Hi, haven't been on here in quite a long time. Really getting excited for our trip. My mother had to cancel on us, so now it will just be me and my husband.

We are thinking just to rent a car to drive to Port Canaveral that Friday/Saturday. That way we don't need to leave our car at Dulles for two weeks, hotel for Friday and airfare, then transportation to PC. Just figured the drive will ultimately be cheaper for us. Hope I didn't make a mistake on our return flight from Barcelona. We ended up booking a flight at 9:10 am that Saturday. After speaking with several reps and ground services we were told we should be able to leave the ship at 5 am that Saturday. If not we may end up trying to stay at a hotel in Barcelona that Friday instead of on the ship. Guess we will see.

Would love to know more about the fish extenders and what types of things do people do for little gifts, etc.

We've seen a lot of different things in FEs. Here's a "brief" list of some of them....

Assorted small candy
single serving bottles of liquor
cheap journals for kids (dollar spot at target!)
pencils
hiliters
home made luggage tags
home made bookmarks
magnets for your door
cd's of music
cd's of favorite recipes
items from your local area
home made ornaments (near Xmas time)
home made jewelry
And probably our favorite and the one that drew the most comments from non Disers: a small package of ice cream cones!

I believe the tentative time is 3pm in the Promenade Lounge the day we board (Sat.) before the muster drill.

I found out tonight that 2 of my favorite members of the serving staff are currently on the Dream (boo hiss) However, one will be going on vacation between now and our cruise, and doesn't know where they will be assigned for the next contract. The info came with some real interesting comments about the Dream. It makes me hope that either they got their act together or I'm glad I'm not there.

OK, this cold weather is getting to me--I need a cruise!

If you want to do it I would go ahead and put your name down. If group 2 doesn't fill up I imagine we'd just move it into group 1. There's still a lot of time to finish up FE stuff!

It really seems like they missed something on the Dream at least in the way some of the decks are laid out. I'm actually glad none of the itineraries on it are ones we want to do. We'll wait for the Fantasy and hope they are able to learn from their mistakes

Hello everyone and to all those who have joined us recently.

Just returned from the Maiden Voyage of the DREAM, and yes there were hiccups, but the ship is beautiful, elegant, and very different from what we all are used to from sailing on the Magic and Wonder. They are trying some new things and some are working, but some have some kinks. Still, it was an amazing experience.

Now to start planning for this cruise. I will be happy to head up the book exchange as I am an avid reader as well.

I can not believe the cost to wash undergarments You'd be better off buying a new pack and throwing the dirty away.

I will definitely be doing laundry.

We have stopped at ABC in Coca Beach, too.

Just booked Pan Pacific in Vancouver for our Alaska cruise. My husband got us a great deal.

Same here! Snow starting tomorrow and ending Wednesday night up to "17 of new snow. Now they are also mentioning freezing rain on top of it! I don't mind the snow but please no more freezing rain and sleet!!

Ice here too! I went in to work today and left an hour later because the freezing rain started. We are supposed to get an inch of ice and up to a foot of snow. Looks like I'm homebound for a day or two. Grocery stores are cleaned out of bread, milk, eggs and bananas! As long as we don't loose power, we'll be fine. Couch, blanket, Netflix and we're good to go.

Around here it's bread, milk and eggs, too. We joke that everyone's planning on having french toast while stuck at home. Add bananas and you have... TONGA TOAST! That's even better! And much more Disney-related!

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt, however, our flight doesn't arrive until late Friday night so we'll be off to bed soon after we land. Hoping for a solid night's sleep before we head to the port...

I saw on the boards DCL cancelled Sept Med. cruise to booking for a private company. Those poor people. I can't imagine being 7 months out with plans, arrangements and anticipation and getting that phone call or letter. That may be why phones are busy, they are all screaming at DCL and have the right to do so!

I know.... I was on the phone on hold for an hour and 25 minutes last week when I disconnected myself. I had to call back and wait another half hour.

Not looking forward to that call.. I sent an email to see if they could do it that way.

Heather- when I called I asked about long wait times. They told me that they were busy due to all the publicity of the Dream.
