MAY 12th-19th!! THESE ARE THE MAYS OF OUR LIVES! Part 2

Okay, Mayers...

I need that special May power we have. If any of you can, please send PD, thoughts, or prayers for wisdom for DH and me.

We went to a house last night that we have fallen in love with. It is beautiful, and doesn't need anything structurally done to it. The only thing that would need to be done would be from a personal taste stand point.

The only thing is, it is in the uppermost ranges of our budget (I mean, almost OUT of our budget, LOL). I really didn't want to go as high as it's listed. The market here is just so limited that to go as low as we would ultimately like, we would sacrifice things such as school systems for the children. Some homes that we have seen are in the middle of our range, but need major updates, that would ultimately end up costing about the same as what this house is listed for.

I am so frustrated I could pull my hair out.:headache:

All I wanted to do for the next couple of weeks was look forward to the trip, and now this has come up. If we don't act on it, we know it will be gone before we get back. Ugh. What to do.

So, sorry for the pity party on the MAYers thread. I just needed to vent a little, and ya'll are my buds...

Thanks for listening.

Jo

Jo..sending Pixie dust your way :tink: ...Did you put in an offer?

Not yet, JC. We are still trying to figure out the month-to-month budget and what the best mortgage company is. Dh's company will buy down points for us.

What is killing us are the taxes. Between our house tax and borough tax, we would pay an astronomical amount a year, and I am just sick over it.

OR...

We could keep renting here until at least December, when our lease is up and hope the owner will continue to let us rent.

I'm so confused.

On a lighter note...

Peach Cobbler for dessert!!!! YUM.

How long has this house been on the market...and are you in a strong marketing area? Buyer or Seller market...will the taxes stay the same or will they go up year by year?
And are you happy with the house you are in now and how long will you be in this state? Is there a chance you will be moving again? Not much help am I?
I am of the belief that if things are meant to be..they will...if not something much better will come along...that's just how I think...I will send tons of PIXIE DUST that this will work out in you favor...and you will make the choice that is best for you and your family...
