less than a $1 ---- I think though it is vacation and do I really want to hide and lug them around that morning.
DGF and I are going to be doing signs for sure. But thats probly it, just names. :)
I just booked the Radisson and am on the 10 am shuttle! Whooo hooo!!!
WTG!!! :thumbsup2 I was hoping there was still seats available on the 10:00 shuttle. Hope there's room for six more! :goodvibes I better get on the ball, too, huh? Did you get it for $107? Do you know if there are (light) breakfast options available?
Do we need to book a "group" rate, or jsut the super saver room? If there is a group already set up, I jsut want to be sure I book under it...
I think they offer a breakfast buffet, not sure how much. Yes, I booked the $107 deal, came to $119 total. The shuttle is 10-2:30 with it leaving every half hour.
