Hey All,
My family and I (DH, DW and 2 -7yr, old DDs) just booked and are late coming to the DisBoard party. We are 1st time cruisers on any boat and have some questions.

Upon adding adding our names to the roll call we noticed the prince/princess tea event. In our search for more info. we read it is assigned based on Deck # and takes place over several days. Can anyone provide us with the details -What is this event and how do we sign up? Where or when does this take place?

We saw a 75 minute "campout" for 8-10 year olds listed. However, I saw 2010 Sept. WBTA cruise Navigator sheets and read a post from the '09 EBTA regarding an all night camp-out for 5-10 yr olds. Anyone familiar with the all-nighter or know if it will be offered on '11 EBTA?

Has anyone shipped items home using the UPS outlet offered by Disney at disembarkation? What were your experiences?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I can't answer any of your questions because it is my first cruise of any kind too but just wanted to say welcome to the DIS and enjoy the party, it's great. You should also join the Facebook party, if you haven't already but be warned, it's very addictive.
:)

Welcome to the group!
As far as the ?? go... I do know there should be an all night camp out for the kids. My grandkids went on the Panama Canal cruise in Jan and loved it.
The Prince and Princess tea party you saw is by invitation only and Disney will send you an invitation with your times on it.. You are allowed to bring 2 adults for each child. The sign up sheet you saw on this forum is for people who do not have children and want to go.. and for people who have children and could take one of the adults with them as a guest.....

I have not shipped home from the cruise.. I have heard it is rather expensive from Europe. I do however send a package to the ship ahead of the cruise to save on luggage space... they deliver it to your cabin. This does work very well...

Again.. welcome to the group and we look forward to meeting you.

Hi. We wanted to send you a private message, but we are newbies and haven't posted enough.
We are a family of 4 from Atlanta,GA taking our first cruise ever on the EBTA.
We are very excited about the upcoming EBTA and meeting new people. In our efforts to gather information we signed up on the roll call sheet. We saw you were looking for 2 spaces to the Princess tea. We have 2 DDs and 2 adults. You are welcome to join us if you would like. At the very least we look forward to meeting you.

TxMermaid1,

Thank you for your reply. It is very helpful. We are really hoping there is an all-nighter for the kids.
It is also good to know how the invitation to the tea works. Do the invitations arrive with all the cruise documents?
We are looking forward to meeting everyone and having lots of fun.
See you soon.

No.. they will deliver them to your stateroom.

Also make sure you are on the roll call sheet with your cabin #... and kids names... there could be a surprise for them from me..... ;-)

Thank you! You made my day. Our cruise docs arrived today and no invitations. I felt like Cinderella. We will look for invites and surprises in our rooms. We will look for you on deck. Can't wait. :)

Congrats! Us too! Updated something on my reservation online tonight and noticed we moved from an 11B to a 9A. :cool1: The new room is right across the hall. Don't have our official docs yet so am going to call the travel agent tomorrow just to make sure it is real before I update it on our spreadsheet for the fish extender list. Excited to have a cruise where the pixie dust found me. :wizard:

Everyone may want to double check their room assignment online and update the spreadsheet so other people don't get your goodies!!

Oh my...I'm many pages behind AGAIN!

The UPS shipping was easy but expensive. You'll have to figure whether it is better to pay for an extra piece of luggage or to ship it. You'll get to pay for the box and the packing service as well as the shipping cost if you use UPS.

I saw somewhere within this thread discussion of lanyards.... is it too late to contribute $ & participate?
