May 13-18th- quick trip. I am soooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are doing All star Music! Never been there before!

I tell you- this is such a last minute trip- I have never scrambled like this before.

It started on Sunday, when our friends came over for dinner and I was helping them with their trip- they are going May 3-10th. And I was trying to help them choose places to eat- and I was freaking out b/c they hadn't made any ADR's and didn't know anything at all! So they signed up for TGM- and we printed out his best parks/ and other pertinent info.


So while the wife and I were in the library talking Disney, I could hear Mark saying to the husband- you'll have a great time. It won't be bad- the touring plans Jodi will give you will be great, blah blah blah.

So they leave and Mark says- wow they are going to have a great trip.
I said yeah, they will.

That was it. I didn't have any motives, nothing up my sleeve, not even THINKING of suggesting we go. Nothing. I promise.

Monday morning, Mark says "I'm not going into the office today-" we're drinking coffee, chatting, I'm eating cereal. I said "okay," and shrugged my shoulders-

Mark says" i need a vacation". I said "Well, we're going in October - going to SC in July, blah blah"

Mark: "No, I mean now- in the next few weeks"
Me- "Well, Mom is coming- we can't take the kids out to go"
Mark-"no- me and you".
Me- "well, we could go to the city (NYC) and see a show and shop."
Mark-"no"
Me- 'Boston?"
Mark- "no"
Me-"Cleveland? Cinci to see Tony and jen? (our friends)"
Mark-"no."
Me........." I don't know what you want to do- just tell me."
(okay, I get the "duh award").
Mark- "I want to go to Disney world. And I don't want to wait for October. How much will it cost? I don't care- I want to go. Now."



MY HUSBAND, the one I had to play games with in order to get him to agree to the October trip by promising dreams of seeing his beloved Gators play IN THE SWAMP---
has become a lover of Disney.

I never in a million years thought I would see this day.



And he has been home every day since then helping me figure out what to do- wherer to stay- rental car/no rental car...

Okay- so he is stressed at work. But I will gladly take pity on the poor man and be dragged along in his dreams of chasing the mouse.

That is so awesome. He's now a true Disney convert

We aren't flying in until late, late, late (10pm) on the 13th...

so-

5/14- Wednesday- MK all day
5/15- Thursday- Epcot all day
5/16- Friday- MK/ DHS
5/17- Saturday- Sleep in/ Epcot

Adrs...
um, yeah. Still working on them. Might do a lot of counterservice. We are just really trying to save $ and not go all out b/c of the trip in October-
so I know we will probably do the majority of CS.

Has anyone ever stayed at ASMu? I heard it was okay --- but i got it for room only rate of $84 a nigt. WE could have done CBR waterview for right under $1000- room only but with it being a quick trip -we thought we'd better tighten up the wallet, and not splurge.

Mark had me looking at the Contemp and Poly-.... um, honey, you said budget trip, not all out trip.

Oh my gosh, I'm going to have to redo the lists again!!!!! How did you get LeCellier??? Dh's co-worker put toegther a trip for May 13-16 last month and said he couldn't get anthing there!

I truly don't know how I did it. I called last night around 9:30 and got it. So I called today and see if they had anything later and she was surprised I got the lunch. Dh is happy now. It is at 2:10 so we can snack around for dinner. I think I might go to see Fantasmic that night too.

Well- I did it.

I am such a loser.

I should have gotten the $79 r/t fare from Airtran last month when i saw it.

SW released thru October 30- and so I bought one way at $96 pp. So with fees- it's $530- one way.

Oh I hate myself. I was to afraid with the price of gas going up up up and that i would never see a fare that cheap.

Welllllll...
I will look everyday to see if I get a ding or something that I could apply to these flights- and then mybe have a credit when they release for Nov. 1st.

ugh. i am sick.

But I did budget $1000 for flights so I guess I am still okay.

it's ok jo... you are still under budget and a couple hundred dollars saved would be nice, but honestly i'm sure that you found other ways to save money while you guys are down there so - it all works out in the end
