don't get me wrong - bob is excited (he's actually starting to retain some of the information that i am telling him ) but i don't think he would EVER suggest a spur of the moment WDW trip.... ever

We are doing All star Music! Never been there before!

I tell you- this is such a last minute trip- I have never scrambled like this before.

It started on Sunday, when our friends came over for dinner and I was helping them with their trip- they are going May 3-10th. And I was trying to help them choose places to eat- and I was freaking out b/c they hadn't made any ADR's and didn't know anything at all! So they signed up for TGM- and we printed out his best parks/ and other pertinent info.


So while the wife and I were in the library talking Disney, I could hear Mark saying to the husband- you'll have a great time. It won't be bad- the touring plans Jodi will give you will be great, blah blah blah.

So they leave and Mark says- wow they are going to have a great trip.
I said yeah, they will.

That was it. I didn't have any motives, nothing up my sleeve, not even THINKING of suggesting we go. Nothing. I promise.

Monday morning, Mark says "I'm not going into the office today-" we're drinking coffee, chatting, I'm eating cereal. I said "okay," and shrugged my shoulders-

Mark says" i need a vacation". I said "Well, we're going in October - going to SC in July, blah blah"

Mark: "No, I mean now- in the next few weeks"
Me- "Well, Mom is coming- we can't take the kids out to go"
Mark-"no- me and you".
Me- "well, we could go to the city (NYC) and see a show and shop."
Mark-"no"
Me- 'Boston?"
Mark- "no"
Me-"Cleveland? Cinci to see Tony and jen? (our friends)"
Mark-"no."
Me........." I don't know what you want to do- just tell me."
(okay, I get the "duh award").
Mark- "I want to go to Disney world. And I don't want to wait for October. How much will it cost? I don't care- I want to go. Now."




MY HUSBAND, the one I had to play games with in order to get him to agree to the October trip by promising dreams of seeing his beloved Gators play IN THE SWAMP---
has become a lover of Disney.

I never in a million years thought I would see this day.



And he has been home every day since then helping me figure out what to do- wherer to stay- rental car/no rental car...

Okay- so he is stressed at work. But I will gladly take pity on the poor man and be dragged along in his dreams of chasing the mouse.

I cant believe it. I am so excited. Are you doing the dining plan? I swear if I don't meet up with the famous Jo I will be so upset.

Seacrest- Come on out. You know you want to go to Disneyworld

Jo, that is the coolest story!!!!!! I am so glad you get to go...

Some day I hope we can be that spontaneous. On the job I have right now we have to request all our vacation time for the whole year in November of the year before So my last minute getaways have to be local, like to SF or Mendocino, something within a few hours that we can get to for the weekend. Ah, WDW... Even last minute planning, I know you will have a fabulous time! Sure hope you do a trip report...

Mark is not keen on the idea of a big meet up.

He thinks it is strange that I talk to "complete strangers" on the computer...every day.



So while I am there in body...
I don't know if I could ever convince him of meeting up with everyone.
It makes me sad.

We ran into NC last year in Tomorrowland- and he was great with that. He thought that was nice, actually.
Then we saw JC briefly at Cali Grill- and he was okay with that.
But to actually plan a dinner or something- he is not keen on.

So i don't know what to do.

Um, I can tell you all which days we will be at which parks and hopefully we can "bump" into one another.

We couldn't get many ADR's yet so I am still working on it.

but, he's kinda shy... just when he meets people.... once you know him he's pretty wild
