Now I got to make dinner reservations and put together a special slideshow CD for my wife. Got to think of a theme for the slideshow - last year's theme was set to music of "Do you think I am sexy?" I won't go into any more detail about that show...:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Any special plans for Valentines day???

:rotfl: :rotfl:

no special plans here....i actually told DH for us to celebrate another day other then vday... the wait is TOOOOOO long....

Mari: We stayed in 8-A just behind the DIG pool site.

The rooms are very quiet and we never heard any outside noise or people walking past the room. If you take the buses, you are very close to bus stop there too. The parking is very good there too.

Thanks....:surfweb: i'll research which is the best area and then cross my fingers that i get that choice...

Here is a good explanation about the Pepper Market from a guy who loves this place:

THE PEPPER MARKET
The Pepper Market is our favorite place to eat. When you enter the 420-seat Pepper Market, you will notice it's not your average food court. This is Disney's first new style, "interactive" food court on property. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. You choose your meals in a Mexican market-style set-up while walking from station to station and talking with the chefs. You are seated by a host/hostess and receive a ticket. The host/hostess will take your drink order.

You then can stroll around the food areas, choose what you want to eat and receive a stamp on your ticket for each item you get (each guest receives their own card). At the end of the meal, you present your ticket(s) to a host/hostess and pay as you leave. 10% gratuity is automatically charged to your bill at the Pepper Market. If you would like to get you meal "To Go", make sure to get a "To Go" ticket and you will not be charge the 10% gratuity. The Pepper Market is open 6:30am - 11pm.

Check out this guys' CSR web site: Lots and lots of good info here:

Seacrest

Hi Sea! :goodvibes

What would you recommend at PM? We will probably eat there at least 2-3 times. It looks like there are a lot of options. That will be great! We were really disappointed in the food court at POFQ last year. Way too small. We loved the big food court at CBR.

So is PM really as confusing to navigate as some people say it is??? I hear it is the best CS meal at Disney, but the way it is set up is very confusing. Something about a card and a waitress. . . for a food court. . . :confused3

Yea, I found that site last year and it was so helpful.

BTW, don't think that they just serve Mexican food, it is a whole variety of things - American, Italian, a great breakfast selection. My wife raved about the omlet she got and my boys ate up and got stuffed on the biscuts and gravy, sausage and bacon. Again, everything was so fresh and made to order. Cool in my book!

That's Buzz I have him as one of my favorites in my websites.... he really does have great info and his site is the one that helped me convince DH to go there instead of POP...

Hey Shelly - I have mixed feelings about this new attraction. I like AI, but I don't think it fits well with Disney. I would rather see a new ride or attraction based on a Disney or Pixar character(s). Disney has a very deep well of unused but popular properties that they could showcase in a ride. What makes Disney so good is the way the characters have so much depth and development behind them and that is why people are so attached to them.

Agreed. I don't think I like this idea at all. Sounds a bit cheesy ( and I hate that term, LOL) to me.

Seems like they COULD come up with something better than that. Maybe like an INTENSE ride like The Mummy @ that "other" theme park.;) Everyone talked about how intense Everest was when it opened, and while I liked the ride okay, I think they could do better.

Jo

I have always thought that a Disney "Villians" ride would be super cool. There is so much you could do with that.

Hey guys,

I have been so busy today decorating the basement for Sunday and baking cookies for the kids to decorate. I am so tired.

I am off to bed and then tomorrow is dance class and I made cupcakes for that.

Morning all....

Huggie - Have a fun time in the party tommorrow....

Today i'm off to a place something like chucky cheese with my DD and a friend with her daughter. Then off to the mall with my DD.... then to my mothers to drop off a cheesecake that my DSIL made for my preggo sister... then FINALLY home...

Yes, I was wondering what American Idol has to do with Disney ???
I mean, Idol is okay. . . I really liked it at first. . . I love Chris Daughtry. . . but since then it has been pretty . . . blah. . .

Oh well, I'm just hoping for a sneak peak at the Toy Story Mania in MAY!! :wizard:

Sounds like a fun day Mari! :goodvibes Have a great time!

We are supposed to go do some shopping tonight and go to dinner, but it has been snowing since I got up this morning. I'll have to see how the roads are later. . .

Just a quick fly by-
hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start.

Mary Catherine came down with a cold yesterday. Poor thing. She has a
B-day party to go to (being the new girl, she doesn't get invited to many places.), and its at an indoor water park thing-y. I told her she doesn't have to get in the water if she doesn't feel like it, but I feel like she should go to the party. No fever, etc.

Drew and Belle both have games today.

I MIGHT get my ring today...

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Huggie, have a great party! Mari! Send me some cheesecake! Shelly! Don't slide off the road!;)

Hugs all around, MAYers.
Another weekend closer to our favorite place on Earth!

Jo

good morning... or afternoon for many of us.

Jo- I hope Mary Cat feels better and enjoys the party.

Huggie- Birthday Hugs coming to your house today.

Shelly- that AI info surprised me too. Didnt know Disney had any involvement and interest in a FOX prtoduction.... hahaha:happytv:

We are having a nice quiet lazy day here... so much going omn lately that we need it.

I was re-reading the press release for this and began thinking who in their right mind thinks that the participants and their family members are going to give up most of their day from riding the rides and visiting all the other attractions at DHS so that they could be part of this show. This might be fun for the participants in the show, but, in the end what is the point of all this? Nobody gets a record contract, a car, or a concert tour, for winning that day's show.

This show belongs at US next to the Simpsons ride, another Fox production.

Here is a better idea: Take same sound stage and put on a Disney Television Stage Production Show. For 45 minutes, do musical highlights from the shows: That's So Raven, Phil of The Future, Suite Life, Lizzy McGuire, Even Stevens, High School Musical and Hannah Montana.

Isn't that better than having to sit in a show watching some guy or gal trying to imitate the meaness of Simon Cowell of your kid's singing performance? That would not be a "magical moment" for sure.

What a nice WDW vacation memory that would be...NOT!

I am not against Disney forging alliances with other entertainment properties, however, they need to be very selective and careful how it is executed. The Star Wars and Indiana Jones alliances have fitted quite nicely into DL out here.

Right now, there is a popular show at DL in the Tomorrowland area called Jedi Training, where you learn how to be a Jedi and get light saber training. The kids are really into it. After you train, Darth Vader appears with Darth Maul and the kids get to fight DV. I wish I was 10 years old again so that I could fight against Darth Vader!

This fits - Tomorrowland + Star Wars = Be come a Jedi in your future and take a trip to Endor.

I don't think that this AI thing will be around that long at DHS - hopefully.
