May 14th - May 19th: How busy is WDW??

Well, Southwest was offering $49 one-way fares to MCO and I couldn't help myself. I booked the flight and now I'm wondering if I will be able to get a room??

Has anyone booked a room for this week at a DVC resort lately?? It's before Memorial Day and kids getting out of school. So, I'm hoping we have a good chance at something. Does anyone know of any event that is happening that will cause a big crowd??

I'm calling MS tomorrow, but I thought I'd see if anyone on the DIS might have some info.

The Epcots flower and garden festival will going on then but we have gone the last 3yrs and the crowds don't seem to bad to us.We will be there the same wk. But we booked at 11 months out.

I have been there then and it is not too crowded. It starts to pick up a few weeks after that with memorial day weekend.

We'll be there that week too. May 14th is Mother's Day.....Happy Disney Mother's Day to me! We booked at BCV at 11 months and have been on the waitlist for a 2 BR since January (friends decided to come with us). In Feb. I was able to book them a studio at OKW as a back-up room in case the 2 BR doesn't come through. Good luck!

Oh, one more big event---Star Wars Weekends starts on Friday the 19th at MGM. We're staying the weeked just for that. It was great last year!

Talked to MS this morning. Booked a studio for the 14th at VWL and a 1 bd at OKW for the 15th through 19th. All resorts except BCV had a studio available for Mother's day. I only asked about OKW for the rest of the stay and it seemed to be no problems.

The only bummer... I'm now singing the borrow blues! I banked 120 points before the deadline and have since borrowed all but 4 points from my allotment for next year!!

Thank goodness my DD is entering Kindergarten and we will no longer be able to take 4 trips in an eight month period (Sept., March, April, & May)!! Can't wait for September!! I can start borrowing from the next use year!!!

DD4 doesn't want to go to Epcot. Looks like we will miss the flower show. However, Star Wars weekend sounds cool. I might have to cruise on over to MGM/Disney studios to check it out!!
