hey all...

Shelly - sorry to hear about the snow. Thank u for the heads up on the photoshare. I'm gonna start a group. I'm getting really excited about the trip. We r buying our airline tickets on Friday.

RF - u have some great ressies planned.

Sea- great picture.

Mari, where all are you eating at in January? You haven't been on the January thread in awhile!

I can't believe we are only missing each other by a few weeks!

Hey, where's Huggie??? I wonder if she's still going the first week of February. . .

Snow Shelly??? Wow. It is like 80 and a bit humid. I just turned on the air conditioner. Don't hate me...:lmao: - Sea

Hey shelly what is the thread I don't know why it's not in my list of threads.

Sea- 80 I'm jealous......

Well in jan we are only eating in 1900 park fare. I never got everyone to agree to a specific ressie so I made one for 7 people. We are all getting more excited....

Probably because we are on Part III already! :rotfl: I think the last time you posted we were still on Part I! Here it is, come on over! :goodvibes http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1992315

Good morning MAYers.

Well the snow didn't last long yesterday. About 30 minutes and didn't stick. But then we woke up to about 2 inches covering the ground. :sad2: This really stinks! In recent years the snow hasn't started near this early, more like January. It's going to be a long long winter.

Morning!

It looks cold on this side of the nation. It even looks cold in Florida. I wonder if Jo needs a coat! Right now it is only 53 degrees and it is 10:30.

It looks really cold up around Mari and Shelly!

Where in the world is Huggie? :confused3

Have any of you voted?

I am going to try to vote early.

I heard the lines here are 2 hours long. :sad2:

Maybe today! :rolleyes1

Where do you guys vote and how long are the lines in your area?

If I vote early, I can go to the public library in my neighborhood, if not, I vote at the Presbyterian Church. If I vote today, I will tell you guys how long it took!

Hey NC. Believe it or not I have never voted in my life. :guilty: I know, that's terrible. BUT, I am now registered and am going to vote for the very first time this year. I feel with the way the country is going it is very important to vote now.

So I have no idea what to expect as far as the wait and the whole process. I don't recall DH ever having to wait long when he has gone to vote.

I'm not sure if we can vote early in PA or not. DH and I were just talking about that last night. He didn't think early voting was available in all states. I need to check into that.

We go to the local National Guard Armory to vote.

Hurray for you registering to vote! I think it is such an important right. We are so priviledged in America to have the right to choose our leaders. Not every country has that freedom you know!

Let us know how your first experience goes!

Here you can check the website for the county clerk's office to when and where you can early vote. Hope that helps!

Morning all......

Well this is the first time i'm voting in this town but I know you vote at the public library... In other years I've voted at a high school and never waited too much. This year they are closing 14 schools in my area for voting... they say they are expecting a record number of people voting.

Hey everyone! Sorry to hear about the cold weather - it is sunny today here and will get up about 76 or so.

Got a trade show to put on in 2 weeks. Thankfully, it is going to be at the LA convention center, 10 miles from home. Starting to organize the brochures and the booth. Four days of show...I probably won't have a voice left after it is over. LOL!

Last weekend for the Halloween decorations at DLR. I will get some pics of that.

We saw the DL Christmas tree in the backstage area as we were coming in on the trams. I can't believe that is going to start up soon.

Going to Palm Springs for Thanksgiving. Anyone got any plans for that holiday?

Have a great day!

Hey all.... I"m excited just got my air.... $179pp roundtrip with no stops.... I just told everyone in my family so they can get theirs but i'm not sure if they are going to get it today or still wait until friday.... hey i can't wait not for that price.... originally it was 249 PP... I tried staying a couple of days and go to CBR for a couple of night but just for 2 nights it would have been 651 so i decided against it... we will try to squeeze a trip sometime next year...

Congrats on the airfare! :goodvibes

Why so much at CBR for 2 nights? I though it was $149 a night in January. . .

I don't know shelly i just did it again to see and it comes out to 685 and that is with 2 day park tickets no hopper or anything.... it's putting me in a king bed room so i don't know it that has anything to do with it....

It's stating 1 night is $174.... plus tickets... i don't know.... it's ok till next time CBR....

Just back from voting. :faint:

It took about 2.5 hours. :sad2:

There were only 5 machines at our location. I heard downtown that there are 18 machines.

We do have electronic ballot with touch screen which is nice.

What kind of ballot do you guys have?

Electronic?

The old pull the handle machines? ( I love those. It really made me feel like I voted. You pulled the curtain closed behind you and had complete privacy.)

Paper Ballot?

Mari - Congrats on the airfare. :cool1: That did seem a bit high for CBR, but I don't buy my tickets as part of the room so that could be the difference. Is it just you and your dd? Maybe you try one of the values. They have king size beds. Just a thought. ;)

I am so shocked that schools are closed on election day in your town. When I tell my kids they will be freaked out. They would so love a day off from school for any reason. :lmao:
