MAY 14th 2012 Magic?!

What's everyone doing in Nassau? I was planning on doing the Blue Lagoon beach day but I think we're just going to explore Nassau instead.

We haven't decided yet. I been reading on the DIS board to not do much anything on your own in Nassau so I thought we might do an excursion and the straw market. :confused3 Not real sure yet thought.

Yeh, it's so confusing to choose. I think we're going to go to the straw market and Pirate Museum. Then I thought about going to a beach and getting some day passes to the Sheraton. Not sure yet either....

I've seen some mention of the Pirate Museum in some trip reports pirate:. I thought about seeing what it was all about. I'll do some research :surfweb:. Have you seen the threads going around about how dangerous Nassau has gotten? It kinda makes me nervous but I figure if we don't stray to far from the boat we should be fine. I'm pretty sure at Castaway Cay we are going to do the stingray excursion. I read somewhere that the stingrays in the excursion have had their "rays" or whatever their called removed so they aren't as dangerous but I'm not totally sure that is true :confused3

I hope we can do the fish extenders. Our thread seems a little slow right now but we still have 7 months to plan :woohoo:

Hi fellow cruisers :goodvibes We are just under 7 months away from sailing! :cool1: It doesn't appear that very many people have booked our cruise. There is still rooms available in every category. Hope we get enough DIS'ers to join us and do the fish extenders. Hope all is well with everyone

:woohoo:

We just decided to downgrade from a verandah to an inside room, saved over 600.00. We're still on deck 7 though. :)

Just a tad over 6 months!!

REALLY exciting!

We are getting our passports this month (HATE how much it costs!)

*Anyone know what kind of discount Disney gives when you re-book another cruise while on your cruise?
I got an extra $100 OBK booking through my agent so, depending on the discount who will will book through for our following cruise.

*How much spending $ is everyone bringing to shop/tip?

*Anyone planning to bring their own alcohol?

We're out, decided to switch to the Disney Dream. Hope everyone has a great trip!

Cant wait to check out the Magic in exactly 6 months. DREAM is awesome, heck everything was great. Did the 3 day and it was tooo short!

You get 10% discount, $100 to $200 OBC based on which cruise you book and 10% down deposit for future cruises booked while onboard..

you really do not need passports for kids, only birth certificates. i guess you can use a b/certi for adults too.

the Castaway cay was AWESOME... starting a new counter!!:cool1:

Taking our first Disney cruise on the Magic on May 14th. DH and I will be celebrating DS 2nd birthday (can't believe it!) and my 30th. We are so excited about this wonderful trip.

We just booked this cruise. It is our second Disney cruise, both on the magic.

We are:

Me, Scott, 43
Karen, Wife, 43
Peter, Son, 5, almost 6 by the time the cruise rolls around.

We are from Greensboro, NC.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot of activity on the thread so far, so to see if this gets things going, here is a picture of us:

Anyone else have kids? How old? On our prior cruise, Peter met a buddy on one of these groups and had a ready friend for the whole cruise, it was great.

Anyhow, hopefully we'll talk to some of you soon.

Hi. This will be a great cruise at a great price. I couln't pass it up. My wife needs a vacation.:santa:
Gus

We are so excited about this cruise :) Our family is here in Florida, and my sister and her family are in NC. I've just booked my sister on this cruise, and I'll be booking our family on this cruise in the next couple of weeks :) We have been on the Dream and Wonder, but my sister and her bunch have never cruised at all! :cool1:

Can't wait until May!!! :yay:

It will be the first cruise for me, DH and DS (18 mths at time of cruise).

Welcome aboard Sourberry! We've only cruised once before, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'm sure someone can help. Cruising with an 18 month old will sure be and adventure, but he will love it.

This will be our second cruise....first with Disney! It will be our 12th anniversary! Super excited! Will be me, DH and DD 10 (almost 11 by time of cruise). This is my first time posting....been a lurker 'til now :cool1:

Yay! We are getting people sneaking in a little at a time!

We also booked my sister (don't remember if I posted this already) and her kids which are 11 and 13.

My son Zealand will be 4.5 and he never met a boy who wasn't his "new best friend"!
My daughter Kingsley will be 3.5 and she is adorable yet VERY bossy! She loves all things Disney and after going to the parks over 30x in the last year I'm ready for a change too!

This is our 1st cruise and I think I have more than studied every angle and move. It was always my dream to cruise any line but since Disney came out, I knew exactly what my new goal was.
I'm excited for us to dig in and chat....I started a fb page and linked it in one of my previous posts if anyone else wants to join in.

Paid off out cruise yesterday! Just a reminder to some of the new cruisers, you will have a date coming up where you can book Palo dinner/brunch and excursions. For us, it is February 14 (we are "silver" meaning we have taken one other cruise). I think if you are a first-timer, you can book the same date, but I'm not sure. You do need to be paid in full to book. Palo books up pretty fast, so go to book as soon as you can if you want to eat there. TTYL.

Just paid off our cruise :) We are also silver so we'll be checking in on the 14th. My sister who is sailing with us is a first time cruiser so she has check in on the 29th I think :) We are sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! I can't wait until May!:cool1:
