May 13.2006 Eastern

I just received an e-mail from my niece that will be cruising with us, they got their docs yesterday and her DH just got an unexpected bonus at work this morning!!!

Good Morning Everyone -

This is me at work this morning :surfweb:

The Jimmy Buffet show was GREAT! I had a few sips of DW's Margarita, I was tipping back the beers! If you've never been to a Jimmy Buffet concert, when he makes his way to the East Coast, GO! What a party! The sun was out :sunny: , 75 degrees, light ocean breeze, the smell of burgers and BBQ's..ahhh! Now I'm just TIRED!

Hanover - our spouces will get along great! DW will be in the tropical "zone" for weeks now. The cruise will be the icing on the cake!

I'm passing on the Butterfly farm/taxi info on to DW. Thanks to all for your thoughts on that.

I've sent an email to DW, who works from home, to watch for our envelope! Please come today, please come today :wizard:

I think I am all caught up on everyones exciting news :thumbsup2

V-Man - Happy Belated Birthday, the Outback is one of our favorite restaurants

Hanover - I cannot believe you have your documents, I am planning to celebrate with KONCH KOOLER"S" along with the other couple we are travelling with. I need to get to the store for my ingredients :rolleyes1

bxirishrn - I hope the meclizine works for the migraines - is that what you have taken in the past? I would still take along something else for nausea JUST IN CASE meclizine doesn't always cut it! HOPEFULLY YOU ARE PLANNING FOR WHAT WILL NEVER COME/MIGRAINES & NAUSEA :teeth:

Cali-Mouse - a ticket to BUFFET in the Boston area is a hard find - you could go to a ticket agent and get one for around $500 ea. if you are lucky the wait in line with bracelets etc... never seemed to be my thing for him - now if it were Garth Brooks or Tim McGraw I would camp out for a week if thats what it took!

Seeing Tim in June for our 3rd time this year - and lurk daily waiting for a Garth tour to be announced I will not miss that I have seen him twice in the past.

Hanover, I have been working for 3 days on creating my own scrapbooking room and office - finally moved the computer desk in and got it all set up, now I have to load and organize the room - I have so much more to do, and the kids have been home all week on vacation so it has been hard squeezing it all in - a "mothers" work is never done.

I can't wait for UPS to drive up to my house and leave our docs. I will be doing a HAPPY DANCE :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hazel came and picked me up from work today, but she was a few minutes later than usual. Just as Hazel was leaving the house to pick me up she said my mom called to let us know that "some" of our docs were in. My mom's and my docs arrived, but Hazel's and Angelina's were not in the package. Now I have to find out what happened to the other docs. :confused3

I know the cruise is getting closer and closer....I just bought the boys yogurt at the grocery store that expires AFTER we get back home!

Cali -Mouse: I'm glad to hear the Buffet concert was a blast.

Hooksenemy- My scrapbooking room is my basement. I love being able to keep my stuff out, make a mess and none of our visitor's ever see it! I'm a neat freak everywhere else in the house. I organize my scrapbook stuff when I can, but tend to just spread things out while I work. I have a large table where I scrap, a small table that holds my punches, embellisments, cuttings systems, etc. and some shelves that are packed with stuff I hope to use one day once I catch up and branch out to non-Disney and sport related pictures I take. I did buy a 24 shelf rolling paper organizer a couple weeks ago that looks great. It was $50 but I had a 50% off coupon. I was so sick of the 5 inches of WDW background pages I've collected over the last 8 years sliding all the time and having to sort through constantly to find the ones I wanted. There are enough spaces I could literally devote one to each of the main characters, princesses, a cruise shelf and each of the WDW parks. It was a nightmare to put together though. Far worse than any child's toy we've ever built. I'm hoping to get my stickers organized out of a giant box I keep them in too. I keep my small and large solid colored background paper and my scrap paper collection in CM accordion folders. My dh even bought me a nice big florescent light and installed it yesterday because our previous lighting was so dull at night (when I actually get to scrap). I'm working on day 3 of a 6 day trip to WDW last August. I'll probably do our May trip and then get our January 2006 WDW pictures printed and scrapped. I go in spurts. I really wanted to get this current one I'm working on finished, but I'm nearly out of refill paper and my CM consultant isn't placing an order until May 1 when the new Disney stuff comes out (Mickey punch, Mickey paper pack, Pooh paper pack and the album). I'm using a 15 X12 CM album which fits a lot of pictures but you have to be really creative to use 12 X 12 backround pages and fill in that extra 3 inches. I'm making a lot of titles!

I hope everyone has a nice weekend. We'll be spending most of tomorrow at opening day for our boys baseball/t-ball teams and Sunday at soccer games.

I found out what happened with our docs. There were two booklets in with the cruise documents, one booklet was for my mom, the other booklet was for me, Hazel and Angelina. My mom didn't know the second booklet was for the three of us, she thought is was just mine. Hazel and Angelina are feeling better already!!!

How did they arrive? UPS, FedEx or regular mail?

They were delivered by UPS to my mom in Lake County, FL. :goodvibes

Andy - Happy Belated Birthday and many more!

And now---WOO HOO! Our documents arrived around 7 PM tonight. I didn't know "Brown" worked that late; but sure glad he did!! :cheer2:

Taking a ride up to Cocoa Beach tomorrow to check out Best Western. We'll have to ride past the Port and check the Magic out too. Just 3 weeks!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Hi
VMan- Happy Birthday Hope it was Great

Cali= I am really jealous. We are true Parrot Heads here on the East Coast. I have been trying to get tix for Aug. and I'm not having any luck. :wizard: We've gone to see him 3x and he puts on a great concert.
We are so looking forward to hearing some Buffet on the cruise and steel drums. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :woohoo:

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I did have a very nice day yesterday!!! :thumbsup2

I do have one question tonight however, would anyone like to take a 15 year old girl, that has PMS, off my hands for a few days? She is driving me  tonight!!! For those of you that have girls that haven't reached the teen years yet, good luck!!!

Hi Hooks,

I am on yet another med to head off the migraines (now Topamax) :headache: and on meclizine for motion sickness/car sickness/sea sickness.

Spring is leaving NJ this weekend. I finally wore shorts today and froze!!
It's supposed to to pour all weekend. Rain now, sunshine in 3 weeks! :sunny:

Gawsh, V-Man, you've got a fan for life!!

Andy, I just wanted to share I was once a 15 year old PMS'ing girl - I turned out okay! DH may beg to differ however I would kill him :rotfl2:

I am willing to bet, she is online seeking another father because you are so UNFAIR, and just DON'T UNDERSTAND, you are NOT AT ALL FUNNY - in my day we just packed a bag and headed to a friends for some "real" support - parent have NO CLUE :lmao:

Ooooooh if I could do it all again, how things would ..... probably be the exact same, it is awful being a teenager :furious: !

Hang in there parenting is the hardest job in the world but time passes so quickly it is a blink of an eye and you will be walking her down the aisle

Have a good sleep everyone.

I am far from current and maybe having a pleasant environment that is technologically up to date I can get some scrapping done! the room looks great, I just need to find time.

I am hoping for a summer of catch up! Get myself done. i am sure I will fill about 5 12x12 albums. I haven't done anything larger, I have one smaller and I did not like it!

CM stuff is great but I do want to use more of the embellishments such as the grommets and stuff, now with the new space I will have places to practice!

It is certainly expensive to get set up but worth it in the end, I love looking at what I have done - I am a true novice nothing fancy but I love it!

Kids have barely talked about the cruise, i am beginning to think they are spoiled :rolleyes1 How could that be :confused3

I won't have much time to log in the next few days, busy with soccer/baseball and a nieces christening

:yay: In a short 21 days, we will be sailing away!!! :yay:

By the time we all went to bed last night, Angelina was laughing, joking, gave me a big good-night hug and kiss, like nothing at all happened all evening. Teenagers, I hope I make it through these years, LOL!!! :rotfl:

Andy: I am not looking forward to those years w/my kids especially my DD...

We started packing last night, dont think we are going to have many days where we will be needing our swim suits until then... Just have to pack the formal wear & all the personal effects. I did come to realize those tags they put on clothes are ANNOYING!! I had the chore of cutting them all off :(

I just got our suitcases out of storage, it all seems so real now. :thumbsup2 The next step is getting our summer clothes out and getting them ready for packing!!! :goodvibes

Hazel decided she wanted to go back and join the workforce again (at least part-time) after our cruise, I think she is getting tired of baby-sitting a 2 and a 1/2 year old. Anyhow, Hazel found out last evening that she will start her job on May 22nd. They wanted her to start on May 11th, but when she told them that's the day we leave for our cruise, they said, "OK, you can start after your cruise." :)

Congrats Hazel, I think I would rather work full-time than babysit... ;)

The dog & cats know something is up, they noticed the suitcases and now they are following me around the house LOL....

DrCavin, that's so funny! Our dog is the same way. She starts whining when she can tell we're going on a big trip or something.

Andy, happy be-lated birthday. I dread the teenage years with 3 daughters of my own, and considering I was a terrible teenage girl, I just know it will be payback time! Good thing I turned out great though, so I know everything will work out fine in the end.

Not quite packing yet, since we're wearing our clothes that we'll take with us. Indiana has had excellent weather the past few weeks. Hardly any rain, and sunny breezy 70ish weather.

I do have a place in our closet that has a pile of stuff for the cruise though. Guess I better start going through it all and figure out how I'm going to pack stuff.

For you repeat cruisers......how does the check-in work out if DH is dropping the car off at rental place? Here's the scenario: Travelers are DH, me, DD's, and my mom. DH was going to drop us all off at the terminal and then return the rental to Avis and catch the shuttle to port. So I assumed that mom and girls could take a seat, and I just take everyone's birth certificates including DH's and check-in. They would give me all the Key to the world cards, and then when DH arrived he would just come on in and everything would be okay. Please tell me how it goes!!!! Thanks!
