DrCavin, sorry to hear about your cat. Ours got sick this past winter and we thought we would have to go through the same thing, it's hard.

DD and I are busy fighting sinus problems. Supposedly, this is the worst allergy season to hit this area for 6 years, or so it said on the news. Can't wait for me and my sinuses to be out to sea! I hear that there are no pollen issues out there.

Well I just called Grills, they apparently do not take ressies after 4p. I told the laughing girl on the other end of the phone that we were a party of 23, and she said all we could do was call an hour before hand and put our name on the wait list.

Comments? Suggestions?

Everyone leaving today and tomorrow have a safe trip.

Teri actually I'm the one with the 3 girls. My daughter takes ballet too and her recital is next month as well. We taped a practice on our video camera so she can practice at home. This is my first time doing this and I can't believe how much makeup they want them to wear for the recital! I'm not a big make up person and half the stuff they want on her face I don't even own!

I'm all packed but I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something! I hate that! Guess I'll go recheck my lists again!

Be Happy the girls' recitals are next month. Our is the Next Sun at 10AM the day after we come back.. I have to have everything ready before we leave on Fri. so I don't forget anything. I know I will still be in vacation mode. Plus after the recital everyone comes back to our house for food and drinks.. Ugh!!!! They will be missing their rehearsals which are the week we are cruising. Oh well.. the makeup is another story,

Can't W8, boy do I hear ya about the sinus problems! I'm on antibiotics and fortunately the doctor agreed to prescribe an extra round just in case. At least I can relax knowing that I have enough medicine. Flying always makes it worse. I imagine that is true for you too.

Dr. Cavin, sorry about your cat. Animals really are part of the family.

Steve, so sorry to hear about your cat. We've been down that road recently and we know how you feel.


I am now on VACATION!!! I arrived home a few minutes ago, and boy am I pumped!!! I'll be printing out my boarding passes in about 90 minutes, gotta get that "Group A" boarding pass!!!


I'm still up for meeting at Grills if everyone else still wants to, just let me know. I did invite Shirley and Norm from The Perfect Gift to join us, but I haven't heard back from Shirley whether they are going to be able to make it. My family will be stopping by her shop on Friday to pay her a visit, since we have some cruise business to take care.

Okay quick reply here, I'm Insane! As if I'm not busy enough, I just ran out and bought this:

Don't worry I'm not cruel! The breeder is going to hang onto her for us until we get back. It's just that we've been looking for a yorkie (female) and all the females sell first, so I had to grab her when I got the chance. She's so adorable and the kids just love her. We visited her for a while before we had to leave her. She's our "friend" for our miniature schnauzer (female also). Thought I'd share how crazy I am!

Oh Teri by the way our daughter is doing Starry Starry Night by Josh Groban, I love HIM!!!! Well his voice anyway. That reminds me I still need to alter DD's costume before the trip. AAUGH!!!

I actually have 2 boys... one that is 5 and one turning 9 on 5/13.

I do think we have to show them some kind of ID/tell them at the port to get in parking. I'm not sure we'll be able to make it that far in the surprise thing myself...they may be listening to their Ipods, or we may say to the gate guard we're off to see the Magic or something. I don't know. We are winging it.

Why don't you write a short note in bold type that you can hand the guards with the ID's? Something like "Kids think we're just visiting. Please don't spoil the surprise."

Just a thought.

She is so cute!! I want a puppy so bad for the girls, but my husband said I have to wait until we get into our house!!! Ah, Man!!!

I thank my lucky stars that her recital isn't that Sunday!! I'll be thinking of you. I'm sure she's going to look beautiful.

That's a great idea!! I've done that before and it's worked. At first, they look at you like you're crazy, but then it sinks in and they're like, "OOOHH, Okay."

We are one step closer, I printed off our Southwest Boarding Passes a little bit ago, and yes, we have "Group A" for the cattle run!!!

Tomorrow morning I have to go and get my driver's license renewed, that's always fun, then after that, go to the bank and get some cash out for the trip!!!

Hazel and I will be watching the clock until 11:45, that's when we will sign Angelina out of school, then we will come home and wait for Rapid Rover to pick us up between 2:45 and 3:00 and take us to Philly Airport!!!

Well, since I have been awake since 3:30 this morning, I'm starting to feel a bit tired, going to try and take a 15-20 minute power nap if I can.

Lee, your puppy is adorable !!
Our lab is 9 1/2 but is acting older. He's slowing down, takes a little longer to stand up, stuff like that. My mom lives with us so she'll be caring for him. He's gonna be lost without us tho. He follows me everywhere. Mom keeps saying "I hope nothing happens to him while you're gone".

Andy, what is Group A boarding pass?

So we'll still meet at Grills, I'll take the # with me and call exactly at 4:30 . I love to use "The Donner Party" when making reservations, but I think I'll just use my name.
