Welcome! On the first page of this thread is a google spreadsheet link and a facebook link. It lists some of the events our group has planned.

I was on the Baltic and the Repo with you last year. Hopefully we will get to meet!

CANDY SWAP #4 has just been opened - if you want to join - go to page ONE and click on the spreadsheet link, and find the sign up sheet for Candy Swap #4 there.

here is the info:

Candy Swap - Participants will be broken into groups of no more than 25 PEOPLE (not cabins) - so while you will not know yet who you are giving to, you will only need 25 pieces of snack size candy! This Swap is for any type of candy, including chocolate.

I just signed up. Do I deliver the candy like a FE gift?

Also have opened up an FE #4 - we had quite a few newcomers ask about it - so we will see how it goes - The cut off for it is May 1- so no matter how small that is the last day = it may be a small group but that is ok!

Hey All,
My family and I (DH, DW and 2 -7yr, old DDs) just booked and are late coming to the DisBoard party. We are 1st time cruisers on any boat and have some questions.

Upon adding adding our names to the roll call we noticed the prince/princess tea event. In our search for more info. we read it is assigned based on Deck # and takes place over several days. Can anyone provide us with the details -What is this event and how do we sign up? Where or when does this take place?

We saw a 75 minute "campout" for 8-10 year olds listed. However, I saw 2010 Sept. WBTA cruise Navigator sheets and read a post from the '09 EBTA regarding an all night camp-out for 5-10 yr olds. Anyone familiar with the all-nighter or know if it will be offered on '11 EBTA?

Has anyone shipped items home using the UPS outlet offered by Disney at disembarkation? What were your experiences?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

To ship items home was very expensive - we are talking a couple hundred Eruo's I think to mail home, it would be cheaper to buy a suitcase and pay the fee to the airlines if you are mailing back to the US. If you live in europe I do not know what the rate is.

I just signed up. Do I deliver the candy like a FE gift?

Yes you just deliver like you would an FE - I am making up something to hang for those who are doing the Candy Swap but not in the FE so they can collect their candy! Nothing big, just a gift bag type.

TxMermaid1,

Thank you for your reply. It is very helpful. We are really hoping there is an all-nighter for the kids.
It is also good to know how the invitation to the tea works. Do the invitations arrive with all the cruise documents?
We are looking forward to meeting everyone and having lots of fun.
See you soon.

Be sure you sign up on the roll call sheet. The link to it is on the first page of this thread. Please add your daughters names and cabin # as some Pixie Dust may come their way...:rolleyes1

We are getting excited about our cruise and was wondering what the temp's will be in the ports? Looking online it looks to be a bit "cool" in most ports around 60-70 degrees. (sorry if that seems odd to some, :confused3 but we are from south Florida!!) I was preparing to pack summer clothes but now thinking we may need long pants, shirts and light jackets!! What are your thoughts??

Just checking in and general catch up. We leave for New York in 13 days for our vacation of a life time. Looking forward to saying hi for real.

Warm hugs to everyone, be well see ya'll real soon.

Originally , I was thinking 2 pr of pants and a few pr of shorts. I hate to be cold. I will be bringing more pants and even a few sweaters.

So, with just 3 weeks (or so) to go I figured I would check the weather for our ports:

Funchal : http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/POXX0014
Looking a bit chilly with highs in the upper 60's.

Cadiz : http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/SPXX0017
Looks like they are heading into highs in the low 70's

Gibraltar : http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/GIXX0001
Looks about the same as Cadiz

Barcelona : http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/SPXX0015
Somewhere between Funchal and Cadiz apparently :)

We were on the 07 EBTA and were in long pants and a light jacket in all of the ports. Just a little cool to be in shorts and no jacket. If your port calls take you to any chruches or cathedrals, you'll want sometoing covering your shoulders and knees anyway.

Heading south three weeks from tomorrow morning. Are we still counting in days or in hours now?

I am taking two shorts, two pairs of capri's, a pair of jeans, two dress pants for dinner and a casual skirt. I plan on taking a foldup rain jacket. I will be buying a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie on the ship. I need some souvies....Right? :goodvibes

Well I so totally messed up on counting for my FE gifts. When I was counting rows looking at doing one particular item per cabin, I totally missed that Heidi had two cabins on her row.

For Heidi will you have two FE's hanging out or sharing one between the group of you all?

I am needing to rethink one of them as I was going to do one per cabin, but now I am thinking I need to go one per adult???? Well guess I will talk to dear hubby and see what he thinks.

Glad I got my docs yesterday, the little booklet is just so neat. Really think I need to start my packing process and see how much room I have and what I can and can't take along.

Sorry for the delay! Trying to catch up, I've fallen quite far behind. My cousin flies back to the states on Monday, so I'll be able to get caught up then.

I'll hang two FE's, one for each stateroom :). I'm doing a gift per person, a gift per stateroom and extra gifts for the kids. I would love to do more, since it is such a long cruise, but the gifts already weigh too much as it is.

I too think I need to rethink what I have packed for my clothes. I do think I have too much when I see what others have mentioned. But anyway for now I have 3 pair of jeans, 2 skorts, 3 pair of capri pants, 2 shorts. Then for dinner I have 4 dresses and 2 skirts packed.

I am thinking perhaps to take out the shorts??? I am fairly comfortable in jeans unless we are getting into say 90 degree weather, which I don't think we will see. Just the shorts are lighter than the jeans and take up less room.

I did load the weather for each city onto my Ipod so I will check those again before we leave that week before and see how things are still looking.
