May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

Saw the pillowcase pic, it looks great!

I know I missed this somewhre, but are the pillowcases for the kids to use during the trip or are they for character autographs? Or am I way of the mark all around?

Thanks! They are actually for the characters. We drop them off at guest services and then they are magically signed and we pick them back up as a gift for the kids

Yippee! We're just a week away from cruise time!!!

Amy thanks for the reminder. It is good to think , WOW one week from today we awake to fly into MCO then to the Wonder.

The first part of this trip will be great, I feel the thoughts of work slipping away. Thursday at work mentally I will be in FL, getting ready to leave the next day. First week of this trip I will be doing the vegamatic thing, this is a first for a type A minus personality like me. Kinda looking forward to nothing really planned and seeing where the breezes blow and the current of life takes us.

Scottie good job on the pillowcases. They look great.

Weather looks good. Don't forget the sun screen.

Will do a final check of the bags and documents today when I get a chance.

The pillowcases do look good. I can picture them now, with all the signatures. They are a great idea.

The weather is definately do-able. I think it was like that in 2002 when we went to WDW. Beautiful.

Does anyone know if the cruise ship has refillable mugs like in WDW? Or do we just have to pay for all the soda we drink, outside of the restaurants?

There is a cruise mug you can purchase that will get you all the soda you can drink. I think it was $35 for a 7 day, but don't know the price for the 4 day.

When I could drink soda I would accidently spill rum in my mug before they added the cocacola. oops. Had to make sure they did not dump the rum thinking it was old soda. Now I have to drink the rum strait, or mixed with non carbonated stuff. They also had a beer mug deal but I can not remember the details. I think it was $3.00 per refill at 22 oz vs. the 16 oz bar drafts.

I believe the mug is $5.00 per day= $20.00 for our cruise. We will be purchasing one or two mugs this cruise. We found it do be a decent deal on our last cruise.

Being that we sail out next weekend, I thought everyone might enjoy seeing “our” ship at port today: http://wx.local6.com/orlpn/sh/wx/po...fm?ImageID=8541
DARN the link isnt working on this posting for some reason

Thanks for all the positive comments on the pillowcases, they should turn out great with the signatures added.

Happy Mothers Day to all those moms sailing with us!!

They also have a bucket of beer that Keith thinks is pretty great....they put ?5? beers on ice in a bucket.....forget now if its 5 or 6....

We fly in late Friday night, get to MCO about 915pm.....not sure what Sat has in store....I keep thinking the cruise starts Sat morning......hard to remember its SUNday!!!

4 more days of work...yippee!!!

Kelli

We leave JAC early (6:40 am) Friday, Will spend Fri and Sat in ATL. Leave early Sunday (6:46 AM)for MCO.

Just checked over our paperwork etc. Have paper tickets for the bulk of this trip but have e-tickets from ATL to MCO. I am not a big fan of e-tickets.

The rest of today will be teaching SCUBA. Last class for this group, final exam and stuff.

The weather looks great for us while en route and on the ship.

Just think soon we will converge on the ship to travel on the big blue wet thing.

thanks guys. I will defineately get the kids the refillables. I cant believe we leave in 3 days. It seemed like it wasnt getting here fast enough, and now, it is right on top of us.

Glenn our clocks say 2 days!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE - Did you hear dad and I talking yesterday about ordering room service everyday. You can order lemonade to your room and you can always get it along with fruit punch I think they said on Deck 9. The kids can have soda with every meal for free. Wouldn't they like lemonade and fruit punch for the times that we aren't at meals? Seems like an awful lot of money for just soda.

Anyway, I found out, the movies playing on the Wonder for when we are there are as follows:

Brother Bear
Calendar Girls
Commander and something (I can't remember what she said)
Cold Mountain
Finding Nemo
Freaky Friday
Hidalgo
Home on the Range
Pirates of the Caribean
Teachers Pet
Lord of the Rings
Master and Commander
Miracle

I may have missed one too. She was talking quick

2 days.....:bounce:

I havent seen most of those movies. Not that I plan on watching too many on the boat. True about the soda. that would be $60 for just my kids. They dont need that much soda. I will see how it goes and maybe just buy them water..

Just remember to bring a water bottle with you on the boat and then refill that at the stand on deck 9 (I think). What about snacks for the train ride. Do you want me to go to the store when we get there tomorrow night?

I will pick up some grapes and apples, cut them up, some raisins, string cheese.....whatever else you can think of. The kids will be over as soon as they get out of school since I will be at Aunt Dees funeral. I wont be there all day. I can pick the stuff up and get it ready.

juice boxes too!!!!! Less sugar if possible. string cheese and fruit are a good idea. Remember we are in different cars!

NOT FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember you have to put up with me for the next 10 days buddy boy! Life could be good or life could be hell....you decide lol
